What a great race and track. Larson is not human but as I've said many times before, it all starts in the pits with the crew. Night after night they have this car ready to win. Hats of to J Mc. Just ran out of laps.
If you're not from the US does that phrase carry a particular meaning wherever you're from? Something akin to MVP, perhaps? (Use of "mate" & even "man of the _match"_ triggered the possibility for me & I'm always looking to learn new stuff - so no offence or anything intended) Here in the US it would be the "Hard Charger" award. At least if he improved his start position more than anyone else, anyway. At any rate, I'm of the mind that subjective awards mustn't carry the prereq of being the winner/member of the winning team.
Iceberg86300 I am an American. I had never heard “man of the match”. In my mind, the “‘Man of the Match” would be the winner , but Hard Charger makes much more sense to me. I can get on board with JMac getting the hard charger award.
@@tylerabbott8147 yeah they are brothers and the son of Gary scelzi who's a multi-time NHRA Top Fuel (AND funny car) champion, also one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet.. and man has he had some of the most spectacular crashes in drag racing and not gotten hurt! You should definitely check some of his crashes out from the 2000s, some of his funny car explosions and so on and also he didn't officially retired he just wanted to spend more time with his kids with Sprint car racing whom are extremely talented 😊😊 it's really cool that they are both running now together in the World of Outlaws! I wish I had something like that going on with my brother that would be the coolest thing ever
Not surprised we saw so many Cali drivers up front in this one. Huset is a small track a lot like Watsonville where Kyle, the Scelzis and Macedo ran a LOT of 360 and 410 laps from a very young age. Moreover, Watsonville is called "Ocean Speedway" for a good reason, and it benefits from a lot of foggy, humid air.
A lot of good racing in this one! Slide jobs everywhere!! It's just not fair to other driers when Larson runs with the Outlaws hahaha he wins anything he drives!
1st week in Sept. Kyle Larson is definitely on top of the WoO for the time being. I spent decades watching Steve Kinser and even saw him get beat a time or two, but very rarely. Kinser had the very best machine, just like Larson has today. Kinser was a big guy, a wrestler and tough. Larson has more finesse but just as talented behind the wheel. Kinser could never get a NASCAR cup win. Larson has a handful. Is it unfair to compare the two?
Having the best machine is a relationship between driver and mechanic. Everyone has access to the same technology. Larson is very talented and proves it every time he straps in.
In my lifetime, the greats, there was Jan Opperman, then Steve Kinser, and now it's clearly Kyle Larson. It was "Young Money, but since Kyle used that racist word that got him suspended from NASCAR it's now "Yung Money"
@@easttexan2933 By the way, I'm not a Schatz hater, the haters already changed his nick name to "Yung Money" after he used a racist word that got him suspended from NASCAR.
I've said it once before I'll say it again Johnny should be the only one announcing the world of outlaws Nos energy drink races. The other clown don't cut it whatsoever
@Hayden Collins so every country in the world is having an election this year? This is a noval virus. We don't know much about it still. That's why we have to take precautions. I voted for our current president. This isn't just going away.
Double file re-starts are such a bullshit gimmick. I'd rather see cars actually pass during green flag racing conditions. Instead it's all about the re-starts in WOO racing. If you're not in the preferred line, you are screwed.
