Very well done! I've worked with hundreds of justice-involved clients. This clinician is right on target....listen to her!

Using a strenghts-based lens is so important - finding something key that you like about some clients can be challenging, but I found that doing so can be very helpful with clients that escalate and test boundaries in session.

Don't feel bad anymore. You have own your feelings and that is such a great start to any healing process. Continue to own your feeling whether good or bad, identify your triggers and just move forwarded positively.

I wish there was a social worker that could break through to my 12yr old she is oppositial has a intellectual disability and adhd..shes extremely defiant and reluctant to do any services..😢 But i can see what your saying in a child welfare setting... Conscious discipline i forgot about that..its great thank you for reminding me of brain states
