@@thehandymanexperience226every time I do a project in my house it ends up being a hassle . I call my house the house of horror because of it. Nothing square, level or plumb. It took me over five hours to get the sink installed during the kitchen remodel. Everything that could go wrong, did.
Man I feel your pain... I have replaced many sinks in my day and have ran into all of these problems plus with all the new fangled sinks and composites they can be a real pain in the ass. I have found when you are trying to get the snap ring on the garbage disposal if you do it with the sink installed then set the old disposal in the sink on top of the collar the weight helps hold it in place it's so much easier.
This is what happens about 70/80 percent of the time. Nothing is the same unless you put in the same sink. And now I'm buying a thin wall tubing cutter because that looks slick.
Double bowl sink drains are rarely simple whenever I have to configure drains on a new one. That’s why I became an electrician. 😁 The finished new sink looks very nice. But what’s with the big red dots?
Lol 🤣 I used it a little bit lol I cut it out but it was a bit tricky lol it either fits or it don't fit and there is always adjustments 😂 give me a break plus if I do see me using it I would be using my key chain one which it gonna make fun of me for. (Life saver just saying) ever since I got it I barley use my real tape measure 😂
Usually when I try to shut off the water under the sink it never works! The shut offs never get cycled! I’m surprised that they work for you! Handyman Dave!
Yep it's a cheap socket saver prob around $15 bucks or cheaper 🤔 it's a must have! Or I can't remember it could be the ryobi reamer I used to file the kitchen sink down lol 😆
holy at those dinosaur supply lines, which are known to fail spectacularly. guess the previous fools wanted a flood insurance claim against them(if they have any) 🤣 cover your hind quarters, always new supply lines when you touch them, even if leaving the old faucet, touch it and you own it now days(legally). it's progressed to the point of stupidity really
You say rubber washer on top - does it not go on the top of the sink under the fawcet to stop it slipping and making a good water tight seal - then the metal washer underneath and tighten the collar onto it. With the rubber washer uderneath water can get around the fawcet and sit between the rubber washer and metal washer and rust it .??? Just a thought.
That was painful, I don't really care for those slide-ons, then tighten facets, can never seem to get them tight enough to the sink. Someone always has a better idea. I believe you could have just cut the tailpipe between the disposal and drain on the garbage disposal bide
The glacier bay makes a good hand tight faucet it's hard to believe but it's awesome for rentals since they r so cheap and easy to install. Than I ran into this one lol don't get scared off cus of this one bro lol.
Yeah in that new faucet it's supposed to turn left and right it's not supposed to be just straight down by the way you're also supposed to be able to turn it left and right not just have to use the knob pull out you know the spicket
I've seen those things before they're not supposed to have silicone they're supposed to have urethane to seal the pan. This was just a bad...bad install.
Yea the home owner that installed it should have put that down and sealed it properly. Lol 😆 we're all over here in the Midwest like what kinda crap is this lol 😆
I always make a mess...but, oddly enough, I always clean up well AND start off very, VERY organized! It's that "in between" stage that gets away from me! 😂 Great job, dude! And, so you know...I, along with many others (I'm sure), appreciate the strive to document "struggle!" It's the real thing to do, eh? ...blessings
