The 5 grand puts it into a class most wont so easily afford, though its possible to get a new fiber laser for under 2 grand and with a larger work area. Sure it will come down in price, and maybe at that point it becomes more accessible. What causes a diode to fly up in price? The cost seems as if its made of the rarest of elements off the periodic table. Unobtainium? Be interesting to see how the diodes are made and how they could be made.

It's not 5K, nearer the 3.5 mark, it's like comparing cars, different prices - different specs. The Ultra has more features and some of us enjoy those. For me safety is key. F1 Ultra is fully enclosed to prevent accidental injuries from the invisible fiber laser light. The enclosure filters out strong blue light, and then theres the extractor too. @@RedRockingBird That's great! Sorry I love your channel but have felt lately it's very heavily biased towards clay. You have great lasers (especially if you have the F1 Ultra) and it would be great to see more from someone as creative as you. Being a bloke my projects are a bit 'practical' and I need inspiration.

@@pauld7827 practical projects are great so 👍 but yes I am playing around a lot more with my lasers again now. I had my clay fans wanting more clay videos as they felt there weren’t enough…I somehow need to find a happy medium producing both along with a few other creative projects in between. I love any kind of creative project so I get swayed back and forth very easily. Hoping to get the F1 ultra soon so 🤞 I really appreciate you reaching out to let me know you like these videos, I’m very confident with my clay content but feel slightly more intimidated for some reason about the laser side, which is daft as my background is furniture and product design, so thank you

Seeing as you are running a business, you might want to look into getting a used laser that can do the same results. I've seen used ones sold online for hundreds rather than thousands of dollars that might even have low hours of use. I would want to know how many hours they ran though, that might be something less advertised and the seller might withhold that data for a reason, but not all sellers would give you bogus data on things they want to turn into quick cash.

Hi, it’s not a service I offer, but I’m sure others will, and as true tech mentioned you would be better off picking a second hand one up, that would be more cost effective in the long run, thanks
