I like the sound of the internal parts on the Viessmann, they sound better quality? I have a victorian house with 3 floors. Does this have any bearing on boiler choice, i.e the height that the boiler would be pushing water upstairs ti the top floor? Pump and expansion vessel, does it matter? Also is it worth installing an inline water softner at installation, does it help to maintain efficiency of the internal parts and heat exchanger. Just thinking of trying to do the best job at installation as possible in regard to boiler life and efficiency. Does @Heatable also upgrade radiators at the same time too and open therm sensor to the boiler. Apologies for many questions 😉

I think it's only boiler replacement. I asked for a new boiler and a switch from vented to unvented and they wouldn't provide a quote, whereas they quoted for boiler only switch. So my guess is no for replacement rads..

The difference between a warranty and a guarantee as I understand it is with a warranty they will investigate any problems and put them right but not necessarily free of charge.A guarantee will ensure problems will be fixed without charge.

Morning Guys, I am moving in to a 3 bed bungalow and want to upgrade to a combi boiler, there's 10 rads , there's an ensuite bathroom with electric shower and separate bathroom with bath and power shower, currently the boiler is in garage. I want the best efficient boiler/ hydrogen ready money can buy? Any advice would be much appreciated, kind regards Danny uk

@Heatable 2 года назад
Hey 👋. No problem at all! Based on the information you provided, the best, most efficient, hydrogen-ready boiler you can buy is going to be either the Viessmann 050 or the Viessmann 100. They are both hydrogen-ready and A-rated efficiency. If you choose to buy your boiler installation through Heatable, you'll also get a ten-year guarantee on both these boilers. What's more, if you go for the Viessmann 050, we're offering an energy-saving bundle, where you get a free Google Nest smart thermostat included with your installation. Let us know if we can help with anything else!

Hi Guys, just a question that I can't find an answer to, and that when trying to get an on line quote should be asked when trying to obtain an estimate, is that , is there any conflict replacing a boiler from a standard heating system ie, copper tank set up to a combi, the exsisting pipework size mine being 10mm microbore?? Kind regards Danny

@@TheLegend-nx3mm Hey, thanks for getting in touch again! Microbore will work with a combi boiler, it's just more prone to blocking. If your system is in reasonable health it shouldn't be a problem. P.s. we hope you're using us for an online quote. 😉

I’m Worcester Bosch accredited, but they don’t support Open Therm and I believe that the Viessmann does so you could use 3rd party Weather Compensation such as Nest on the Viessmann but you would have to use the Bosch Easicontrol for this function on the Worcester and it can not run all types of system eg S-Plan + UFH etc, Worcester should add Open Therm then it would be the best product in my opinion

@garyhawkins9246
@garyhawkins9246 2 года назад
@@paulgannon3261 yes I understand that the Nest can open and close a zone valve and the end switch call the Boiler Live Return, but what if your customer wants to run different Temperatures in different rooms for the Underfloor Heating? In this instance you would need something line a Heatmiser UH8, that makes the nest redundant, you could only use the nest if you run all of the Underfloor Heating at one room temperature and even then there is still no way to accurately use the Nest for Weather compensation with the Worcester Boiler as Nest uses Open Therm and Worcester doesn’t, don’t get me wrong, I like Worcester Boilers, I fit Worcester Boilers, but they need to up their game on Controls with regard to the new Part L regulations as do pretty much all the Boiler manufacturer’s
@Nimarex
@Nimarex 2 года назад
@@garyhawkins9246 Yes but underfloor only runs at 45c and is mixed at the blender so technically any weather compensator would not drop flow temps enough to effect it and if it did drop to say 55c then hardly any mixing would be required. Multiple zones can still operate in one manifold with independent actuators and separate zone stats

Just some info based on my experience of combi's. The boiler cannot do two things are once. It cannot give you hot water for shower or baths and keep the heating going. So in winter you get up. House is nice and warm. Then the family all hit the showers. The house cools down noticablebly. I had a Vallient eco tec 937 fitted. About 7 years ago. Something to consider. Folks.

Nice video but misleading about the stainless steel main heat exchanger of the Viessmann being better in a hard water area than the Worcester's Aluminium one since the main heat exchanger water is virtually never changed and should always have a corrosion inhibitor added at installation (such as Fernox). Both boilers will have, I imagine, grade 316 stainless steel hot water plate heat exchangers for the HWS. To be picky saying the Viessmann has a stainless steel main heat exchanger is meaningless without mentioning the grade, again it's almost certainly grade 316. N.B. Worcester from day one (of their manufacture of condensing gas boilers) have added Silicon to the melt of their Aluminium castings for their main heat exchangers, which increases considerably the corrosion resistance. Wall thickness of the Aluminium main heat exchanger is, I believe, 6 mm + but the conductivity of the Aluminium is so good that it isn't an issue.

You need to up your game and explain the pros and cons of each boiler v price and then ask for a preference from the customer. Just quoting a price and a boiler doesn't cut it for a well informed customer. I'd rather have a quality boiler with a higher price but others maybe the price is all.
