I totally agree with you Jingles...ppl do NOT look around between shots...only the good capts do it. Ferris Bueller quote."Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once and a while, you could miss it."

Jingles!!!! You have to stop telling ppl not to expose their broadside! I get less and less cits because of you! You laugh so hard at BB-drivers I cant torp them anymore, they keep changing course! :D I suggest you try reverse-psychology in your next WoW video, maybe that´ll help me :P

Glad to see you posting more World of Warships videos Jingles, I really love how you go into the history when you do your ship reviews.

I don't think there's a limit to the amount of times we need to tell cruisers that they're going to get paddled if they go broadside onto a battleship, or even another cruiser. I'm fine with that as long as they stay on the enemy team.

Hey Jingles, you said several times that the tirpitz was at risk of getting citadelled. The tirpitz has to all intents and purposes no citadel. It's an interesting read but basically the tirpitz's citadel begins at the waterline and is angled above the autobounce angle for shots that penetrate the main belt meaning that unless you shoot them at the waterline as they heel over in a turn or land a lucky plunging shot you basically cant score a citadel. Even a yamato at point blank range can't score citadels unless the shell penetrates beneath the waterline. Incidentally you also say he is at risk of being citadelled by cruisers which is impossible at anything other than point blank range on a battleship, and is still very unlikely. Only the amagis citael is really vulnerable to cruiser ap at longer range.

On the subject of that carriers moment, I stealth'd behind the enemy team, to their carriers. They were right next to each other, standing still, and didn't react to me AT ALL. After the Bogue got destroyed by a full salvo of Izyaslav torps, the Langley started moving, but it was too late. So glorious.

I actually own a copy of Great Naval Battles North Atlantic. I can still play it thru DosBox. It is still fun. I bought the disks when they were offered in the late 90s as a package with all the sequels and expansions. Old school but fun. Would love to watch Jingles do a review.

I check Jungles's RU-vid channel almost every hour but sleeping hours, waiting to see any new WoW films.... love his film commentary so much. He is pretty known even in this non English speaking small island "TAIWAN"...

Jingles, the Kirov is just a piece of paper with big guns on it and good engine to mess up enemy aim by alternating backward-foreward throttle, it can reverse at 16 kts as well, much better than attempting a turn.

30:20 - Wow, that torpedoe surely left a mark on the paint job....

It rustles me more than it should but every time Frosty shot his low caliber HE shells into the hull of ships I just cried a bit. Aim for the super structure damnit.

Basically, any time Jingles features a battleship anymore it's pretty much guaranteed to be a Kongo or a Tirpitz. Apparently no one ever sends in worthwhile replays to him while sailing US battleships.

@23:17 I never realized in jingles speak 'keeps the ship angled' meant is sailing broadside on to two enemy battleships. The guy got lucky the RNG spread on both enemy battleships saved him as he was damn near flat to both of them while they were angled against him.

The problem with the Kirov is the extra vodka rations packed into every open space in the hull. Those get hit, and the resultant explosion and drop in crew morale is what dooms the ship. ;)

I have two pieces of advice for Sgt_Frosty 1. For any destroyer, at any tier, you should shut your AA off. It's almost never going to reap any benefits, but it WILL get you spotted. It's far better to disable it so you don't get spotted by nearby aircraft when you shoot them up(do this by toggling the 'p' key). 2. Especially for a Russian Destroyer player, especially when you get into the Tier V and up ships that are essentially Italian Destroyers with 130mm guns, learn to use AP vs Cruisers. There were numerous Cruisers(the Kuma, the Omaha, the Phoenix) you encountered in the mach that you could've easily killed by shooting AP into their Broadside. I've played the Izyaslav and believe me, you will get citadel hits, and they'll be dead. It's far better to do that then take the time to drop torpedoes. Anyways, cheers, and well played match!

Sailing broadside in any ship is a paddling....except when you're sailing a Tirpitz...

Note on the Kirov: Its actually got worse armour than anything in the Russian line that isn't the Orlan.... Yeah, the Tier 1 Ship... But it does have a bloody great big set of guns on it to make up for it.

This makes me want to play World of Warships again.

The Tirpitz may have a rep for being the wallet warriors ship of choice but in the hands of a halfway decent captain, its an absolute monster.

Izyaslav, good boat. REALLLY good boat.

I find that the T34 in WoT has that same rep for noobs buying it, then doing so badly in them. I have 3k games in my T34 and finally once i got my second mark of excellence, people have started taking me seriously in it instead of just calling me a noob right off the bat.

I once wanted to buy a Warspite with barely 100 bb battles and only three BBs in my port (South Carolina, Myogi, Kongo). When I watched videos with n00bs sailing t6 and 8 BBs, I reconsidered :)

low tier rusky dds are a blast to use. Especially setting up ambush points and nuking oblivious players.

Has this ever happened to you? You are about to die in your battleship when a destroyer decides to get a little too close just as your guns reload. You broadside him and he is blown clean off the map.

And I'm very confident an Atago isn't going to citadel a Tirpitz even in the best possible circumstances....

But in all seriousness, Jingles, I haven't yet thanked you for getting me into World of Tanks (Yes I know that this is World of Warships but, whatever) and expanding my knowledge on military machinery in World War II. I am now know as the history geek by my friends, but I don't care. I got my first tier 8 in WoT, the Pershing, and I live it, and loved your review on it back when the engines sounded like a can being crushed, but it was still informational and funny, because that is what you are. Keep it up, and it is just a matter of time until you get 500,000 subs, in which I will hopefully have a replay to send in. Good luck Jingles! :)

As you take interest in this EU server event you may consider doing a short review of those rare low tier premium ships available for diamonds (Tachibana, Smith, Katori and Albany), not all of us play since alpha and these diamonds are not so easy to collect.

bout you Kirov commentry Jingles if you drive a Kirov it seems every enemy Cruiser seems to made of Citadels (i even citadelled a St. Louis), you have great gun angles on kirov you can angle the ship and can be realy sturdy.

I just ran into SyntheticApathy on the EU server and I can admit begrudgingly that he lives up to this and is in fact a good player, thankfully he owes me no repair bill for playing on my team

The Tirpitz is not really the best example when it comes to explaining citadels because of it's very unique armor design. It's very hard to citadel her from the side, certainy from mid to close ranges. For one her belt armor runs almost along the entire length of the ship and more importantly: Closer to the waterline she has 120mm extra armor, angled at 70°, beneath the outer armor. At the waterline the belt gets a bit thinner, but still has 45mm extra secondary armor behind it. The guns barbettes even add an extra 340mm on top of the outer armor (unless you are extremely lucky and hit them directly, which of course is only possible on turrets 2 and 3, as they are elevated. The powder magazine also has extra armor. So plunging fire from vast distance is your best chance of scoring a citadel against it, since the deck armor is not very strong, but from the side it is very hard to get massive hit unless maybe she is turning hard away from and exposing her "belly". This armor layout (which afaik is modelled after reality), together with the large dispersion (probably not realistic, as the Germans had very modern radar fire control systems; unlike the japanese btw, who strangely get the "sniper BBs" in the game) and the torpedos pretty much means the Tirpitz is brilliant brawler and designed to push and go close... Not many people play her to her strengths though. They just see the very good range on her guns and play her as longe range sniper.

I donno, I feel like ya should of given the Konigsberg player in Sgt frosty's replay100 diamonds for being a good player and supporting frosty, but then again I doubt your allowed to do that >.>

I did the same thing against a Nagato yesterday, 20+KM with spotter plane in fuso, 3 hits, one citadel for over 48K, I nearly shat myself
