Oh no! I remember unboxing the A1. Maarten cut me with it by pulling it out of the sheath the very first time. Followed by me hitting my f1 on Tiles, followed by maarten cutting himself stopping the knife with his fingerbone. We’ve come a long way since then!

Regardless Esee is still hands down my favorite knife company. I own many of their blades and love each and every one of them. Currently don't have any in s35vn but hopefully one day I will.

@@hillbillyfromtheswamp6223 Thanks for highlighting ESSE. Just went to their website and looking at some of their scandi knives. Yes, Tops is pricey but it's very high quality. I have four blades from them and all are heirloom level knives that will last forever. I'm not a fan of their folders though, for that Spyderco is my go-to.

Facts. I’m so tired of seeing Taylor Martin or Metal Complex trying to give reviews when they literally don’t use their knives. They have knives they call “safe queens “ 😂. And their excuse for not using their knives is “use the right tool for the right job “ which in their mind a knife is only supposed to be used to cut tape 😂

I wish they would release an ESEE-4 in MagnaCut or CPM-3V. It's like Rowen insists on not giving the fans what they want, always being behind on steel. I still use my ESEE-4 in 1095 (3D handle) and it's fine for camping, but it's annoying to know I will never have premium steel on a knife shape and handle shape I love.

So now they need to make the handle a little longer and get rid of that ridiculous choil! They can leave a small sharpening choil, but that´s it. I hate finger-choils almost as much as big ricasso´s. They are a waste of edge.

Dumb question but could you theoretically sharpen an ak bayonet and destroy it the way you guys test normal knives ? I know it would be impractical but I think it would be fun to watch! Other than that great channel and I've loved it for years and will for many more to come thanks guys!!

You can open metal ammo cases with an AK-47 bayonet. Supposedly you can cut through barbed wire with it too.

I own the ESEE 6p and the 3p. Both knives are great once you touch up the edge. I have them tricked out with new handle scales, sheaths and fire steels and a molle backers all from The knife connection. Big shout out to the team at TKC!🍻

For the price tag these get in Europe you should not be required to buy ANYTHING extra. Having to replace your stupid expensive knife's handle is a no go in my book. I'll just buy a super expensive knife with a good handle. Wow.

The Xancudo S35V fixed blade with a hole in the handle is a one and done all-rounder be it bushcraft, skinning, climbing, or kayaking - the hole on the handle is amazingly handy for all sorts of outdoor extreme sports.

Hey guys , I decided to buy a Condor after many years of not buying from them. I bought the Trivitatta Puukko....I reviewed it on my little channel if ya want to see it . I think it's a knife that should be reviewed by you guys. It has an awesome handle and geometry and it's 1095hc . It seems to hold a good edge or typical for 1095hc. I basically feel like it's the design that you guys will really like ....So comfy in hand I love it. The sheath is kinda cool also ...anyways guys . Awesome vid as usual , love the musical Martin 🤣

I’ve had a 1095 version for 10 years or so. It’s performed phenomenally, but I do want one I s35vn. I wish they’d run some magnacut version. I’m not sold on the Sencillo.

1. The price on Lamnia is 245.xx; so 206.- isn't right after 2 days . 2. What is the definitive blade length, aka the cutting edge length of a 4? 3. And of a #3? Because of mod.3 would be a better EDC/ and so a BC knife?! ..they said s35vn is no longer in production, and the successor s45vn isn't as good as well; it isn't really an upgrade. It's about the production, not bout the quality. So if you would have one of the 'supersteels' an ESEE is worth? Any other knifes that are good? 4. What is the meaning of 'the last DBK Bushcrafter? Are they not longer in Production? Is it not a lifelong deal? Oh, i stumbled this week abouve Harry Mack, and i thought if they do a hell of a rap with you and your company, this would be a great deal, fun and advertising. (y)

Ability of a knife to scape sparks from a firesteel is of minimal consideration, at best. If you have a firesteel, you ought to also have a dedicated scraper to go along with it, most likely on a cord attached to the handle of the firesteel itself. If you're in a true emergency and NEED to use a firesteel to stay alive, using the blade of the knife to start a fire to survive is not going to be a measured concern.

Why did you use an ESEE 6 for the pan and bone chopping, but used the old 4 for the rope cutting? If this is the 4 that you gave a bad review on a long time ago, I think it's safe to say that 4 is a lemon. If the 6 had no damage from a pan and bone, but the 4 was damaged from one rope cut, what else could it be?

Mine got a tip chip the first time I washed it. Slid into the sink and hit the ceramic lip :(. Nothing 2 minutes on a whetstone couldn't fix, and I re-profiled the tip so it wouldn't happen again.

It's stainless, stainless doesn't throw sparks well because of the high chromium content. Carbon steels react better to reffro rods because of the high Carbon content.

1095 is tougher so yeah, also depends on blade length and thickness and grind of your knives. Maybe an esee 5 or 6 for batoning, 4 should be able to do it too but to a lesser extent. Hell a knife with a saber grind (or high saber grind if you want a bit more slice) should work better for batoning, than the flat grind that esee has. 👍

Im just saying they don’t deserve any money they act like because they have no products their products are rare and worth a lot, steel is steel but they act like they made their shit w mammoth tusk. All I’m saying is companies that actually make things do just as good if not a much better job, who are you trusting? The company that successfully produces and sells thousands of knives or some guy w a website that’s made 4 knives over the past 8 years that wants to charge you 5x the price for the rarety of having one of his pieces like he means anything to me 🤣

The handle on the Esee 4 is way to short for a normal human beings hand. I just bought one and ended up goiving it away due to this fatal flaw. Fix the handle length, then we can talk about S35VN.

The knife connection makes extended scales for the Esee 3/4. I have xl sized hands and the aftermarket scales make my Esee 3 quite nice to hold.

Not a fan of their 3D grips. TKC grips are great if you have large hands. My opinion is the 1095 is a better value than the more brittle S35V…

Not sure where the myth of a V edge is bad for carving came from. A scandi is a big V edge and suppose to be great for carving. A thin V edge can excel at carving.
