@maltheri9833 kharn is not a Daemon prince, he is khornes favourite champion but he is still a mortal, if khorne ever gets bored of him then kharn will eventually die. Angron is a Daemon prince, and he can only die from either a Daemon killing weapon or if khorne himself we're to perish.
People criticized this book for not having enough Kharn. And I could see where they were coming from at first. Then this scene happened and it was worth the wait.
the timing is uncanny. i just completed your warhammer 40k excerpt reading playlist (all in one stretch) and now i get gifted with more. glory to the imperium of men
Nope, mostly purposeful "misinterpretations" about the current state of the Imperium, like blaming Big E for the corrupt High Lords of Terra, or how worship became prevalent etc. If the dude says they like "Chaos" over the Imperium, and talks about "contemporary politics" then thats just a weirdo edge-lord. (Imagine liking a "god" of literal r***) Read almost all of the HH books and its funny, interesting, and horrible at the same time lore-wise
The whole violent episode had taken less than 30 seconds from start to finish. For a time, Kharn did not move. Finally, he lifted his head, his gaze locked onto Dregher, staring unblinking through the blood-streaked armorglass and muttered: "I hate Mondays". Hell of a guy, that Kharn.
I swear your 40K video are the best videos in your channel. The ominous soundtrack and your deep dreadful voice just get the mood of the setting, full immersion, plunging deep into the grim dark.
@@optimusvine5672I mean when your god gives in-astartes ability and protection against sorcery. Its gonna take a primarch or divine intervention from the emperor to put kharn down.
@@wb7585Yeah but he only died like 3 times. I know he regularly gets injured Petty bad, but an Astartes can manage as you. Also consider he is EXTREMELY fast, so ofc not only skill.
@@optimusvine5672 I gotcha. I know the space Marines survive crazy things and can heal from a lot. I just ment almost no veteran in current time line can kill Kharn. Azrael nearly died and he assumed he would he could take Kharn with him but even with a fatal blow like that blood god willing or not seemed like Kharn would just come back. Same time he's even blessed against pyskers as he slaughtered grey knights in that book.
I just want to point out that all this is Khârn’s natural strength and skill. This is before his own fall to Khorne, before Skalathrax, if I recall correctly. He’s not wearing his power armor. He’s fresh out of a coma, and he’s still injured. Every legionary is in full armor, armed specifically for this fight with Khârn. And make no mistake, they didn’t expect the first move to work. They’d tried to come at him with the power of numbers, but Khârn is the greatest warrior of Khorne in Warhammer, only falling just short of the Gorequeen herself. Had he been born a woman, he’d be the 40K version of her.
@@sapereaude6274 YOOOOOOOO what does he voice? (Besides the youtube videos wait that is techniclly pro voice acting since he is getting money for it)yeah I get it
Literally. The world eaters have a thing where they are only happy if they are killing, but Kharne has killed so many that he's in a constantly good mood
I’d say that there’s only one war hound left in the legion and that is Khârn. Angron is a demon that literally doesn’t know where he is or who he is 99% of the time, and the rest are roided up jackasses too high off their own hype to be effective against anything that can actually fight back
These are so fucking good, the ambient music, the voice acting, the vivid picture you paint. AHHHH, i love it so much. Cant wait for more 40k readings, thank you. ❤
Probably the greatest mortal(ish) fighter in Warhammer 40K. If GeeDub ever expand on that tiny throw away lore bit from the world eaters codex about the Khornate warsage guys, Khârn should probably be one.
Awesome job playing Doom 2016 music for this scene. I'd like to point out Cyberdemon would be awesome for any scenes dealing with Daemon engines or chaos hellbrutes.
What Kharn did here is probably a lot tamer than what Lotarra Sarrin would do to those legionnaires if she caught them doing it when she's waking up after a long night shift at that time of the month
Animating this would be funny just to get all the perspectives across as a, already huge and naked, man quickly kill 5 massive armored space marines because at some point you’ll need to do the black bar censoring of his junk as he spins and pivots around.
That deadpan delivery of “Snap.” is PERFECT. It truly captures how brutal it is to snap the wrists of a fully armoured Astartes, yet said with such non-chalantness with how normal that would be for a World Eater, let alone Kharne himself, the only one of his Chapter that Angron truly sees as worthy. Think you should do The Khan vs Morty on Prospero or Sangy vs Horus.
14:37 "The chamber was empty, the clip dry" Good on the narrator knowing that Bolt guns don't use clips, they use magazines. Hell almost all guns now use mags and not clips.
Excellent work friend. Forever hoping you voice the final stand of Hetaeron Caecaltus Dusk from the End and The Death III. "He stands. By His will alone, he stands. The neverness winds assail him. He does not bow nor bend like the vast stone column behind him. The psychic shockwaves batter him. He does not stoop or flinch. He takes a step. A second. A third. Each one is a labour against the elemental violence. He reaches his fallen spear, and picks it up. Some last spark of his king’s power crackles through it. He turns and walks, one impossible step after another, towards the fight."
AstartesAnonymous made a joke that the Butchers Nails just blasts heavy or death metal music directly to the brain. After watching this, I am fully convinced this is Canon 😂
I like how in the middle they had used up all their excuses why kharn was surviving this ordeal and just said "he got lucky", funny how thats the most realistic part of this fight. (PS the last 2 guys had a chance if chainsword guy didnt get his head blown off)
*Kharn proceeds to catch a bombardment shell, loading it into a dark age of technology device called the BFG 10,000 launching himself straight into melee range with the enemy fleet.*
One thing I don't like about action writing in general, but espetially 40k writing, is that they never really take into account the sheer order of magnitude difference between a strike with a blade and the speed of a bullet. Even normal humans, albeit highly trained, can react to the swing of a sword in time to perform a counter, but no person can react to a gunshot from close range, not even an Astartes. That makes the issue with the passage pretty basic- if these are veteran warriors they should be fully aware of this and their default responce should be to draw pistols and fire immediately, it is simply then just not possible for Khârn to counter all of them *even if* you say he can react quicker than they do in terms of drawing and pulling the trigger and *even if* he can perceive them doing so and react to it in time, he cannot and could not react quick enough to deal with multiple people shooting at the same time and once the bullets are in flight they are so much faster that it's like everything else is standing still- it's over. There are very few ways to write this kind of setup and have it be belivable imo. In the world of 40k you *can* get arround it with psychic powers and I think that's quite a 'clean' way of doing it that I find pretty convincing, you can also have people be overcome with surprise and not react correctly, but if you *specifically* point out the people are reacting correctly and there is no psychic power at play then it simply doesn't make sense to avoid the hits. Taking the hits and living though? Sure I can buy that
