yeah Im surprised they used a recording this old. Im pretty sure this was recorded in the late 1970's. Ive not heard this version played at events like this since the collapse of the USSR
Were there any Russian anthem on the opening ceremony? I expect a more powerful three verses version for an opening ceremony for one of the most important sporting events in the world. They should have also invited a choir to sing it, just like they did on 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and Paralympics opening and closing ceremonies. Anyway a great melody though.
The problem here is that there are Russians in the whole stadium. So that, the sound isn't clear. In the euros, Russians are all together on one side, so it sounds excellent and loud.
Слабо очень слабо... Ожидал больше, даже вспомнить перед ЧЕ с Англией было круче, а тут открытие ЧМ, Первый матч и так спеть... Обидно очень. Вспомнить ЧМ в Бразилии, там весь стадион пел, и пел от души и полностью гимн. А тут как будто детский сад привели и спели ели ели обидно.
А потому что Москва! В любом другом провинциальном городе, спели бы во всю глотку! А в Москве живут люди из другой галактики, потому и гимн им не родной! Думаю Питер споёт несравненно лучше! ПОЗОР МОСКВЕ! ПОЗОР "ЛУЖНИКИ"!

Зачем он мне,чтобы было слышно как из 80-и тысяч несколько сотен что-то кричат? Лучше кузьмичей вроде тебя к стадиону на пушечный выстрел не подпускать,чтобы футбол был футболом,а не сраным театром

Ah yes. Because nothing says "The Soviet Union is Gone" as much as this. Perfect. Simply Perfect. On another note, this reminds me of how my old Government teacher would always refer to the Russian Federation as the Soviet Union. He was actually a very good teacher.
