Everytime I see a Pan Asian destroyer fire torpedoes into a smoke screen, it reminds me of the legendary replay Jingles showed us a while ago of the player who did the same thing then called hacks on the destroyer he aimed them at. Still makes me laugh

Funny thing is, you could jump scare enemy DDs out of their smokes with deep water torps. I bet there are still people, who can be surprised by them and forced to abandon smoke. :D

Jingles says that the timer ends and that they are both at 999 points. But there is still a 1:47 left on the clock. I don't play WoW so I am not sure about this, but I believe that both teams reach 1,000 points at the same time. Would that result in a draw?

@@leprekhantar347 yes, and the result screen actually says Draw, it IS pretty rare, almost a legend, but it has happened, and I've seen those in my 4 years of playing this game, honestly they should give you at least an achievment.

Thinking the programming might not have a condition flag or a ‘loss’. If the cutoff trigger were a ‘when one side wins’ then it would be possible for a double WIN. not a double loss. .. huh. ... maybe reverse engineering a computer game isn’t something I can do with arithmetic..

I have an uncle who's name was Bob. His nickname in the navy was boB, what comedians they are. My uncle said, "there was many times I almost told them ""it's so funny I forgot to laugh"" but didn't because I was raised to respect those of higher power than myself

Regarding the Chung Mu launching torpedoes into the enemy Daring's smokescreen, it's possible the Chung Mu was hoping the enemy Daring was unaware of of being immune to the Chung Mu's torpedoes and launched them in an attempt to scare the enemy Daring out of the smokescreen.

Agreed. On the other end of those torps, as a DD in smoke and under fire, it's the "ping" that may first alert me to incoming torpedoes. I'm already moving to avoid before I realize they're deep-water.

Your final comment is a great mantra to being a better player. "If you can't take a joke, you shouldn't be playing multi-player games online". I've lost too much sleep previously over "I should have... "and "if only....". The trick is to learn and move on with a chuckle. Keep up the great work, I especially like the commentaries on WoW.

It is a game so take it easy. No one cares if you win or lose. Don’t like the losing streak, just quit and play some other game or better yet, go to a beach. Life is too short to care about one lousy game

Jingles: What's crazy about this video is that I was just attacked (first time ever - I've played since CBT) by a nut like that Yugumo player in the opening, and, I just played a match to a draw (different game)! Talk about stars aligning or, actually, wild coincidence!

Damn, how'd you make it so far before encountering a nut? My first, and only nut, was a couple years ago, afk DD at the start of the match, enemy carrier flies over and dive bombs him once. He gets back a bit after, starts demanding to know who shot him, I don't think much of it at the time, but no one replies. I'm in my big fat slow Nelson so naturally I'm closest to him at spawn, and rather than consider the enemy carrier at all, he just sails straight for me and torps me. Like two years later and I'm still salty over the sheer, incredulous, baffling, stupidity.

But there are many theories around explaining why he really got expelled. I say, good on flamuu he wasn't getting anything out of being a cc anyway. Time remaining didn't matter. Both teams had 999 points and according to jingles hit 1000 points at the exact same time at the next tick of the clock.

Funny story! I was playing the destitute man's version of Warships yesterday. That is PTO IV on my PS2 and I was playing as Great Britain. Well I built some submarines and two of them had interesting names. The HMS Hans Guderian and the HMS Albert Kesselring. I just shook my head and laughed.

Funny story ( Well for me anyway) I play Legends, I was in my Hood, had a USS No Skill (Atlanta B - So we know the quality of the player here) who rammed into me intentionally, I asked him to move, he refused and he spent the whole game chasing me and shooting me, giving his position away...Of course, it got to a stage where I'm laughing my arse off because he's pulled in front of me to stop me moving, in front of 2 BB's and I'm thinking "oh Free Armour cheers buddy!" Inevitably the BB's destroyed him allowing me to deal damage to the BB's and allow us to win that game and all thanks to the Atlanta B 😂😂

Jingles, to be fair, it makes some sense to fire deep-water torps at a DD in the absence of a better target (or if you're about to sink) since it might distract them, cause them to waste time evading, or even panic them and make them do something stupid.

Last week I had a game where i suddently heard the sound of torpedos launched from close by. I looked rigth and saw the friendly Yugumo fire a full spread rigth at me from a few hundred meters. Yes I was in a DD. Still scared the shit out of me for two seconds.

My dad was in the navy on an aoe(basically a huge fleet resupply ship). He told me a few good stories like one of the ordinance guys did a couple calculations and found out if everything on that ship exploded at once it would've blew a hole in the ocean that would take 7 minutes to fill back in.

This is definitely the rarest draw there is, because Tick-rate is based on the moment you cap, they´re not synced as far as i know, but even then this would be exceptionally rare. I´ve never seen this neither in a replay nor in a Battle myself.

Firing deep water torpedo's at a destroyer may actually win the game if: A. The destroyer player doesn't realize its deep water torps and B. everyone's waiting for him to leave the smoke. Your not going to run out of torps so you may as well test his game knowledge of what those red triangles are.

Bit of a gamble, but that makes sense. Destroyers especially don't have the armor or health to risk a torpedo hit, so a spread would flush him out into some area where he could be targeted more easily.

If you know you are about to die in a DD with deep water torps, launch the things, you may get very lucky and hit something, or you may get less lucky and spook a ship into moving into range of a team mate when they see torps heading their way and have no idea that they are deep water.

I think a draw was a fair result here. Great play from young Bob with the Daring and the Hindenburg, but the Thunderer made exactly the right choices at the end there too.

Just a bit of math was enough to figure out he needed to go for A rather than after the Thunderer. With two CAPs his team was making double the points than the enemy and with 3 minutes to go it was 900 v. 950 points. So it was clear that it would be super close. After capping B he should have turned towards A, but hey, a draw is funny to watch. Shame we don't have the results screen
