Hey Gang, I know we're all going through alot, on top of it all im losing my mother whos my only parent. Im in my twenties and im scared to live alone without her. hearing that guy talk about being a year sober and then theo being so proud of him is really pushing me to start taking care of myself and do the same. lost my brother and my friend to suicide and recently had a messy break up with my girl of 4 years after she left me for another guy. really hard time for me to try and be sober right now but i gotta try it.

Theo, your podcast hit home tonight with me more than ever, I'm a 2 year sober veteran of the demons that some of us have to face- and I really fucked up these past couple days.. Broke my streak of sobriety with all of the chaos, anxiety, and true restlessness that has been this earth for the past few months. I let it get to me, and let myself get out of hand. Let myself and others down. And most importantly, didn't have my health (both mind and body) as my priority. I felt like drifting into numbness was the best way to cope, and like time after time in the past- it wasn't. I was planning on this evening being my farewells to the drug world (which I had thought was two years ago) and get back on the sobriety horse (had to wean myself off over a couple days to make sure I wouldn't have a seizure or nothin with the sizeable amounts that I was putting in my body), and this podcast just set me up for success over the next days, months, and years. It was going to happen regardless, but hearing you speak on such a close topic like this (to the both/all of us) has really put my mind in the spot it needs to be in to get back on the bandwagon of progress. I've got love for you and every other person on this earth hurting from this alcoholism/addiction/mistreatment of our minds and bodies. I want yall to know that there's always got to be a start and an end, and for you to choose that it be a happy ending always makes the best "stories". There's help for anyone that doesn't feel they can do it on their own. Godspeed. Sorry for the typos, run on sentences, etc- pretty choked up to be honest. Just disappointed with myself but I know that in a few days time once Withdrawals have passed, I'll be brushing myself off and jumping back into the good hands of sobriety. *Love yourself, and the ones you interact with- you never know what a stranger is going through and how a simple act can change the projection of their life.* P.S.
