In this video, I am reviewing my favorite workout app for Apple Watch !
WorkOutDoors is the only Apple Watch workout app showing fully functional vector maps. It is also the most configurable workout app, with many screen layouts and more than 600 metrics. It is the perfect app for any type of outdoor workout: such as running, hiking, cycling, swimming, and many more. This app is so good that sometimes I'm using it also for navigation on my Apple Watch since native Apple Maps sucks on WatchOS because of the lack of details and offline mode.

Nice review, but too much emphasis on the use of maps. In many workout situations this is not that relevant. I’m more interested in how the app helps to optimize my workout, for example by programming intervals. And in that case most of all signaling the end of an interval phase (which apple workout doesn’t do, and that’s a serious flaw because now you need to constantly look at your watch to see the end of a phase).

GOOD, but I would pay extra for Updating the screen when inactive requires Apple's latest coding language (known as SwiftUI). PUSH for it!

Is it possible to upload GPX file and follow the route?

Yes, on the iPhone select the GPX route in a Mail message or in Safari. Tap Export or Share and select WorkOutDoors from the list of apps that accept GPX files. The route should appear in the Routes tab on the iPhone. Tap "Send to Watch". On the watch touch the screen for a second and select "Settings". Select "Routes" and tap the route you require. This route will then be drawn on the map. Note that the map does not move to show the route. If you cannot get the app to recognise a GPX file then please check that it is actually a GPX file. Some users download files from websites that have a GPX extension but are not actually GPX files. To check this please open the file in a text editor and confirm that the first 4 characters are '
