I can honestly say one thing about you guys: you're very skilled and incredibly brave. WOW, look how high you guys are. Your mastery of this job is nothing short of terrific. Just so bloody high guys and doing a job as well, not just hanging about but removing cladding as well. Well I'm speechless, I would not do that for any money. Whatever they are paying you is not enough, just soooooo high guys. I'm scared witless and I'm just watching you. Geez man I wish you would stop switching those lines around to me a complete lacking in knowledge person it looks like nothing is holding you up. And you do this every day????? Honestly it's going to take you forever to complete this job, bit by bit.
Important work! The video showcasing cladding removal at height underscores the skill and dedication required for tasks at elevated levels. Safety measures and precision are clearly paramount in such operations.
N O P E Thank you for doing that my heroes! I don't even want to live in buildings like that :O I had to climb on top of my roof last summer and that is enough for me 👻
That looks like an awesome job. With a good safety culture I would really enjoy doing something like this, though I'm sure it's pretty exhausting work.
I get vertigo if I step on a rug... The dogs be like: Why is that hooman on the outside? Isn't they supposed to be on the inside or something? And now I will be constipated for the rest of the week... my sphincster just shut itself close and will not relax for a week or so... The thing you don't want to hear from your rigging session; "crap, we didn't bring the long ropes" Another thing you don't want to hear; "did anywone put an arm and a leg in here?"
i feel like the softener for the rope could stand to be a little longer/wider just cause ya know... variables. also, i bet dogs and cats cannot believe what they're indeed seeing when you stroll past their windows.
Choke hitch on a sling reduces swl by 20% not 50%, double it over increases swl by double eg 1t =2t. I worked with rope access on oil rigs (dope on a rope) as we call them 😂 anyway fantastic work. Also a good tip is to wear thin gloves when fitting because them lvl 5 impact gloves is like wearing oven gloves when fitting screws ect.
@@GrasscutterTV I also use thicker gloves and still cutting the fingers of. I’m a tower climber so different strokes for different folks but cut gloves are what I go with, thick or thin. Try it out.
@@cliveramsbotty6077 slab edge cavity barrier seems fucked, my oppinion if they are trying to compartment the floors which is standard practice nowa days, Should be Z-clips spit gunned into slab, and then rockwool SP60 cavity barrier installed nice and tight, then taped correctly.
How does one even train to do a job like this? Maan also, great thing you get to rappel all the way down, it would have been way more stressful if you had do pull yourselves back up I reckon
@@VanadiuM140291 I watched it again and it’s not a big transfer so the chance of a big pendulum is pretty low. With hindsight it’s just like a re anchor rather than a big rope to rope transfer. Costs nowt to throw an alpine butterfly in and chuck a cows tail in though if you don’t have another backup device 😅
I'd be more worried about hanging in the croll without a hand ascender above it. That is only allowed when stationary and plumb, i.e NOT mid transfer. No reason not to put it on first, you need it to change over anyway.
No surprise. We're a small company based in Australia, but starting to grow globally. Designed and built by an experienced ropie to improve gear handling at height. Let me know if interested. I have a distributor in the UK. Cheers, Lance
Knowing how cheap my boss is when needing to buy new equipment. i would never be able to trust these ropes and clips unless they were mine and i knew when they were bought.. lol
Pretty much a bad idea high rise maintenance seems the architectural design is lacking thought really...cladding was a disaster and this work? Maybe revolving frames might work 🤔
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti He’s nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready I do radio antenna work, and quite a lot of it in London. I don't go over the edge like you absolute mad-lads though! Was this a "good parking" site or was it one of the snooty places that claims they don't even have a loading bay, and then when you get there, they have enough internal parking to run a truckstop?
Hi thanks for the comment. Rope access is very cost effective compared to scaffolding as for the danger it’s not that bad, we are all trained to do this
