Thanks you for answering my question about the 8km and 12m torps. I mostly use the 8s. You ask in a previous video how I use the 8s. I use my concealment of 5.6 kms. I get within 6.5 kms and send the 8km torps. Yes I play the Shima very aggressive. Most of the time when I vet radared is when I'm in a cap. I figure when Inna cap and you get radared it does not matter what torps you have. Great video again.
As a DD main, I have always said that the Shima is still THE torp DD in the game. That was until I got the Minegumo in the Trade In event. It´s got a lower detection than the Shima (5.4 vs 5.6) and you can switch between the 15.5 km long range torps or the short range 6.5 km torps on the fly. The best of both worlds! But for those that didn´t get the Minegumo, the Shima with 12 km torps is the best compromise I think. The 8 km torps can work, but only if you are an experienced DD player and you´re good at keeping track where the radar cruisers and enemy DDs are. Great video as always Aerron!!
@@Aerroon As far as being easier to hit torps yes, the Halland the Jager and the Gdansk can give the Shima and the Minegumo a run for their money, I agree. But the torps on the IJN DDs hit like a truck loaded with TNT. That´s why I prefer them personally.
Well, unless you spend a thing or two you can get special shima. On the other hand, there's Hayate, which is recommend but she plays gunboat and torpedo boat with those quint torpedoes.
Hayate got a buff like patches later, her torpedo reload booster is now in a separate slot, no longer changing it for smoke generator, so you can stealth torpedo them in their way. Both Shimakaze and Hayate play similar but their torpedoes are their main role of striking huge ships!
I usually only fire 2 sets at 1 target. Normally more than enough to kill something and the last set can be held in reserve or against a different target. Just means you dont have a horrible wait between reloads.
Well, good tactics and a good player aren't always the same. Sometimes a good player just wants to farm, but they won't do something silly like the Sejong or Shikishima did.
Shima in WOWs: Help, enemies DDs are killing me Shima in Azur Lane: Ayanami, Yuudachi, let’s make a wall of PAIN. Yes, Shima in AL are totally different beast compare to Gun Boats DDs in AL. Shima is a torpedo spammer and she is very good at doing that. Which in WOWs you can have the torpedo reload booster back on Shima, even if it trades with smoke. It would be funny 30 Torps wall. But dodging shima torps are less annoying than dodging CV or Subs torps.
The Sejong was a bot, he has insane amount of battles with his ships and doesn't do any damage with them. He litteraly has 73 average damage with 152 games in Rahmat for example. Or 0 (!!!) average damage with Sejong in 300 games. And Wg does nothing against bots, i've tried contacting CS with replay proof and all, they don't care, they say they have an automated system against bots but clearly it doesn't work, and they don't give a shit. The 2 bots i've reported are still "playing" the game btw.
Damn. That's sad. What's the point of botting like this though? Is the 112 xp really worth it? Aren't repair costs going to be higher than what they actually get from the match?
@Aerroon well manifestly he could farm up to the tier 9 while botting, took a lot of games but when you litteraly don't have to play the game it's just a matter of time. It's a common thing with bots, they are all playing tech tree ships and have one or 2 premiums in their accounts. Either the accounts were stolen or it's a way to be safe from a ban? And after they are probably selling the accounts with full tech trees.
@@solidtoto Ah. I see. Yeah, that makes sense. I wonder who would buy these accounts though. Won't you be viciously mocked because of your abysmal stats?
It depends of the company they are collaborating with apparently, for example the Hololive collab didn't have lootboxes because Cover didn't want to do that (allegedly). So of course Azure Lane being a gacha game, they would not be against that.
Kind of. On the other hand, can't you just activate the captain voice overs with a mod? Imo the benefit of AL Shimakaze is that it's a premium ship, meaning that you can put Yamamoto on her without retraining. At that point you would have to change the voice over to get AL Shimakaze voice over anyway.
