He is not homeless. He is actually one of the best in the world, despite his looks. I just googled him. Didn't believe it myself. So my advice to you - Don't judge the book by its cover. I hope you take my advice. I did a lot of meditation and now I have very little to no ego, but very high IQ so I never judge anyone. So When I see a guy that looks homeless, my 3rd eye opens and it tells me to stop judging. This is how I reached highest level of consciousness. But don't worry, my friends, I don't judge you either. You are all loved, even if you are not wake like me. Namaste
Magnus, that was excellent play and commentary. I love the logical clarity of your moves, and how you explain key issues as the game progresses. It is fascinating how you don't strive for as much space in the opening as you used to, but instead focus more on establishing dynamic means, from solidity, for future expansion with such efficient use of physical time, as well as relative time. It's beautiful to watch. Thank you.
Toying with a grandmaster, making it look easy. It’s astonishing how Magnus makes his pieces work so well together. We’re blessed to have access to such a likable and magnificent player.
Couldn’t agree more. The strongest chess player ever to have lived - and we have the privilege of watching him play and commentate his thoughts simultaneously. Blows my mind.
I was pretty blown away when Carlsen infiltrated the position with his knights in one of the games. He had one of his black knights on e1 supported by his queen and other knight mid game. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.
Supernova Great chess players can look at a position and almost instantly tell you the right move. Fischer was like that. So was Capablanca. Magnus has calculation skills like I’ve never seen. He has razor sharp openings and a cutting edge middle game that almost always gives him winning chances. Simply an amazing player 😉
i can just watch him play for free and also getting insights with his commentary. it’s an insanely great time i live in. thanks magnus, its a privilege.
@@krzysztofq7420 I feel like he knows what he's capable of and should perform like it, nothing wrong with that, give me some examples of him having a huge ego? I watch his stream and he seems fine, he never says he's the best at all nor says his opponents are not good enough... so, with that said, why do you all think this, I could be missing something
@@Alternamaton I agree with Steve. I think its easy to take for granted a grandmaster against Carlsen when in reality they are all world class players.
@@billionquestions9014 Who the hell is Zinmut Freyd? If you're referring to Sigmund Freud he had nothing to do with creating the IQ tests or the term itself. Clearly you don't believe in it because it rated you as a hairless monkey... or just as a monkey I can't really tell for I haven't seen how hairy you are.
@@Mediocacarro there is no such thing as being able to measure intelligence.....a guy everyone thinks stupid can find more success by his will to achieve then some fool thinking his iq makes him smart. i do not believe in them...and i assure you my measured iq on both scales...is far beyond yours.....and most people............ as a matter of fact...the world needs competent wal mart cashiers like you too....
Man, he just makes it look so easy. Imagine crushing GMs this consistently, especially when Pepe himself had just achieved 9 points against his previous opponent.
I heard about you as a champion but since less than 1 month at the channel of GM Barbosa i ask you about who's the best (Tal or Morphy....) I am happy to see every day Chess 24 and special i can see you in Live ... i feel that i am very lucky.I am a really simple amateur of chess but chess makes me forget the illusion of our life and makes me feel that i don't need alcool or drugs...or even feel alone in this Univers:-).My Best regards Magnus and hope you will visit Cap Verde to learn Chess to my little country one day?
@@jinwoo6005 I am 45 years now, believe me, that new generation are very lucky to have RU-vid now, back to my 15-20 years, in that time, impossible to meet someone like Magnus everyday on the screen and special in LIVE:-).Better late than never:-)
I actually thinks he says, the technique is atrocious. He is speaking about his own endgame being the perfectionist he is. He actually does that lot, that and saying he is going to plan B aka, flag him :)
Über cool Magnus enjoying his coffee. -watched the Pepe feed too... It were as if Spain had won the World Cup when Pepe flagged Magnus! Much respect to los dos.
Magnus be lookin like 1 of the models from the ‘Eternity’ cologne commercial sitting In what looks to be an ultimate bachelor pad. That view is beautiful. Well done, sir!
Qué rayos. Todo parece fácil de este lado. Pepe sufrió mucho. Y hasta ese empate fue histórico, de aquel lado la euforia estuvo al tope. Magnus sin duda es un monstruo.
The opening in the first game is a nasty surprise which I have been using online for some time now. You just exchange your ds bishop and go for stone wall structure with pawns on dark squares + playing h4. If black is unfortunate enough to have castled short it is pretty much game over in about 10 moves (but I don't need to tell you that:)
From 10.20 until the end of that game is just incredibly impressive. Sure, even I get exactly what he's doing - putting everything on dark squares so that he can make a ton of quick moves. But it's still amazingly impressive how quickly he annihilates from what seemed to be an equal position.
Magnus cracks jokes all the time. The thing about a (good) dry sense of humor is that often the joke is missed and the person who made the joke can’t really stop and explain it, because that’s lame. But that doesn’t mean the joke wasn’t funny.
Videos on this channel would benefit a lot from audio post-processing. Anytime there's a little bit of sound around, I don't hear anything anymore. Just make a preset to normalize the audio to -3db and then just run the preset on the raw audio every time. It takes just a few seconds and good quality audio makes all videos so much more enjoyable.
