Worker Caliburn - Build & Review 

Those are the most recent files for the takedown, so you can print your own coupler off of thingiverse in either orientation. If you can it's best to print them in PETG or ABS. The file for the Upper portion of the magwell also allows for a hex nut on the upper threaded rod. I also offer a coupler with aluminum inserts.

Slug did release an “AluMilan” coupler, it replaces the stock milan coupler piece and accepts little aluminum inserts to strengthen the blaster! That might be worth checking out

It’s really cool that Slug is getting royalties, especially because Chinese companies aren’t known for respecting people's original work. Of course, if I wanted another Caliburn I’d just buy it directly from him because I’m not really a huge fan of the white and red/blue color scheme.

If anyone has the problem with the print breaking down like in this video, Captain Slug has his version up on thingiverse. The milan coupler, that's what Slug calls the part that crack on the worker caliburn, is recommended to be printed with a layer height of no more than 0.3mm, have a four line outer shell, and be printed with at least 20% infill. The war I went to the day after completing my caliburn, built from a Captain Slug hardware with the 788 spring, got between one and two hundred rounds through it before my hand started to blister. At the end of the day, I had Captain Xavier check my work on the blaser, and he said he saw no major issues. While, yes, now it's starting to look like I'll need to reprint the coupler for my caliburn, Captain Slug has taken steps to counter the structural issues with the blaster; and since the upload of this video, Slug has come out with a version of the milan coupler that has specially made aluminum, yes, I'm American, deal with it, inserts that make it far stronger and Worker has a fully injection molded caliburn receiver.

I know it's not your X-Strike colors, Cap'n, but that blue and white scheme looks so pretty... ***EDIT: Also, 84 fps from a shot with two half-darts is still pretty impressive. Potentially useful, too, if the spread pattern is at all predictable.

My friend got the metal reinforcements for that CS part that cracked, it connects the take down pins to the pin that holds magwell in. You should look into them

as far as I’m aware this caluburn is mostly done with metic screws/bolts so not sure if a standard one would work

i've noticed that the magwell of the Deploy is based off the flashlight housing on an MP10 smg, so theoretically you can modify the magwell to hold a strong flashlight, attach it to the front of a stryfe and make an AR styled MP10 that would be dubbed: the MAR-10

Calibur(n) Isn't actually another name for the Sword Excalibur. Calibur is the sword King Arthur owned before Excalibur and he pulled Calibur out of the stone. Excalibur was gifted to him from the lady of the lake after he lost calibur in a battle

Looks good, I have the ability to print Caliburn parts, but getting a full kit to assemble seems simpler than printing off the parts and ordering the hardware kit separately, if I can convert it with my own printed parts, I don't see any reason to not make it a Rivalburn or Megaburn.

Honestly, the teardown feature should have been horizontal pins or thumbscrews and not vertical pins. If you must have teardown, a small-diameter hole is a lot more structurally sound than a long channel in that orientation.

Being the owner of 8 caliburns, 6 of which are printed in petg and takedown versions, you really REALLY need to print that coupler (the part that cracked) in PETG or ABS. I've printed them in PLA and they've cracked after anywhere between a few shots, and a couple of katanas worth of darts. I printed version 1 and 2, and version 2 lasted about 20 mags worth of firings in a 788 spring, and I've printed the version you have, the chunky version (which can be found here www.thingiverse.com/thing:3194439 but it has been rolled into the standard file set too ) in PETG and it hasnt died yet (both 788 and k26). I've found that If you turn down or disable your cooling fan while printing in petg, and slow the print speed down a little bit (maybe 10% ish) it will give better layer adhesion and make for a much stronger part, just dont print in 100% infill (60-70% should do, with 2mm perimeters/walls) because in my experience a solid object will counter-intuitively crack a lot easier from the vibration and friction than something with a lower infill. I'm working on assembling this exact thing right now, and running into a problem. The included screws that secure the pump grip to the priming bars are not large enough, and so they won't bite into the print or the aluminum bars at all. There were also no nuts of the proper size included for those larger screws, so I have to assume they were meant to bite into the printed plastic. It's probably just me, but I just wanted to get that out there for those who can't easily secure replacement hardware.

Mine should be here any day. Drunk purchase. Hopefully I stays together and doesn’t break

Guess I've been really lucky. I got one of the first sets of the abs milancoupler and it's been holding up for almost 6 months. I do only run the k25 or 788 springs though.

The Caliburn seems way cooler than the Hurricane though, maybe that's why they sent the Caliburn to you and the Hurricane to "everybody else".

They sell a upgrade kit, including metal plunger,sear, and trigger, and other stuff for 30 dollars

There has to be some method of minimization that can be used on this blaster. I assume an individual would have to do more than just cut down the barrel but I believe there is a way to minimize this beast.

Incase you have more problems this exists... etsy.me/2WE93ZS it’s a aluminum insert and with a altered Milan coupler these put the stress into the frame of the caliburn. So it’ll work without instant disassembly.
