@Tobias Time I am. In general Asashio players are above average skill. This guy however, all of the indicators of someone who has no idea of how to play a torp-boat in general and this ship in particular. No real idea if what a destroyer is supposed to do in game.

None of them tie in to WoWS yet, but this one did make me laugh: Donald Trump, Angela Merkel, the Pope and a little girl are on a crashing plane. But there are only three parachutes. Alas the current torpedo bug since the last patch means that a Shima firing torpedoes at an island that is 5km away means your lucky if 1 out of 15 hits.

You would be amazed how many Asashio players don’t know their torps can only hit BBs and CVs, I have been called a cheater more than a few times by Asashio players because I rushed them in a DD or cruiser and was weirdly immune to their torps.

I love my Asashio, a i think partly i like it because players do not expect me to be any good in it, in ranked the amount of times people have at the beginning of the match said "oh we have an asashio we have lost" and i have used it to rank out a number of times. with the right set up the guns are actually not too bad if you know how and when to use them. I have sunk every class of ship, and kiting with guns firing is a great way to get people to focus you and ignore your team mates. as well as which with 5.4km detection i can do 200k spotting damage regularly, working with a DD i can spot they can smoke and shoot, and the other person never knows i am there.

Its also a fun ship to snipe CVs with. Bit of a gamble but still fun when you manage it early game because they dont expect to have to change their route

It also works in reverse. I have on several occasions fired deepwater torps against a DD to make him abandon his smokescreen.

I sometimes fire Asashio torps into dd smoke, especially if there are some other enemies behind it, cause enemy dd might not know that they are deep water torps and might panic out of the smoke and maybe even can hit some BBs behind it.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Even though they can't hit they can make your opponent dodge them. You don't lose anything by launching them unless there is a friendly BB nearby.

This. When I still played this game I used to do this in the pan-asians. The amount of people who will panic because of the torpedo alarm sfx is surprising.

I got once 3 double strikes in one game , 7 kills in total , on T4 Clemson that was at very begining of me playing game , I did not knew that this is rare , I just played for fun then , I did not relized that there are replays , and I have missed few times opportunity for fame on Jingles channel , there was 8 kills on Musashi & Solo warrior on Richelieu , now I have 10k battles in random , and I just cant get epic battles :(

@@reksiohundson8706 I've only been in a clip video where I pre-empted two enemy destroyers courses with intercept torpedoes at the beginning of the game. It doesn't happen often, but it's fun when you manage it. Area denial is why my strike rate is low though lol.

To be fair, you could argue the constant firing of those torpedo's in directions where they wheren't going to hit anything confused the enemy forcing them to split up.

None of those achievements matter now that they've removed the signal flag rewards. Obviously someone in this match could have used some free anti-detonation flags, but Wargaming have no generosity left in any of their bones.

This. I listen to these more like a podcast in the background and I literally dropped what I was doing to make sure I heard that right. I see WG's pandering to whiny crybabies that don't have a brain has only gotten even worse since I left. It's stuff like this that acts as a reminder every time I consider starting this game back up that I remember it'd be a mistake.

In defense of the Asashio, at least one of his torps did, in fact, hit the Veneto. And he took the stoppers out of his guns, which I don't see a lot of IJN toprboat players do. Well played to Aron. 2x double strikes is some shit I haven't seen since a closed beta game.

Not only does the torp indicator go hollow when you target something you cant hit, it out right tells you in English, that you cant hit this target. So every time there's an Asashio player that doesn't understand how his torps work, it's because their awareness is so bad that they're not even able to notice the words in the middle of their screen.

Double strike is such a hard thing to get. I only got like 3 in my 3k games. Never mind getting 2 in one game. That reminds me, that my last Double Strike was quite funny: I got a double strike, while getting two Close Quarter Experts.... with an Izumo. I still dont know how I did this, without dying, but there are probably always bigger potatoes than me in the game.

WG has put in a "IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT" when targeting anything but BBs and CV. Even the targetlines gets faded out. How can you possibly not understand that? Or was that changed in a late micropatch or something?

also of note, two "Detonation" occurred, where one is unfortunate enough to swing a battle completely. i don't know how the poor red team could recover from 2. i took a 68K damage torpedo (detonated) last night and didn't even get the signals... have to buy them now i guess. makes the "Detonation" feature a lot less appealing, and it was already about as appealing as a stick in the eye.

I sent you double double strike with G.Kurfurst about 2 years ago (around the time when British BB's were introduced.) I also had Kraken on that same 8 minute game, Around 30 torpedos were sent my way from distance no greater than 7km, and only 3 or 4 hit me.

True, but it was also extremely frustrating when you were the target of said friendly fire screw-ups. I once had a game with my Gneisnau on the Haven map with a south-east spawn like Aron. Unlike Aron, I spawned on the left and went left on the H-line. Right around the H4/5 divide, a enemy DD got spotted in B cap and managed to get undetected a few seconds later. About 10s later my torpedo alert goes off and I start looking for torps from the briefly spotted red DD, which shouldn't have been possible based on his course through B cap. After several seconds it hit me, figuratively and literally! A friendly ship behind me on the I-line decided to launch their torps into B cap at the enemy DD. The dipshit nailed me with 3 torps, taking about 40% of my HP.

I was a bit excited to see a game where i was in as well. (me in the Neustrashimy) And i even thought the tale could include me! But i ping twice early on and that is where i remember. Speaking as a new player regarding 5:15. If I see torpedoes heading in my direction I will stop attacking and move my ship to avoid getting hit. So even if they are "deep water" toperdoes and cannot do damage (to my destroyer), they can at least disrupt enemy attacks and that's a positive thing. How easy is it to diffentiate between deep water and normal torpedoes?

the Z-46 is still a good DD. all it lacks is HE DPM and torpedo range ... or improved pen angles.... which it will never get now that the 2nd line is out ... a pity as that would greatly help it and the Z-52 to achieve greatness ...

I like these "guess who it is" type of video lol. Also I recently joined back to WOWS, and having a grand old time! It feels like yesterday when the game was in Closed Beta lol. I know Azur Lane is having a collab with WOWS again, so maybe we'll have even more fun event missions in the future! Also, I do hope they fix the replay issue, even though having to guess is really fun actually, I know how annoying it must be for you Commander Jingles to keep having to manually fix it lol.

I think players should not be able to get a given Premium (or Special) ship until they have unlocked at least one tech tree ship of the same class and tier. By that time, the odds are they have a basic grasp of the gameplay for that class at that tier. What are the odds you don't know about the Asashio's gameplay when you've unlocked (let's say) the Kagero?

The odds are very high: there are plenty of people sailing around in a tech tree T10 ship and no clue as to how to use it. And Kagero and Asashio actually play quite differently: their torpedoes are worlds apart.

@@landochabod7 Whatever. Some people will never get a clue, and others will never stop complaining. How Kagero plays compared to Asashio is not the point, and the fact that you don't get that is part of the problem.
