My laugh of relief startled the cat on my lap, who went flying out of the room! Very well done, Mark -- how you managed to get THAT from the position you had is little short of amazing. 😻
Mark’s opening word sequence currently: TRUTH KNOWN VIEWS FIRST FIXED MINDS OTHER THEIR HEARD ABOUT TAKEN CRIED YOUNG LARGE NORTH PLACE HOUSE THING Theme: The 5-letter words from Jane Austen’s novel “Pride and Prejudice”, in order “What is his name?” “Bingley.” “Is he married or single?” “Oh, single, my dear, to be sure! A single man of large fortune; four or five thousand a year. What a fine thing for our GIRLS!”
@@leporid257 adjusting for inflation, Mr. Bingley would be making today’s equivalent of 288,819.80£ (or 363,626.46$) per year. That would also be about the right amount of money to lead a middle-class lifestyle in America! What a world we live in
I was certain I was going to not get this word. I had two guesses left and I really thought it was between jerry, merry and ferry. To my surprise ferry gave me only one r, which gave me jerky as only option left, which I hadn't even thought of before. So I was quite happy in the end.
It has been a tough batch, Mark, but you're still incredible, and the fact that you share a bit of your time making this wholesome wordles is amazing. Let's build uo that streak!
@fatsilentbob - A double RR would have been better than SS. Having a Y ending too, is quite common, leaving more options. I often use a Y as a pseudo Vowel
Jerky was really hard. In the last 5 days (not counting today) 4 out 5 wordles were completed on the sixth guess. That's 4 out of 15 total sixth guesses out of 175 plays. Including today my streak has reached 144. Seems like they want everyone to lose their streaks these days.
i always start with a completely random word - either something related to what i did that day or the song i'm listening to or something like that. that day jerky was the first thing that came to mind (don't ask what i had been doing lol) and i was gagged when i got it in one
So happy that you took your time with this Mark. 🙂 I hate it when you rush.....lol. Not that you had much to lose today but JERKY is definitely a streak ender. 🙄
CHAOS -> PLUME -> FEINT -> WEEDY -> JERKY Started out much the same as Mark, with nothing but a yellow E after two guesses. Took a bit to uncover anything else of substance.
aislE->notEd->wREcK-> JERKY Today I beat the Wordlebot and Scoredle, but only because I didn't think of PERKY. I retained my new and fragile streak. (15)
Yes! You did it! 🥳🥳 I was worried when I saw that it was a "long" video... How did "jerky" just pop into your head like that? Amazing For me, I started with "lumpy", a lucky first guess that came out of nowhere. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
MARVEL CHARACTERS ALPHABETICALLY DAY 5: ATLAS - DRINK - PUKER - BROKE - JERKY I got the K early, and then had to figure out where it was! Double used the second R there, but would have probably taken even longer otherwise.
Lost my streak of 38 to this one. I found ER in the 2nd one with Feral but I just could not figure out anything else after that. Here’s hoping the next streak would be longer!
Again trying to be fast and opting for words with double letters. Third guess prevented falling into the RRY trap, however. Still almost didn't make it. BUILT EVERY RECCY NERDY JERKY
I can't imagine the psychological pressure of knowing you're working this out in front of thousands of people. I only thought of Jerky as a desperate last choice.
