I don't know how I missed this live (especially since I live next door in Raven Street). But I did see the broadcast of the Australian Ballet. The one thing I miss, wit the new Thomas Dixon Centre construction finished, is not being able to her the piano as you practice through my window,.
As a non dancer, this was really fun to watch. How the dancers can remember a onetime example, unless it was repeated over time. The heaviest guy really off. they are all human and it was delightful to see the individuals exercising.
Interesting class with some complex combinations served up by Mr Li. I think I would have liked to see more relaxed facial expressions and smiles please.
Just started to enjoy Ballet and i have to say it's taking my breath away, I really enjoy on watching you guys dance so harmonusly that you bring this activity to anoher level of enjoyment...God Bless you all....
I am Japanese shitty jazz dancer who also does ballet for training and I love Neneka Yoshida san since she is actually Japanese what I know so far (sorry I thought she must be another country's person) I kinda master their Plie process lol
Wonderful to see this great company of dancers. But really? Only ONE camera??? How better it would be to have closer shots of these excellent dancers at work. Better coverage next year please!
Lovely advanced class by Mr Li. As one of my teachers used to say with a grin, "No tricks, no treats!", meaning "just down to brass tacks". Love the pianist's choices, they were very nice for a satisfying class.
