Here's a chiptune arrangement of World Bowser from Super Mario 3D World!
I forgot how much I like this game's OST with its big band-inspired sound. Now that I've been playing through 3D World for the first time, I'm really starting to appreciate the music even more.

As far as I'm concerned this Bowser theme is Bowser incarnate. I really think should be Bowser's leitmotif. Orchestrate it for threatening scenes, make it goofy for others, play up the jazz when he's angry or whatever, but this song just screams Bowser to me.

instead of that metal/rock they keep trying to go for, that while in theory might scream "rough and tough tyrant boss", never is executed well I think. There's only a few Bowser themes I like and half of them arent even "Bowser themes" per se as much as they are preludes to him

Hell, look at ANY of Daisuke Ishiwatari's works, Guilty Gear, Blazblue, Hard Corps: Uprising, those are fantastic rock and metal soundtracks. Imagine if he made a Bowser theme, but that was the only song he worked on, kinda like Toby Fox with Pokemon Sword and Shield's Battle Tower.

They make a new Bowser theme with each major installment as there is a unique identity each game tries to exude for him without altering the man himself too much. Honestly like it that way, as there's always the potentiality for new bangers rather than having old ones overstay their welcome. And also, when one theme is forgettable (like Sunshine's bowser fight music for instance), at least you know there's gonna be another one
