Slipping, tripping and falling incidents account for almost 20 percent of workplace injuries in Canada and of those almost 70 percent is falls on at the same height or otherwise known as slipping or tripping. These incidents can be prevented with some simple steps. Effective workplace inspections, good housekeeping and safe work practices help to prevent these types of workplace incidents. Promoting these actions can be done through short safety toolbox talks or using a video toolbox talk.
