Yes, the combinations were incredibly complex, but beautifully performed by the dancers who are such wonderful representatives of their School and Company.

I just finished watching the National Ballet of Japan class - it was weird hearing French positions followed by instructions in Japanese.

I agree. Quite frustrating to miss barre work from some highly talented dancers in the distance (Camille Bon, Francesco Mura...)

Another suggestion about the recording itself...this viewer wonders whether the videographer might wish to consider inviting a dancer or, even better, the instructor himself to collaborate, and be open to a few pointers that might enhance the recording. At times, for me, the editing choices denied the opportunity to more fully understand these novel movement sequences. The instructor's directions, his flow of words, are to be translated by the dancers into a flow of movement. And when the camera is allowed to capture an entire movement sequence (especially the initial execution,) this allows the viewer the opportunity to begin to grasp how these complex combinations are accomplished (by dancers with such advanced, such beautiful technique. I felt somewhat subject to more than a few irrational edits; just as a new movement sequence was unfolding (useful medium whole body shot) capturing 1-2 dancers) to focus on) the movement flow was suddenly truncated - reducing the viewer's (potential) comprehension. Why interrupt the viewer's evolving comprehension of the whole body in motion suddenly interrupted by suddenly cutting to a CU of the instructor, from the waist up. An since a fully frontal view was not available, the side angle can't fully reveal the beautifully graded changes of spatial orientation of trunk/limbs - living 3-dimensional expression space. With such a large class of dancers in the large studio, the wide angle did not clarify movement - it just reminded us that this is a large company of Great French Dancers working with devotion for an Excellent charismatic teacher.
