I'll never forget being 12 years old and waiting days for this game to finish installing on our family computer and finally hearing this theme for the first time
The chills...also crazy how much shorter the original is compared to the expansions. Shows how much growth there was in the effort put into the music I think, and it was already epic!
I started playing just after TBC released (Yeah I know I missed out a lot during Vanilla). But I still had the days of when the game didn't baby feed most the stuff needed to people. I stopped playing in 2012. About all my friends stopped playing too. Great game though.
Lmaooo thank god classic wow came out so I could play it and finally see how fucking easy and shitty the game was back then. Take your fucking nostalgia glasses off and then come back to me .
@@carlosc2104 The game is easy but that is because everyone was different back then, it was hard for its time. I still much prefer it to Retail wow, just on the pace of the game. it took me 13 days game time to level my first character in classic and I look back on it fondly. on retail, I don't remember anything from leveling my main because I blasted through it in like 1 day maybe less. needless to say, I enjoy both games but I just think classic is better in my opinion.
Wish they could launch a vanilla server in which only original vanilla content is available, i think quite a few players would be willing to play on it during off time.
This music and title card was included in WC3 Frozen Throne CD along with Diablo 2 cinematic trailer and WoW Cinematic Trailer. I was hyped for WoW release for the next year after hearing it.
This describes exactly how epic of a game World of Warcraft was when it came out. I say was, because since the level cap went from 60 to 70 the game lost its epic touch. But vanilla did gave me those epic memories im proud of as a gamer, what a time that was. No offense to BC/WotLK/Catalysm that I played aswell. They still bug my heart for changing WoW
its back to 60 again, its awesome dude, they're now releasing hardcore classic aswell, basically where if u die u gotta delete the character and start again, rn its just an addon but WoW's adding it to the game, its awesome
Alliance or Horde which side do you desire? For me they're both good but I like Alliance better than Horde because I played Alliance more than Horde, but playing Horde was a lot of fun. And I can see why Blizzard favors Horde over Alliance.
The beginning is nice but I think they kind of goofed compares to other games, giving it an actual memorable sound that could be meme'd and remembered.
That Game almost destroyed my social life and i had to go from the game.......back in 2003......................................., but i still regret it lol :)
Nostalgia goggles ;) During early-middle vanilla, they already tampered with it's difficulty, due to crybabies, by nerfing the normal - rare - elite - boss mobs system (totally screwing it up). - I was told it was restored, long after I stopped playing, but by then people were already overgeared to notice the difference between a group of 2 rares 1 normal 1 elite mob vs 3 normal 1 elite. unless it's an alt, and even then who level all the way up now? when you can just boost your character to the top level, as a feature. Same goes for SWTOR, GWs and most mmorpg (although not so blatantly) PvE is only challengy after release. Before the Nerfhammer (after the first hit you go on to try solo group for challenge, until it hits again). PvP on the other hand, in the rare case when it's not unbalanced.... All this is arguably, but that's another story
I remember the times when mobs on my lvl were killing me 1v1 lel. Or the feel of accomplishment when I finally arrived with my palladin to Ironforge :D
wotlk was the beginning of the World of Warcraft we see today. Minimal atmosphere, recycled content, overdone comic relief in serious places, annoying soundtracks, and it killed off the best villain in the Warcraft universe. It has no respect from me. Classic & TBC are on an entirely different tier of quality than wotlk, when Blizzard had passion for its game and did it the way they felt they should do it, not what the community wanted.
@@Solarnova I disagree, I don't remember much comic relief from WOTLK. The atmosphere I remember was quite dark and irrepeatable while the content was the most original WOW could ever show, especially with the dungeons or raids like Ulduar, Naxxramas and so on. And though they killed Arthas, they gave him the best possible death that could come in an mmo game. The beggining of the downfall was in my opinion cataclysm, though it did keep some standards from the previous expansions, from cata and on WOW started losing its mmo rpg elements. MOP got that tendency a little further and WOD was its graveyard....
