Agreed. I've just been around the old Lincoln gasoline flat head welders years ago and never around those tractors, except for a D-2. Then it was 4's and on up. Those tractors had to be in good shape or you would've worn the crankers down to nubs! GOOD Job!
And the 2's and 4's, the graders, pans and all the power units back then. You wanted to crank a Cat you had a pony motor to deal with. Some with a cranker and some with a rope start. Those were the days.
