Yeah that Warspite should have just rammed him. But that game was a veritable potato farm, so I'm not surprised he tried that dumb "sneak up on him from behind" idea.

I thought that if I played IJN Mikasa I must never sink cause IRL it's still alive, right? So it's okay to play safe and disconnect if things went south, right?

Sometimes that 1 remaining enemy can get a kill on a ramming opponent bringing it down to 1v1 so its not a guarantee.

@@tomstech4390 The way ramming mechanics work 2 Warpsites ramming each other should also always kill it each other. If one of them flies the ramming signal he needs to have more than 43000 HP remaining in order to survive. Another chance to maybe survive the ram would be to reverse and the enemy has to catch up to you (from the prespective of Adam Stuart). Might help, might not. So, the ram would have been the best option from the Boston_Tea_Party there. However, since the Boston Tea Party is better at throwing tea overboard a ship than actually ramming the ship I assume his plan really was to go around, park next to Adam Stuart and start to throw the tea.

@@klauba I think @Toms Tech was trying to say that the rammer could end up being killed before actually getting anywhere near to ramming the enemy. Thus making it a 1vs1.

I was thinking the enemy warslite was mirroring Adam around the really small island and was about to pop out after Adam killed the konig to point blank shoot him in his now exposed broadside... Would have been lovely to see, but alas, it wasn't meant to be :p

I came looking for this comment when I saw the angle that both sets of torps aimed at the second Graf Spee came in at; it was clearly not from dead ahead.

Mikasa basically has a St Louis strapped to each side...and the St Louis is already a nightmare for Tier 2 ships!

Lewis Sargent it is worth losing it because you should be pointing your nose at the reds anyway and should your broadside get shot at, you’re doing something wrong or you’ve outplayed yourself and should consider surrendering.

@@TheGeoCheese I think you got confused there. Lewis points out that it is worth to keep the camo because of the extra dispersion it offers, and you point out that the negative aspect of the camo outlining the citadel is only in effect if you play her wrongly. Both of you basically state that the camo should be kept.

I'm a lefty with the mouse, my right hand is on the number pad, which means the shift key is out of reach. So it's less awkward to just use the scroll wheel.

@@not2tired - I'm also a lefty, and my right hand uses the arrow keys. For me, this arrangement works best because for one thing the directions are very clear, plus the shift key is only an inch away.

Traylay it works well in WoT Blitz because of the small maps and teams. I don’t see how it would work in 15on15 with big maps

Traylay, I love Jingles. He has great commentary. Unfortunately, Jingles has only a grasp of basic tactics. To be fair, that more than the majority of the player base. :) However, you are correct. Everyone sailing into one corner of the map is just begging to be cross fired and killed. Also, what is more common when teams try this is that they lose the slowest 2-3 ships to the opposition before they can even group up. So, not only are the begging to be cross fired, but they also sacrifice team member.

He recently stated that a "Lemming-train" or Zerg-rush" ist rather useless, as you now also put it out, because you open the "blob of ships" to a crossfire from various directions. He just didn't say it explipitly today, and instead assumed the position of a "newb-player" on that potato-team. Didn't work too well for them.

I cringed when he talked about everyone north heading south.

It is, but it is better than no coordination. At least the team communicates, and doesn't sit in their capcircle waiting to be crossfired while insulting each other and making the match a 12 v 12X1 match, with 12 individual teams. It isn't a guaranteed win when you communicate, but it does mean fire can be focused on targets and strategies can be discussed.

Yeah, big problem is the half that switches side either goes the long way which takes them out of the fight for too long or cuts through the middle exposing their broadside and telegraphing their intent.

It's not a poor idea at all. If all the enemies in the South dies, it's easier to get control of the middle. Having control of the middle, the South and having a numerical advantage is the fast lane to victory.

@@UndeadDjingis problem is that is a low tier map. Your heavier ships don't have the speed to make that kind of maneuver and while doing it half your ships are out of the fight with their shots blocked by the islands. In order to go down the middle where their shots aren't blocked they end up in a crossfire showing broadside. Against a hesitant or tunnel-visioning enemy it works, anyone else you get stomped. It only slightly works in the domination mode but then your running pure defense for most of the fight.

I dont know for sure, but i think he gets striked by copyright when using the kraken-clip.

In theory it should work as Jingles says, but in random? Do you want to get a lemming train? Cause thats how you get a lemming train.

I loved this map in randoms exactly because of this, it gave variability how matches unfold. I liked it a lot more than the boring static meta of the top tiers.

I completely agree! That part may or may not have been thrilling to watch! I was astounded by the (friendly / enemy) team’s (coordination / collapse)!

Only because Adam was sailing toward the opposing team when he should have been sailing away with that massive of a points lead and so little time left on the clock.

People act like if you are playing, the real world is of not interest and you have nothing else to care about, just playing the game for them. Not like there are things like doorbells, phones, family or angry neighbours to disrupt you. Not to mention techniqual issues like lost connection, crashing, failing to load/log back in, etc...

Map awareness: quick look at the mini-map every 30 seconds.

You don't see health bars or torps on the mini map. Of course it is ok to free view (using the right mouse and the shift key) next to keeping an eye on the mini map to get an idea what is happening around you. Watch experienced players like Flamu or Flambass on Twitch how they get situational awareness. This Warspite player's intention is ok.

kinda, but also kinda not, since the decision to ram or at least try to and keep adam in sight (by using the gap between the small and the big island) would be the only right decision in this moment. going around that island in this situation can never be right with a topspeed around 20 knots AND you rely on a teammate who didnt answer your request (when do teammates do what you advice in WoWS? Right. Never.). So basically the enemy warspite acted like this: Screw this, I dont know the game and that I can win with a ram. So I tell my teammate who was afk half of the game what to do and take the coward (maybe he thought clever?) way around and from the back. So maybe Konig gets killed but THEN Ill devastate adam. But another mistake: Points went close to 1k after the kill of the konig. And this player surely blamed the loss on the konig. So no, this situation was crystalclear the moment it appears: points were visible and all ships were visible @ 19:14 in the vid. Turn right with half-hp, tank some nose-in volleys, get the ram, win the game. Slight chance to get citadelled nose-in (or not? dont know warspites amor scheme) but half hp for tanking the close distance should be fine. Adam couldve reversed but wouldve been caught for the ram. Or he wouldve have sped up 1. straight towards konig = line of sight from two enemy BBs. 2. Left = broadside to konig, enemy warspite behind 3. right in to B = broadside to konig, enemy warspite chasing around the small island. All options mentioned are better than to leave your teammate in a 1on1. I dont know, but this runs through my head in a matter of seconds when playing.
