They don’t explain this in the anime, but Pandora’s Actor, in that intro scene, did several things. 1. Sensed everyone who was coming. 2. Figured out who it was. 3. Assessed their threat level. 4. Took the form the greatest threat among the two intruders would be most unsettled by and least likely to engage properly, Albedo’s creator, and lastly prepared himself for battle. Pandora’s Actor acts likes a fool but is as intelligent as Demiurge and Albedo. He wasn’t messing around. He was preparing to Kill a floor Guardian because they’re not allowed in the vault without permission. Until his Father Ainz gave the okay, he wasn’t messing around. As an aside, Pandora knows that Ainz isn’t a genius outside game mechanics and battle, or wise and mighty overlord, and understands his creator completely. He’s just so totally and utterly loyal it doesn’t matter, he just wants to make his Creator happy.
I would like to add that he probably would have killed them both. As a greater doppelganger he can transform into all the 41 members of the guild. Making the treasury both an armory and a deathtrap.
@@darksavant3571no he couldn't. Albedo always has the world item that tabula samaragdina gave her. Plus even when he does copy someone he doesn't get 100% of there power. So he definitely couldn't easily kill albedo. But he could defeat body Yuri alpha in a strike
Yeah, Yggdrasil had very predatory microtransaction policies. Kind of the reason why one of the requirements for being in the Ainz Oooal Gown Guild is to be gainfully employed. It was all to make sure all members were able to keep up with their competition.
His "dark past" does not mean that he followed "that" ideology in any way. Just that (like surprisingly many Asians) he thought the way they dress and present themself looked cool. Like a 12 year old thinks it's edgy and cool to do a "salute" for fun. Now that he's older and knows better, he's very embarrassed of his cringe younger self that Pandoras Actor is a constant reminder of.
In his defense, Nazis WERE hella stylish and presentable. Plus WW2 Japan was allied with Nazi Germany. It’s not that I support or justify them, but one thing you can definitely say is that they has one of the best military attire.
The world Tree Ygdrasil fell .. it's roots eaten by Nidhoeggr. It's leafes scattered, hunted by the dragon. 9 of those leaves bloomed into the 9 worlds Asgard, Midgard etc ... another 300 (?) leafes survived and turned into items with the power of a whole world within .. the world items .. the 20 are world items so strong, they have a limited number they can be used.. that's the creation myth of the game Ygdrasil ^^
Hi friend, nice to see you again. This chapter must have been the hardest to animate because it introduces a lot of LORE, but I think they did a decent job. But still I will try to explain some things without falling into the spoiler. When Nabe communicates with Ainz she is seen wearing rabbit ears, this is actually a spell that many mages can use to increase hearing. Nabe uses them because she doesn't have thief or assassin skills to detect hidden enemies, so that way she can make sure no one is hiding to hear her. In the novel, Ainz also uses the spell on occasion, albeit with some embarrassment. When Ainz, disguised as Momon, hears what the Adventurer's Guild report about Shalltear, he wanted to do his best to divert attention and was about to tell them that that vampire's name was actually Carmilia, but then he remembered that This name is widely used in games or Anime for female vampires and if a player from their world heard it, they could deduce that Shalltear is someone from Ygdrassil. So, flustered and hurried, Ainz made up Honyopenyoko's name without thinking of anything specific, except that it sounded completely different from Shalltear and Carmilia. Hence the name he invented is so silly. Adventurer Igvarge was a real piece of trash. He originally wanted to become a hero, to do so he didn't mind resorting to dirty tricks like spreading false rumors about himself or using his companions as meat shields. For him all the others were mere steps for him to reach the top. However, he was a hard worker and trained intensely, which caused him to intensely dislike Momon, who seemingly appeared out of nowhere and attained his mithril class in a single adventure. In the novel, Igvarge ran away alone when Albedo set out to kill all of his team members, but he unknowingly ended up trapped by one of Mare's spells. Mare then pinned him down and killed him by crushing his skull with his staff. Yes Yggdrasil was exactly that kind of game. In the East (in todays day and age) Players are more accustomed to/more favorable towards Pay 2 Win because they see it as skipping the grind. In Yggdrasil you could do all kinds of stuff except buy Gold (the in game Money) , but you could buy Gold Boosts and stuff like that and the Horn of the Goblin General of which Enri has 2 are trash Gacha items. The Rage scene is so fucking sick imo because the suppressant couldnt supress his emotions AND we see how much destructive power (his Strength Stat) a level 100 Mage has even though his STR stat should be quite low. The treasury door was designed by Tabula Smaragdina, the creator of Albedo, who as we know loved the Gap Moe very much. But he also had others passions and one of them was Alchemy, to the point where his player name meant "Emerald Tablet" which is a very famous Greek text on the subject and was believed to contain the secret to making the Philosopher's Stone. The password that Ainz pronounces is the translation of the line that is in Latin and that is a fragment of this Tablet. Even his three creations are also based on the Emerald Tablet. And since we talked about it, I should tell you that, although in the Anime they take too many time to mention it, Albedo has two sisters. The three were named and designed as an allegory to the three processes of Alchemy: Nigredo (putrefaction), Albedo (purification) and Rubedo (reconstitution). To this day we know almost nothing about Rubedo, except that she is very powerful and hides on the eighth floor. But we do know about Nigredo, who is an NPC specialist in magic detection and in the novel she is the one who locates Shalltear. When Ainz created it he really didn't have anything in mind and just combined a bunch of things that seemed cool to him, but once put together, he found the result a bit embarrassing. His uniform is inspired by that of the Nazis, but before anyone feels offended, let's not forget that Japan and Germany were Allies during the World War II, so his view of them is not as negative as the one we have in West. Furthermore, while after the war the Westerners had to suffer the consequences of the destruction and then the Cold War, the Japanese suffered the effects of the Atomic Bombs that the US dropped on them. In Japan they value strong countries a lot, that's why they are always imitating England (which almost colonized them), the USA that defeated them in 1945 and Germany, which from their point of view is a great country of warriors that dared to face the rest of the world practically alone, twice, and almost won. Of course that is a thing of the past and the modern Japanese are not thinking of killing anyone, waging war or taking revenge on the allies. As I have already told you, they actually admire the US for having defeated them, as they admire all the strong. I'm just telling you that their view of the events in the World War is naturally different from ours. Also, it's fair to say that the Nazi uniforms looked pretty good. For all these reasons there are many young Japanese who admire, not Nazism itself, but the military power of Germany in World War II. Pandora's Actor is an Area Guardian, which means he guards a sector of a floor and not its entirety. There are many of them and some are even more powerful than some Floor Guardians. But the case of the Treasury is special, because it is separated in a different dimension and it is impossible to reach it by any direct route. The only way to get there is by wearing an Ainz Oown Gown Guild Ring. Pandora's Actor's name and theme is seemingly based off of the Greek Myth of Pandora's Box, where a single mortal woman named Pandora was gifted a box that contained all of the world's evils within by the Gods and was specifically told by them not to open it, but due to the Pandora's immense curiosity, she opened it and released all the contents into the world. This, in turn, is the basis to Pandora's Actor's role as the Area Guardian of Nazarick's Treasury, of which he is tasked with protecting the 11 World Items currently housed within that all possess the power to completely alter or possibly even destroy the world. The most significant sentence Pandora's Actor says to Ainz in the novel is: "Indubitably so, Ainz-sama! For as I was made by you, if you desire me to do battle with the other Supreme Beings, I shall charge into the fray without hesitation!" It is at this point that we confirm what I mentioned earlier: Normally NPCs will obey the orders of their creator even before those of other Supreme Beings. Now a new level of Ygdrasill's magic is revealed to us. For level 100 players the 10th tier of magic was the maximum and they had to use it carefully because it consumed a lot of MP and also some spells could consume Experience Points, which meant losing levels. This didn't matter much in the game because a player could recover Experience Points by killing monsters or doing quests, but in the New World it's not that easy. Ainz has many powers and powerful summons that he does not dare to use for fear of not being able to recover the Experience Points that they would cost. Also, there is a kind of eleventh tier of magic, which would be Super Tier Magic, however, its characteristics are different. First it doesn't consume MP, so it's more like a skill. Then there is the problem that they take a long time to cast and then any player of the party won't be able to use it again for a long time. And finally, that some of these magic consume Experience Points. In short, it would be the Special Move in a video game, that attack that takes a lot of health off the enemy if you manage to do it right, but can be easily interrupted. Wish Upon a Star is an Super tier magic that consumes Experience Points, but thanks to the Ring Ainz has he can use it about 3 times for free. In the game, he granted you some random wishes that many times could not be fulfilled and the administrator had to intervene. But in the New World there are almost no limits to what you can ask for. However, this time was unable to remove Shalltear's mind control because it was imposed by a World Class Item. World Class Items are the 200 rarest and most powerful items in the Ygdrassill game. Ainz Ooal Gown's guild has 11 in total and the next ranked guild only has 3. That gives you an idea of how rare it was to have just one of them and how powerful Ainz Ooal Gown was. World Class Items were so powerful because they could alter even game mechanics and each one had different abilities. Now I can tell you that the World Class Item that controlled Shalltear was the dress of the old lady who was killed by the spear of light and it can basically mind control someone even if they have immunity. Among the 200 World Class Items there are 20 that are considered the most powerful, but disappear after being used once (and other players might find the item). In the novel, Ainz mentions that two of the 20 are stored in the treasury, and that one of them could remove Shalltear's brainwashing effect, but he hesitates to use it because it would be lost right after. That's why they have to defeat her. The reason he went to the treasury is because the only way to be immune to the effects of a World Class Item is to hold one yourself. Ainz wants to give one to each Floor Guardian so that they are protected against them. the shooting star ring this was a really hard to get loot box gatcha sort of thing in the game and one of the nazarick guildies got one on his first try and momonga was so jealous he kept rolling till he got one and spent thousands of dollars at the end the guildy gave momonga his ring so he has 2 and since he used a whish he still has 5
The 20 world items ainz references are world items so powerful they could force changes to the world/game...Back in the game a guild used a world item to block Ainz guild from entering a mine just so that they wouldn't have to compete for resources...the one used on shalltear was called "Downfall of castle and county" which bypasses all resistance and mind controls the target They don't mention it outright but the throne Ainz sits in is also a world item
FYI, the reason he got to the meeting was because the adventurer girl that has thrown the potion at Shaltear told them that she reacted weirdly to it, then he got called as they are suspicious of that interaction but it was never explained on the anime
Ainz's chracter build is more tends to roleplay and not fight optimized but with his god level equipment he is high mid-level player level or low high-level(power wise) but shalltear is low high-level with her current equipment if she were to get a god level(i think it was called divine level not sure tho) gear she would be high high-level player level so that's why Ainz is taking her very seriously[sorry for the bad grammer]
she was also crafted SPECIFICALLY to be as hard of a counter to Ainz as possible by her creator (cuz that's what best friends do, find the most effecient way to rofl-stomp each other for fun), she resists all his strongest spells because she's undead too, she can cast holy and fire magic which are Ainz's 2 greatest weaknesses, she has her lance which essentially removes Ainz's ability to summon when he's a summoning class, she has an auto-revive item to deal with his most powerful skill TGOALID, and her skills are fine tuned to negate his attacks and strike his weaknesses
There are more world items, i think its about 120 but don't quote me on that, and the "Twenty" are the one-time use world items that have much greater effect than the other world items (for example deleting a player with the cost of also deleting the player who used the world item). A wielder of a world item will be somewhat protected from the effects of other world items like the mind-control Shalltear is currently affected from, so handing each guardian a world item would protect them. The staff of Ains Ooal Gown is said to be on par with other world items.
They were called World Items because in the Yggdrasil game they were so powerful they could affect the entire world often by breaking or even changing the rules.

Pandora's Actor is a Doppelganger as Narberal Gamma, but the difference is that Pandora's Actor is stronger and Ainz gave him a weird face, his fingers are the real appearance of a Doppelganger His personality is really weird, because Ainz gave him a personality that will not make him feel lonely or sad being alone, he likes to be surrounded by items, strong items, rare items, anything that is valuable, but that's the part of his personality Ainz doesn't feel embarrassed about 🤣 Oh yeah, World Items, there was 100?
