Workshop Update and New DIY milling machine project start

In this video I will show you the changes in my new workshop. The renovation is pretty much done. Now mainly the interior is missing and of course the milling machine and lathe. Lets talk about the milling machine. I won't move my old milling machine to the new workshop. Instead I will build a new one :) The old one will be sold when the new one is working. The new milling machine is inspired by the "Elke" project from Sebastian (End CNC) and I have only changed some minor things and beefed it up a little bit.

Here in München finding even a small place for a workshop has become a serious problem. The rent prices are totally out of any control.

I'm also from Munich. I was super lucky with that room :) A normal price for such a room in this area would have been a noticeable monthly cost factor.

Congratulations with the new shop space and nice work with the electrical work. You have a very deep voice :) which is not a bad thing, but a deep voice in a room with that much echo is a bit hard to hear you well and listen to. Take some clues from Martin's shop and put some foam to suppress the echo/reverb. Thanks. Looking forward to your new Mill build.

That will get better when there are more things in the workshop. It is a lot better already and there are still a lot of things missing. In the end every space will be utilised ;)

What kind of concrete?

It is Nanodur UHPC with the E45 mixture.

Good to see some content from you again. Is that new milling machine EG or Concrete ?

Thanks. It's UHPC from Nanodur with the E45 mixture. It can be mixed like normal concrete. So very easy to handle.

@@AlexCNCen seems good, my cnc if out of concrete and steel mostly, some 26mm alu where i needed to shave some weight. now i am only missing the counterweight system to be up and running
