The Dayanara view deck is named after Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres from Puerto Rico. She visited Banaue to film a short to be used for the Miss Universe 1994 pageant which was held in Manila, Philippines, and to promote the magnificent manmade terraced wonder. @@ChaseandShelbs its off a beaten path its not advertized for tourists to go and even Nueva Viscaya usually not on tourists radar. There is many underrated places there in Luzon and that overshadowed by Boracays, Cebu etc. I feel like there is no revenue sharing between provinces and cities and so Mindanao wealth in tourism seems to stay there and other places get left behind.
The rice terrace is still very beautiful, almost everything you can see there is culture, tradition, and civilization there, which started in the northern part of the Philippines. What you saw were two old men. I think they are the Austronesian people, the race of the first Filipinos from Taiwan.
You guys always have a surprise adventure and this is one of them. Philippines seems to have many hidden gems in terms of historical nature. This rice terrace in Banaue is one of them. I always say, you can never get enough of cardio in the Philippines. That hike was an adventure.
OH WOW, i haven't seen any vlogger go to our Rice Terraces in a while. I'm glad you went and showcased it to the world :) Do you know they're more than 2,000 years old? They're truly a world heritage. I wish though that the traditional and unique Ifugao huts are still standing. But alas, i see only modern houses which kind of takes away from the beauty of the place. But it's still spectacular, nonetheless. Btw, the Banaue Rice Terraces are recognized as the “Eighth Wonder of the World." It is said that if all the terraces were built end to end, they would be able to cover half of the world. I guess that's why Thanos chose to live there, lol. Thanks again for promoting our country :)

We had to take a special trip up north to see them! It was absolutely incredible and we are so glad we went. We went to batad and actually saw the huts! So that was awesome. And they are huge so We aren’t surprised! Thanks for watching and following along, we are glad you liked the vid 😍♥️ cheers!
Wow you've reached banaue, i must admit that is too far but the scenery is really worth it. The island of Luzon is very underrated, there are tons of places in luzon that must be uncovered. Thanks for bringing us there.

What an awesome video, guys! We had a rice farm in the province, but the rice terraces of Banaue is definitely at another level. We love the pictures, but I'm sure the pictures and videos just don't do it justice. It's one of those places that must be seen in person in order to get the full effect. Thanks for sharing, guys! Okay. I think this vlog might be my favorite one of your Philippines adventures. I mean all of the other ones were super fun and great too, like all the island hopping you all did. There's A lot of spectacular rice terraces in the Cordilleras especially in these 3 neighbors/provinces, Mt.Province, Ifugao & Kalinga & the Vibe, the landscape/scenery is quite different from the typical island/beach vibe that usually are the go to areas in the PH. But I feel like you are a bit exhausted & getting burned out, I think you guys need some break & perhaps return next time & go explore this area of the Philippines & do some hiking/adventure in the highlands, just have some dedicated time/days going to this area in the highlands, for sure its gonna be worth it & after that maybe you can go & relax in the beautiful Batanes islands👍
There sure is! 🤩💖Ahha it’s funny you say that! Chase started to not feel good and we went to sagada then back to manila. It was time for us to go and we actually did take a much needed break in vietnam! But we already can’t wait to return 🥰Batanes is high on our list!!

I'm the person or at least one of the people who recommended it to you guys to try traveling to the nothern part of country in your first impressions of manila video. If you guys ever come back to the philippines, try going to the province of batanes, considered the most beautiful province in the country.

Yes the beautiful mountains at last! We were in aw of the beautiful scenery! I’m sure you would be able to hike! Just take it very slow, accommodation is good but very basic as they don’t have access to a lot of things easily 😊

I am from the Philippines. Glad that of all the vloggers I follow you are the only one who went to banaue/ifugao and explore world heritage rice terraces. Been there myself and I saw that one of the houses you showed in this vlog of yours was the house of our friend where we stayed. We also trekked that path going to the hot and cold spring. Hope you explore more of our country with 7100 islands.

Wow im blown away by the beauty of the rice terraces. I had a video before using a green screen with the terraces as the backdrop. But you had the real thing and i feel envious.lol
It's the most beautiful place in the Philippines from what we've seen so far - I think we also went there at the best time (we visited jsut 1 week before you) when the rice was so tall and green! I'm sure it's pretty even in the earlier months, but this green 🤩
The Philippines also has Fiddleheads Fern ("Pako" in the Visayan language). Pako salad is served with tomatoes, red onions, sliced salted eggs, salt, vinegar, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil. so yummy..

We have 5 clusters, Batad, Bangaan, Mayoyao, Hungduqn, Nagacadan,Banaue is not included in Unesco World Heritage list. I am not ashamed to say our terraces are so mich more beautiful and grander than Bali,s Tegalalang and Jatiluwih. I am very proud of our heritage.
