i prefer the codex bluetooth lens adapters, when your camera is on the tripod, instead of taking the camera and lens off you can press a quick release button on the lens adapter, the lens is then free to walk around with (10m range) and use the click button on the adapter to take a pic, you can get into small places with one hand

I'm not really sure why you would choose to mount the QR plate directly to the bottom of your cameras. It seems to be designed to go underneath the tripod head, so you can move the whole thing between a tripod/slider/monopod and have the use of the head's movements.
Thanks Zdenka! This video is a great review and huge help. I too have the iFootage Cobra 2 Monopod and a 2-week old (waited 6 months for it to be in stock) iFootage Gazelle TC6S tripod. Both are absolutely amazing! I was hoping the TC6S had the same quick release system the Cobra 2 does, but it doesn't. I have a gimbal head I like to switch between the tripod and monopod for bird pictures. The tripod for the tree shots, and then the monopod once the bird (sometimes butterflies) starts flying off and I go running through ponds and tick infested prairie grasses. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for the review.
Out of the box this thing is great Three months in - it doesn't work and is potentially damaging to your equipment Don't buy Customer support terrible I tried to help them - no avail
That was a helpful video - this seems a very useful and sturdy piece of kit. I am one of those who actually don't like the Arca mount as I am never confident that it hasn't worked loose - this device sounded and looked like it really does lock a camera in place, and might well be worth the wait. Thanks for showing a useful new device :)
Ahoj Sdenka, Finally got a 'new' Cannon AOS D60. 📸 It makes my old tripod look flimsy. I cant swing it around for Instagram. All I need is lights💡and action now! 🎬
@@ZdenkaDarula thanks for that. It kind of drives me crazy, because I am using it with the K5 Komodo and it really loosens easily!! It is a serious design flaw, in an otherwise amazing system. Also, not sure if you have figured out how to inter-use the monopod with their connector on it, with the sea star? They need to be duplicated when there should be something to connect to that monopod connection, when you shouldn’t have to add the sea star on top of the monopod too. Just a thought. zelda, due to the size of this plate, would it not be a logical asumption to say this system is for between the tripod column and the head?, thus leaving the small camera issue closed (as the arca-swiss, manfrotto RC-2, or other qr's have the size issue covered by them). However One eception does come to mind, that of a MF or large format monorail rail-clamp, as these don't have the size issue, and the size does matter, the bigger the surface area, the greater the contact, hence weight distribution, and would make adding these camera systems to the tripod a lot quicker.
@@ZdenkaDarula good point, but one other thing I noticed (as I have Autism, and notice these things),that when installing this to the column, that end of the receiver is hex shaped , so, to take the plate off, aka operate the lever section, this would unscrew the assembly (same direction!), so may I suggest a fix to give to ifootage, that of providing a 'wrench' to tighten the thread onto the head, and hold it while manipulating the clamping grub screws, or to open the head to get the plate off, to add to the camera, off the tripod, a simple tool would help.
Zdenka, thanks for this great review. Quick question. I have the QR plate from the K5 on the bottom of my camera. I need to connect the camera to another tripod which has my teleprompter. This teleprompter system has the regular 1/4 screw to attach to the bottom of the camera, but as I said, the camera has the plate connected to it. Is there a compatible plate mount I can buy where I can connect the QR plate to? I already have the seastars connected to the K5. Thank you.
Ahoy Dzenka..I have a little question about gimpals and monopods. I know its not direcly related to this video. I just want to ask you if it is possible to manage the gimpal remotely from the shaft og the monopod. I think its very unconfortable that you may have to start at stop the video from the top end of the monopod so I thougth the may be a solution. Thanks in advance.
Hi, good review! It's not clear to me, in order to change fluid head from the tripod to monopod, the monopod must have the Seastar quick release base or can be mounted without, just in the monopod base? Thanks you!
