Ken Hardy we need more videos from you!! Please make you tube videos your insight on subjective reality is right on....The example you lead with and humbleness is something therapist can learn a great deal from. Your honesty and openess with your own life is refreshing and inspires me. There are so many intellegent people who because of the affects they see in dealing with others keep quiet. Please please make you tube videos or let me know of any other long talks youve given and where to find them...Thanks

This is a great speech. I learned early on to start looking at myself more objectively versus subjectively. However, I am human and still get stuck on my reality sometimes. I am ironically, that person that told my therapist that I was wrong by doing XYZ, and I also had issues with XYZ. Granted, it took me many years to get there, and I also thought my significant other had the stuff to work on, but at least I knew I wasn't perfect either. It was through that knowledge of self that I was able to work on myself. I was able to see the impact of perspective on my reality. When I was able to change my perspective, I saw a shift in my reality as well. I believe a lot of this comes through because of our confirmation bias. If we only focus on things that confirm our bias, and ignore the rest, we get hyperpolarized in our position. No different from how social media's algorithms work, only pushing things that we are interested in, usually negative to where our availability bias gets so full of this idea we can't see another perspective.
