And here we see the O-I (scientific name Godzillacus Chubikus) in its natural habitat. An apex predator, the O-I is fiercely territorial and responds to intrusions to its range with deadly force. While a solitary creature, it is often followed by packs of smaller predators seeking scraps of its prey. Due to its enormous bulk, it very rarely chases down its prey, instead usually content to hunt the sick, weak, and bullheadedly stupid. Today has been hard fought, but the O-I's efforts will serve it well. It will gorge itself on the bodies of its slain rivals, and the fat this will provide will sustain it well through the winter.
Including the few tanks that actually had a chance of damaging him - like the KV-2, the SU-100, and, coincidentally, the T67, who needs to shoot quite a lot to kill an O-I, but who _can_ do it. But no, they all just piled on in a straight-up 'kill the last enemy tank' kekekekerush.
Jingles had me freaking rolling with laughter! Oh man. I laughed hard. I need a break. Thanks Jingles, Peca41 and all the sillies on the enemy team. That was so much enjoyment!
Go cap kill none is also what some prefer, and yet neither works.. Maybe go with the "use common sense" tactic.. not a lot of people know how that works. but it got an 80% success rate. :P (the other 20% is RNG)
To be fair, in a normal situation 10 enemy tanks should be able to kill a single enemy tank. But as you can see, tier IV's aren't balanced against Japanese super heavies.
My team decided it would be a good idea to chase down the last enemy tank, an FV304. As the match came to the 3 minute mark, I went to cap. Had a fair bit to traval, but 2:40 remaining I went to cap. Chat lit up like a dry christmas tree next to a blowtorch. 4 out of 8 dead teammates decided to be complete dicks about it. Suddenly, arty shell, friendly arty shell. We lost of course.
I believe it Pihip! I had a match a few days ago where it was 5v3 at the end and in stead of trying to find 2 TD's (that were capable of one-shotting me) and an IS (which was also capable of one-shotting me) I went and capped. Just as i had predicted our 2 mediums got wrecked when they assaulted an IS with TD backup head on ... yup that happened. Then that left just me and 2 arties, so i stayed in the cap circle. Just as I was about to finish capping one of the arties said "we would have won if it wasn't for you", and I was sitting there thinking we did win, and it was because of me as his arty shell lands next to me (not even on me) and kills me. The joke was on him though because he too so long to type out a message to me I hit 100% just as I died and he immediately turned blue and stopped moving. You're welcome for the win asshole enjoy your 2 hour ban.
Reflecting on Portugal's loss in Football Finals, and Jingle's and Rita's happiness: I think that explains where Jingles has been for a the past few days! Answer: *"...that'll be a 'NO!...'* Followed by Rita screaming from the other room: *Jingles! Isso é um Remo!!! (That's a Paddlin'!!!)*
The Japanese Superheavies are infuriating to play against. The Tier 9 is practically immune to tier 7 lights and meds, and the tier 10 is practically immune to all tier 8s. Even the O-Ho at tier 8 requires about 210mm pen to penetrate the WEAK SPOTS from the front. Also, armour is completely useless against them because derp guns =3
As a counter to the Tier 6/7/8 Japanese superheavies, try the British tier 6 AC4 Experimental or Sherman Firefly VC, both of which have 150 damage on 171mm pen for standard AP, and 150 damage on 239mm pen for APCR. And ok yes, you do still have to keep either of them in a position so they don't get shot at in return because Tier 6 health pool and armour against derp gun, but if you do get in a good position then their roughly 4 to 5 second reload means you can wear down even a tier 8 Japanese superheavy in relatively very little time at all. As for the Tier 9 & 10 superheavies, either call in Arty support, or ask WG to add an orbital laser cannon and/or a 'Rods from God' orbital delivery system into the game. :D
I have the tier9. Pretty much quit playing it after I endured the grind to the top gun. Thought it would make it better. Nope. Just a gold ammo magnet. Every round that hits me seems to be gold, or another derp. No sense in playing it or any of the slow heavies. Play something with OBJ in the title if you want usable armor.
Sheesh. 35.5 that's just too much. My dad was in Marrakech (Morocco) once on the way to Tunis, it was above 40 celsius, the asphalt was melting so you couldn't walk on it; you'd get stuck. (Car tires would also melt into the asphalt)
Thank god Peca finished the Ke-ho. I kept thinking it was going to end in a heartbreaking draw. Dammit, Jingles, stop playing with our emotions down here in the salt mines!!
I remember the last time I saw a Rasenai Heroes medal was in one of your first replay competitions and someone with a Hetzer with the howitzer on ruinberg
I see the title and then the thumbnail and I just think, Goddammit Jingles, off your rocker again, are you? Then I see Japanese heavy. Yep. Invincible is just about right
Jingles has a voice that goes great with narration. I would enjoy a war documentary, nature film, or even just a vid of various cuts from WOT of the Jingles Cackle.
42°C here today Jingles. My dog just sleeps on the mat in front of the air conditioner and waits for dinner. Dogs are so wise when it comes to such matters.
I've seen this battle twice now, but the thing that stands out most is the utterly astonishing fact he doesn't get utterly blasted with premium rounds. Hell if I'm top tank in the pz b2 I get shot with nothing but premium, let alone at t6...
When you look at the fever dreams of a tank engineer, dreams that are invincible, have a giant gun, and are only balanced by artillery (who usually won't shoot them anyway because they won't do enough damage per shot to satisfy their greed) and call it a wonderful addition to your game. You start handing customers to War thunder.
Someone needs to make a frag movie for this showing all of the tanks arriving to the hidey hole of peca and then with some dubsteb playing show compiled clips of each one getting completely fucked over. It would look awesome.
So you also saw Dez's video ;-) Still one amazing battle.Good player, good match making, inferior red team, useless home team and what makes this special, the 'hold your grounds' location.
Before I stopped updating World of Tanks, I used to play the Matilda a lot (it happened to be my highest tier tank) and I love a good damage sponge. I now have a new goal in mind.
Reminded me of a game I had earlier in the week. Line up was heavy on TDs and arty on Province. Green mediums cross, red heavies hunker down in the courtyard hull down. Meds, instead of just lighting and letting support tanks whittle the reds down decide that pushing into heavies supported from across the valley was a good idea. Went from 6 tanks up to down by a lot. Game ended up w/ 2 arty trying to fight it out against 3 arty, one med, one light, two TDs...Still almost won as all but 1 red arty and LT were as dumb as our meds.
churchill III was the shit back in the day when the power creep wasnt retarded. Every gun now has more pen , you meet more high tiers , whihch have higher pen then back in the day , everyone spams gold. The front of the churchill III used to be impossible to penetrate if you were in a tier 5/6 match. The turret was the only weakspot but you could angle and some people didnt even knew. These days , tier 5 shoots gold at your front plate and it goes right through.
something i find funny : between the beginning 2-3 and OI approaching the shelter, the score is 4-13 ... 10 tanks lost in ... 300 meters and 2'14'' ...
I halfway think that m43 decided his team didn't deserve to win. He was doing real damage from off on the flank, and after chewing off 2/3 of Peka's health, he drove right in front and parked there.
Holy shit, that KV-2 got derped into next Tuesday! And then there was the T-67. There's brave and then there's stupid...guess which one the T-67 went for.
That would have required some conscious logical thought though, which is why the enemy team kept rolling out in front of that derp gun one at a time... As it was, only the Covenanter did any real serious amount of shot damage before he tried to ram the front of the O-I.
"Gather round tanks and tankettes, and let me tell you a horror story of old... *plus/ minus THREE matchmaking* When Type-59's got to utterly stomp tier 5's, and when premium ammo was truly Gold ammo... Back when the only thing which could balance the monstrous KV with the 152mm derp AT TIER 5, was the PZIV with the schmallturn turret and long 75mm ...i hate Type 59's to this day...
This is less about how hard it is to kill an O-I and more about the "No cap - Kill All" philosophy. An O-I can be beaten or forced into a draw by the smaller, faster tanks if done properly. This all comes down to the XP/Credit values attached to doing damage vs capping the circle. Frankly, Wargamming can fix these situations completely by sharing the XP/Credit value of killing all surviving tanks [at current HP levels] between the players who cap the circle. A few medals that rely on capping but are as valuable/rare as the kill everything medals would also make it work.
Pardon me over-lord commander Jingles. But if you wanna run the AC while recording? Fkn do it man, YOU'RE doing US a favour. Im sure ppl can handle a bit of background noise :) If not, doubletime in the saltmine. Speeking of which im alnost off my yearly 5 min break so graciously alotted by the one true lord
tbh this was more about the lack of competence of the enemy team rather than how ggod the tank is. A tank is not over powered if you can't penetrate it's front but it's gonna loke like it if the entire enemy team decides to get into a situation were they only shot at the thickest part of the armour.
The Enemy SU-100 should have eaten that thing for breakfast as soon as it was spotted. I know if i'm driving mine, i'll repos to take on the enemy heavies!
I remember shooting that thing in between the tracks with a t5 tank can't remember what one it was though but it penetrated. I was surprised after so many bounces haha then I got smart after, looked at armour profiles etc. "Salutes O1" still prefer it's little brother though....
Watching the same replay from 2 different RU-vidrs, im in a pickle to decide which commentary is the funniest. When my member in World Of Tanks International posted the game stats, i was waiting for the game to show up here. But hell of a game
And there ya go...Claus has talked about teams like this before. If both teams are totally senseless you're gonna have a game like that in a clubbermobile. Astounds me how people can be so tunnel visioned.
Jingles, About your sunburn. As a ginger living in Texas I feel your pain. It is an affliction I have had to deal with my whole life. Let me share the best remedy for relieving the pain and agony in the shortest time. Go buy a can of shaving cream, the, the foamy type, such as Barbasol or if you can find it Noxema. Take a shower and dry off. Squirt a bit of the cream on sunburned areas and rub it into the skin until it disappears. The shaving cream if keep your skin moisturized without blocking your pores so it is not holding in the heat. You are going to start feeling better by the next day. As an added bonus you will hardly peel. Best wishes and don't ever change. Wulfwalker
Well actually Jingles, that is the nerfed Tier 5 Japanese super heavy. 80% of the credit for this game goes to the opposing team. It was fun to watch though. :-)
I'm glad you put up this video, I actually had a chance to watch it right after the battle ended because I kinda know that guy and he posted it on some local-ish FB group! :D I couldn't believed my own eyes, yap thanks for featuring that one for the rest of your viewers. :) P.S. Btw Mr. Jingles, his nick is actually pronounced as you would say on Italian -> Pezza (like Pizza but with an "e" so it's not Peka it's Pezza). :) P.P.S. That KV-2 driver is an actual unicum and he drove like yolo in front of O-I's gun... Uhm... Son, you are doing it wrong!
played a bunch of WoT yesterday, ontop of the constant client crashes, all I was hit with in game was APCR rounds. .... and I was in paper thin armor tanks ......
