Instead of a dowel, use a 1/2 inch diameter piece of pvc pipe. Pro tip….Use end caps on the pipe, will totally look like a designer blackout curtain. Not that you guys need pro tips …. After all… you built Clementine!!😎
If the blackout curtains/blinds had been fitted on the outside of the net curtains , not underneath, it is easier to roll them up. A future mod. Blackout roller blinds can be purchased in various sizes and can be cut down to fit if a smaller size is required.
Hey, Eric and Alison, hydrogen peroxide and a box of Q-tips can take out stains. Dip a Q-tip in peroxide and gently dab. As the Q-tip absorbs the stain, pitch it and repeat the process until the stain is gone. Also, so nice to see Matt again!
Rv looks really good. My question would be, since you changed the engine, is it a big difference, and do you find it has enough power for hills, and highway cruising ?
Eric & Alison. Clementine is absolutely adorable. You both done fantastic work on her to make it a perfect RV Home Have a Brilliant Road trip in her enjoy all your hard hard work .🥰
Have you considered putting some GoPro mounts (at some interesting angles) on the outside of the RV and just clipping a GoPro into it during the drive?
I love where life goes. My husband and I were living in an RV when you were world traveling. I am sure you will have plenty of stories to tell by the end of this experience 😉
I friggin' LOVE those picture hanging strips! The artwork is super cute, too. It's all looking so great - you guys should be really proud. We got a great tip from This Old House - if you have a wood frame and the screw actually strips out (not the issue here but if you need it eventually), fill the hole with a boatload of toothpicks and wood glue, let it set, saw off whatever is hanging out, then sand it down and it's like fresh wood. We used it on some door hinges and it works great. Have so much fun with Matt! So cool your friends can meet up with you.
My kids are 12 and 14 and I still buy Dreft stain remover and baby wipes for clean up. What about magnets for the black out curtains? Love your music choices ❤️
You did such a wonderful job remodeling/repairing this vintage RV! You understand it inside out so it's not likely to strand you anywhere! No wonder you have an audience at the parking lot. RV looks like new!
Classy work on the RV decoration... 👍🏾 For future reference Home depot can make straight cuts on wood or other materials for you, so if your previously custom cut wood breaks and you are on the road and wantsa new one in that custom size, you can ask at Home Depot to make the cut for you, normally the machine seats at the lumber area at the back of the store. Straight cuts only as far as I know, but all kinds of sizes , trim pieces, planks, boards...
Just a thought but you all might consider a collapsible table for future projects that may pop up so you can take your work outside and keep Clementine clean.
Matt!! Yeah! I love when y’all get to include Matt. In your videos. It looks like a fun trip so far. Love y’all’s videos. Can’t wait to see the next video. 💜😊
if you sprinkle baking soda on the superglue its sets instantaneously. Also good for creating sort of an instant filler for holes. great video thanks for taking the time to upload.
We’ve been watching your channel for a few years. Love your style and just being yourselves. Just started watching from the beginning, which we’ve never done. Cheers 🍺
Clementine looks so good, love what y'all have done. ATV riding looked like so much fun! Glad to see you enjoying our home state and Hot Springs is one if our favorite places.
Honestly, you guys have done such a good job with Clementine! I started watching waay back when you both went to some Highland Games in the town I grew up in and when COVID hit I was like, oh no what will youse do! But youse have knocked it out the park with the RV 🎉
You both have worked so hard and have been dealing with so much stress this past year it was good to see you finally have REAL FUN! When you finished your OFf Roading it shows some of the stress melting off your face and you seemed really happy. I bet with a few days and weeks with Clementine things will get better and better. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Because you have the curtains behind another rod (this is temporary, until you get the leather) and if you spend much time in the RV during the daylight hours (rain, sleet, snow, fatigue, injuries) you need some sun. This will take 5 minutes to do when you want them open, get some 1/2in ribbon/rope/kumihimo in a 5 foot length for the long window. Cut 5 (five) one foot pieces of ribbon/rope…. Now, lift your blackout curtain over the rod of the lighter curtains on that windows. Now, grab the bottom of the middle of the curtain and draw the length of the center up to the rod. Take 1 inch of rope and put it around the center of the curtain and the rod and tie it up. Use a knot like you are tying your shoes, so that it will stay in place but is easy to untie. Now, go to one end of the curtain (or both of you do this together and each pick an end) and gather the fabric about 3-5in from the very end and gather the entire length up to the rod. Using a 1 foot piece of rope for each end, tie the rope around the fabric you have gathered, just as you did in the center. Now on each side of the center, pick the spot halfway between the center and the end ties . Gather the fabric from that spot straight up to the rod. Using the last of the ribbon/rope, tie the fabric on each side to the rod, exactly as you did with the center and the ends. You are not done, yet. Step back from the curtains and look at the window and curtains as a whole. Are the curtains open enough to give you most of the sun coming in the window? If not, add 4 more strips and tie up the spots between the ties already in place. I will be surprised if that step is necessary but you want the sun when you are not dressing/sleeping/need privacy/have a Peeping Tom. Now, look at the fabric at both ends of the curtain. Is the end fabric draping nicely down 3 or 5in? If not, slide the end ropes in 2-4 in. If everything looks good, this is how you open the curtains each day until you mount the leather that will hold them up to the wall. It will, of course, get easier in time. It will also show you where to place your leather pieces.
Being a quilter, I learned that your own spit will take out your own blood on fabric, but it won't work on someone else's blood. Try it next time it totally works. Other than that I love what you both are doing. Enjoy it.
for blood stains use hydrogen peroxide guys! the stain usually comes right off otherwise, for more dried stuff, you can use that and grandma's stain remover ... you can get it at the local walmart and it does wonders... cause grandma knows better
I so enjoyed your off the road fun. It brought back memories of my first off the road fun. By the time we got back to our RV I was completely cover in mud. The only clean spot...was under my glasses. Thanks and enjoy your time on the road. ❄☃️
Get a small dowel. Drill a hole in each end of the bigger dowels, put some glue on the smaller dowel, insert small dowel into bigger dowels and tape together till glue is dry. Bingo, big dowel.
Hey you two! I live in Italy with my husband, but we are from Venezuela and because of the unfortunately situation of our beautiful country we scape 8 year ago and we haven't been able to go back, but this is another story.... We started following you because of clementine 😊... I just wanted to say that blood strains goes off with hydrogen peroxide and one tip is never never use hot water... Maybe you won't see these message.. but 9 give it a shot.. Stay safe!
Oh, y'all are so much fun! The ATV adventure at the end looked like a blast! We are no strangers to working on things in the Home Depot parking lot lol. Safe travels! -Ben and Ang
I live about 40 minutes East of the RV park near the town of Benton! We love your channel! 🙂I know you have to be safe in terms of meeting your fans but would be cool to meet you guys and see Clementine!
Haha, my wife and I stayed at that same offroad park in September for our 20th wedding anniversary. We went there to take our Jeep on some real off road trails. It was a great place to stay and the people there are awesome.
Love your work guys. I think you guys need thermal window covers for the cab. If you custom make them (watch RU-vid) it will help in the cold /heat. A lot of people in Australia make them for the high heat. Happy travels.
Quickly put bar soap on blood with water, then rub the material together with itself. Then put white vinegar on it. Then wash it with laundry soap. This works on most stains, like sharpie, wine, grape-juice, etc... Gotta do it quickly though. BTW I love Hot Springs, Arkansas!
Watched Kara & Nate put down foam on floor to protect from winter gear and keep feet warm. Easy to shape. Maybe stuff some in windows (winter only, won't melt.. as adds insulation and lightweight. Have fun trying new food, exploring ...one day can see electric atvs hauling things like wood for working at home even easier.
Glad to see your enjoying your RV. The RV look great you two did a great job. Home Depot and Walmart should be your sponsors. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Stay safe and have fun in your great new remodeled RV. Cheers 🍕🍕🍺🍺🧔
@@Theendlessadventure ...plus it looks really cool as the blood foams when the peroxide is applied. Light colored fabrics are no problem. Darker fabrics you should apply the peroxide onto a cloth or paper towel rather than directly onto the fabric. Perixide works on other surfaces as well. I have also used Oxy-Clean with good results, but peroxide is the old-school solution and is more fun to use 😂
Wash the curtains with peroxide! I promise you it will come right out. I'm an athletic trainer and have to get blood off jerseys in seconds. It works like a charm.
Hey guys. When I bought my place I swore to only use those 3m strips to hold stuff, hoping for no new holes. My experience with them is they are terrible. Make sure anything you got hanging on them can take a sudden drop to the floor.
I have a HUGE helpful hint for you --- treat those curtains (both sides) between the cab and "house" with some kind of "Scotchguard" spray. You will be able to wipe off any dirt or spills easily. I treated my chair cushions in my kitchen nook 15 years ago when I moved into my house and just recently resprayed them --- they didn't really need them tho, a damp rag or a little scrub with the scrubby side of a kitchen sponge will still clean pretty much everything off. My husband eats, especially when he's really hungry, like a drunk badger crossed with a two-year-old child ... this tip has saved me a ton of work. It DOES stink for a while, so you may want to rig up a temporary sub while you air them out ...
We NEED to see you guys meet up with Karan and Nate, now that you are both full time Road traveling! Congrats that you’re finally on the road. I’m excited for you. Did you guys get new front seats? Or reupholster? I can’t remember anymore.
They got a viewer / fan to custom build captains chairs with double arm-rests, including the newest TEA RV logo design. The chairs are in a red stone colour that matches the theme of the interior. They were showcased in a eps about 2-3 ago.
Guys I totally get it’s not normally your vibe, but Disneyland have an RV park! Can you please just chill with Clementine for a week and get your Disney on?! Ps- I have your Clementine Tee here in England - representin’ 🍊👌🏻
New camera? Was like being tossed around in a boat watching this vid. So glad you guys are on the road and beginning the journey! So excited to see the adventures unfold!
