I own a 1973 stingray and I have been all thew my doors new door locks,new door handles. The one thing in your video i noticed was you have the rod that comes down from your outside door lock is in backwards. Try unclipping it and putting it in from the front side,it is a lot harder to put the clip back on. The way you have it in there causes it to bind up.

I've been in my 1969 Corvette doors (they have power windows) multiple times. One thing I discovered was that it's a lot easier working on the locking mechanism/door handle by reaching my arm up through the power window motor access hole. I'm nearly 6'-2" tall so my arms are not that long. However, I was able to install all the clips and the two door handle nuts just be reaching up through the hole. Of course, the work can be done coming in through the side the way you were doing but for me, it was more difficult, not to mention the pivot piece that opens the door was cutting the back of my hand. Anyway, you have an incredibly beautiful car and I enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing. My car is a highly optioned big block with the original drive train, so I'm very limited on doing any resto mod work. However, I can still appreciate the creativity and passion people have in modifying their vintage cars.

Thank you for the kind words. Ya, I'm also 6'2" and I was lucky my hands could fit through that hole. It worked out in the long run so all is good.

I own a 1973 stingray, green with the Baldwin Motion white stripe. I have been all threw the doors fixing my power windows, new locks,new handles. The one thing I noticed in your video was the rod that comes down from the door lock is on the wrong side I know it is easier the way you have it to put the clip that holes it in place. But the way you have it causes it to bind up. As you look inside the door just turn that rod around and come in from the front side and the put the clip on the back side. I know it sucks getting the clip on.
