Hello friends and fellow working mom warriors! Today I'm sharing a working mom day in the life with my 2 year old. My two toddlers go to daycare full-time but my 2 year old daughter just had surgery so she stayed home with me and my husband for the week. I share my thoughts on working from home while also caring for children, from the perspective of a daycare mom. I also just got back from a trip, so I'm resetting and getting back into my routine. I work from home full time and I have two under two. I am blessed to have a sitter that comes to our home but it’s still a lot to have them at home while I am working and making calls. Glad Quinn is doing great!

Thank you! I totally get it…even though someone’s watching the kids, it’s hard not to want to be with them and they’re probably looking for you/want you too which could be distracting! Glad you’re making it work! 💕💕

So glad Quinn’s surgery went well! My kids are home in the summer while I’m working from home but they are 9 and 14 so they are pretty self sufficient. That still doesn’t stop them from coming into my office for no reason lol. I love that I am home though and not missing as much as I would be if I were commuting and working in an office.

Very encouraging! I'm a full-time working mom and taking care of my 8 month old daughter with my husband and mother in law who are also working full-time. I thought it was impossible first and still I find it's very difficult. But you did it and you're still doing fantastic! I hope it'll be me in a few years! Thank you!

Quinn is such a sport. When you said ear drops are no big deal it gave me perspective. When we did ear drops after the surgery, my son screamed bloody murder until we bribed him with gummys

The night after she had her surgery she started to cry and said it hurt when we did the drops but the next day she said it was all better so maybe it strings or something?!

I have so much respect for you for putting your babies in daycare while you work, I feel like trying to work from home with kids is only giving 50% to each and kind of a have your cake and eat it too situation. I’m sure it’s hard some days but they’re lucky to have an awesome mom to look up to!

As a fellow wfh mom of 2 (5 & 3 yo), there is no way I could work from home (accountant) with my two boys! Thankfully, they are here with me until the oldest starts school in a couple of weeks but so is my sister as our nanny and they can go in their room when I have meetings so I don’t hear all of the noise.

Hi Amanda. I am with you!! I have a fulltime job away from home. My son is in daycare until 17:00. The traffic is bad, and takes me an hour and a half to get home in the afternoon. I prefer to work away, but waste alot of time in traffic. Then comes all the cleaning. I have suffered with severe depression, and cleaning helped me so much!! As a new youtuber my wish is just to help someone as well. ❤❤❤

Thanks for this video. FTM here and I am a consultant but PM on most of my projects which is a lot of meetings and responsibilities, my husband is a business owner. Our baby girl 6M and has been home with us and both of our work was suffering, she started daycare TODAY...such a bittersweet day..I'm emo but know it had to happen.

It is definitely hard to work from home with kiddos at home! Mine are 8 and 9 and home for the summer. I am so grateful to be able to work from home and to have them home for their summer break. Love spending time with them at home like this. However- it is so challenging too! Mine are both go go go and when they bug each other, it makes me nuts lol I try so hard to balance everything! Hubby works out of the home so it is just me and them lol School starts soon though and I know I will miss them so much!

You look great Amanda nice and brown.We had to stock up on Sriracha as well. We still have many. Sorry I can’t send you some I’m like 3.5 hrs flying. Nope lol. My neighbours granddaughter just had the same surgery on Monday the 17th maybe the same day she is 20 months. It went very well.

Thank you!! I don’t follow a specific workout routine, but i have all my favorites linked in the description box of all my videos and I cycle through them based on how im feeling! Quinn is Pete’s twin, Chase is yours (actually a great blend of you both!) That blue dress was giving Disney Princess. Tell Pete he did great and not to be so hard on himself. They genuinely make the pajamas weird. I love the snug fit but once you wash them a few times they’re super fitted and you have to size up like 3 sizes. Having the same issues with our 6 year old. I have to get him a size 8 but in regular clothes he’s a 6! It’s super frustrating for sure but the kids don’t mind as long as they have something on them they enjoy. Try Shein or Temu? I just bought our son’s from Shein. Save travels and speedy recovery for your sweet baby! Y’all have a great week! 🫶🏾❣️

Kids clothes are so tough and then they grow out of them quickly! 😅 I never even thought to try to SHEIN or TEMU for kids clothes-thanks for the suggestion! Last three years mine have been home while I work. Girl, took me a minute to get a flow and used to it. Eighteen of the years I've been with my company 14 of those years I've worked from home. They were here somewhat as infants and toddlers so that helped a tiny bit. 😂 I love Siracha. These dang "shortages" put some major dampers on things let alone high prices. Ugh! That dress is cute.

Pete's rant made me lol. All husband's everywhere 😂 my husband is always like I'll do whatever just don't make go into a store 😂😂. Our daycare in Colorado wouldn't take kids until they walked 😮 I worked for 11 month with my 2nd it was awful 😂. My first didn't walk until 13 months, we had her walking at 11 😂. I don't recommend it. They're all older now and my husband works evenings so I can work early during the summer and it's still awful 😂

Any tips on getting your kiddo to sleep in longer? My 15 month is up by 6am, somwtimes still waking at 430 as well😅 we're so tired, ahha! 7am+ would be much more manageable

Ahhh man that’s a tough one! I feel like kids are all so different. I sleep trained mine at 4 months old which might have helped but maybe putting yours down at a later bedtime might help them sleep later in the morning? Good luck, I know how tough sleep deprivation is!! 🤪
