you started off there looking at the Loco Cafe"what now is an Old signal box that used to operate the old butts line which ran to the right of the bridge on a slope down to the racecourse, there are quite a stretch of the track bed still for folks to see" including two low bridges, Great clip of my old city, thank you,.

Lol, most of the historic heart of Worcester was bulldozed in the 60s and 70s, Friar street was lucky to escape.

That's a shame... You can view many old photos of Worcester in The Hive or Guildhall at the moment... There are several interesting displays. @@trondog8503

I was born and bred in Worcester but moved to the North East 22 years ago. So much has changed to what it was but it brings back so many memories. There used to be a taxi rank under forgate street bridge in the late 70's, we used to stand in a long queue to get a taxi home after clubbing it. Standing in the freezing cold, a little worse for wear to get home. It is beautiful inside that church , my friend took me their a few times. The large building opposite the church used to be the dole centre. The black building to your right, used to be a pub I cant remember the name though. Bushwackers used to be a bar /restaraunt and you could go in for a lovely meal, lots of food and a good price. We ate there often. Under the arches is the hopmarket, years ago I worked for Deansway Catering and their building was in there. Further along there used to be a citizen advice centre too. I notice Mac Donalds is still on the corner, nothing has changed there it has been there for years. I would love to go home. My husband says this is our home but Its not where my roots are. We do have a beautiful coastline up here though and it is only a 10 minute walk to the beach, I still don't class it as home though.

A very random question but recently I have been considering moving to Worcester from Birmingham would you advise against moving here or would you think its a good idea especially for scenery and a better life?

I don't know Worcester, I've just been twice. But I would say it looks like a nice place to live. The people are friendly, the scenery is incredible (looks like a medieval town), it looks safe. I don't know anything about jobs opportunities there. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the city but again I've only been there twice.

I've lived in Worcester my whole life and while I may be biased, I do think it's better than Birmingham. For me personally, Birmingham is far too large and some of the road networks are utterly baffling to me. I'd much rather live in a more compact city with a population of around 100,000 vs over a million. The only time I ever go to Birmingham these days is to watch a concert at the likes of the O2 Academy. I could objectively say the scenery of Worcester and the surrounding areas is certainly greater than that of Birmingham. It's also a lot safer than Birmingham too, but just like any city there are areas which you should avoid moving into due to them having higher crime rates: Tolladine, Dines Green, Ronkswood etc.

I've lived in both, and I much prefer Worcester. I hope you decided to live here. It's more relaxed and friendly, with lots of beautiful buildings and countryside. For other people considering the move, just be aware that if you want to commute to B'ham, the train service is very patchy.

Two little bits of information for you: @13:00 Bushwackers is a bar/nightclub, not a restaurant. The main entrance is in Trinity Street. @42:10 The Cardinal's Hat on the left is the oldest pub in Worcester which dates back to the 1300's.

On the left a few metres down New St (33:13) you can see an old pub called King Charles. Thats where King Charles hid from Oliver Cromwell's army that were looking for him, he looked down on them from the window as they marched passed.
