His laugh never gets old. My favorites are when he laughs at his own jokes particularly the 20% of jokes you don't find funny but then end up in stitches because of his laugh.
The mod, that calculates the points is really useful for these situations. He probably wasn't sure, if the points-lead was enough to run away when he capped A. But even then, running and maybe looking for a fight with that Iowa at C would have been my choice. Nice game though, thanks to the player and Jingles.
It really should be installed by default. That mod is so clean and looks exactly like WG hud that I forget its a mod often. It's so useful, good for teaching concepts too and doesn't clutter the screen. It should be in the base game
Golden rule of DD gameplay : the enemy team will support their DDs YOUR team however will never make the slightest bit of effort to support their own DDs. Once you learn this simple fact you can then decided if you want to get into a fight with an enemy DD.
I chased a dd out of a cap with neptune fire and he wrote this in chat...how come I am being shot by everyone but your dd is fire free?? I dont play dds and it never occurred to me how annoying that would be
2 solutions to this when you just wanna have some fun: long range hydro gunboats (LoYang or a Z with smoke) if you like close range duels or Shima with the 20k torps if you wanna relax outside of everyone's view range torping campers on the other side of the map :D
@@Dr_V Well, my Shima loves her 12 km torps, there is no need for longer distance slow and visible torps - with 5,6 km concealment I outspot almost anything, with 2,7 air detect it is quite hard to keep airspotted and if you know how to dodge incoming fire at least decently, you can play really nice games. Even in clan battles I got desperately chased by Immelmans torp bombers and shot from 12-14 km from Petro and Stalin occasionaly, resulting in me losing 17k hp (4k remaining) over 10 minutes (without a single torp hit from MI) and enemy team losing the game in the meantime, cause our CV supported other side and enemies got brutally outflanked :D
I think the final straw for this game on the enemy team was the Midway prioritising a Hizen over the Vampire II remaining on the team, and the Smolensk getting greedy for a cap instead of chasing that Vampire as hard as possible. In both cases its clear your lose condition has to do with the DD getting away and being able to smoke himself.
Vampire II does not share the same hydro as the Daring. It is a 5km hydro with standard duration and not the 3km found on the Daring. Additionally the Daring has HE too so that's not something special to the Vampire. You essentially trade 1 torpedo launcher and the heal to get a creeping smoke and longer range hydro.
The Azuma plays a dangerous game... I remember doing the same thing to an unfortunate cruiser player, appearing like a noob scrub, making him ignore me and give me broadside eventually. To his demise, that was when I shoved AP into the barrel, took careful aim and striked the nastiest single hit kill with a lot of citadels. Sometimes if you can get away with it, putting on the noob veil and appearing to be the scrub of no threat, can open up opportunities that they didn't expect.
I use that strategy a lot when playing conqueror, spend most of the time launching high explosive at everyone and as soon as they give broadside use the AP to nuke them
Honestly, at this point he seems to be phoning it in. He also said that Daring and Vampire II share the same hydro and that the Vampire II has quickly-reloading smokes, not to mention speed boost vs heal...
Had similar situation (no CV involved luckily) in my Yugumo. All I needed was to sail away, but I wanted 5th kill. It was fully stock Yugumo with 10km torps, so I closed just a bit to BB to drop torps from safe 12km and then.... Alaska pops up within 10km.... I started to run and just got radar for few secs, but it was almost a classic "win harder" throw. Will upload video this week.
My Python final exam starts in 23 minutes I see the video is 21 minutes long May the salt mine overlord bless me Update: I think I did pretty well, thank you Mighty Gnome!
Oh Jingles, misinterpreting ships once again. Vampire II is very different from Daring in multiple ways and none of those is HE. Vampire's hydroacoustic search reaches 5 km for ship detection and 3,5 km for torpedo detection, while Daring's does only reach 3 km in both situations. That Akizuki was on his hydro. Vampire's creeping smokescreen doesn't have a lot of charges and it doesn't reload quickly. Both of those are true for Daring's smokes. Vampire lacks heal and a little bit of hp, but gets improved dpm instead - Vampire's base reload is shorter than that of Daring by 0,3 seconds. Seeing that this particular Vampire isn't running rpf makes me believe that it's a full gunboat build.
Don't get me wrong, I love your content and narration. But when you say some of this important information wrong, some people will remember it and will be confused, when the Vampire catches them off guard with the hydro, for example.
I love his content and I know he watches a lot of replays but he doesn't actually play the game anymore - he only has about 600 battles in total on his account (the one which I know of). In this video he did his level best to totally screw up his description of the ship e.g. "...the creeping smoke screen has a lot of charges and a short cool down" - the exact opposite of how it works and something he could have checked easily by looking at the bottom of the screen. Maybe this is unfair criticism, but I feel like he phones in his wows videos now as he's lost interest in the game but knows a large chunk of his audience watches it. His older videos clearly had a lot more attention paid to them with regards to the history of the ship, interesting anecdotes and understanding of the battle. I increasingly find myself disagreeing with his interpretation of some of the action when he unfairly criticises the player for "misplays" that were actually correct due to his lack of understanding of the game these days.
@@MrRedRye that is something I'm finding quite often as well. I completely understand that as a content creator Jingles doesn't view the game from the extremely competitive side, which for example both Flamu and Flambass do due to their competitive background. I'm trying to ignore misplays here, because they worked - we are watching the video. The truth is that many of the great plays here seen are products of mistakes - a mistake forced the player into a risk a better player wouldn't have to take.
All I can say after watching that is it boggles the mind sometimes at just how some players don't think in a match... It's also amazing to see people burn a credit card like no other to get to higher tier ships. Nothing like a tier 10 potato salad
Wow, haven't been on the edge of my seat from a commentary from you like that in while, Jingles, that was butt clenchingly tight! Congratulations to Chaosbug on a great match, fighting his ship to the last hitpoint.
This is one of the (many) reasons I consider the Score Timer mod to be absolutely essential, because I've made this mistake many times; thinking I need the extra cap to win, when actually what I need to do is make for the nearest corner of the map as fast as I can.
Honestly their smolensk handed him the game. Why he wasn't pumping as MANY shells into that smoke as possible is beyond me. If hed have known how to minimap fire that game would have been over with a minute to go.
I think he was pulling a Clinger! ( hint ) M*A*S*H* reference here. He was playing with matches he knew wouldn't light. After fooling everyone into thinking that the jerry can he had previously Doused himself with was full of gas. When in reality it was full of water. And the matches had been soaked in water the day before. There is a difference between appearing too be crazy, Acting crazy and genuinely being crazy.
So, question: are submarine replays just out of the question? I don't keep too keen an eye on WoW development news, because I don't really play the game that much, but I remember that submarine videos from Jingles was a WHILE ago. Any chance we could see games with subs?
Love you Jingles but when are you gonna check this ships hydro range 😂 - torp detection 3.5km, ship detection 5.0km. You've featured it so often you should know this by now! At least two of your Vampire things you've commented on how/why an enemy DD is smoked up but detected and both times it's been the players hydro
WoW, thats a clutch victory right their. BTW chaos bug i could be wrong but, you would probably do more damage to a smolank with your AP shells, its made of paper. And in more concerning news jingles, the Sovit Aircraft Carriers just got posted on the dev blog.
The kill of the Kagero was such a dick move! Why isn´t he shoting earlier and trying to prevent the Harekaze from dying? And the Kagero was locked for about 30+ seconds, so landing 3-4 salvos would be easy in a Vampire! In the end it looks to me like a proper snack, nothing else. And because of such teammates on top of the shitty balancing, this game sucks as hell!
Hello.First off I'd like to say that I absolutely and thoroughly love your video's especially your wot video's.I have a question.I know that you keep up with most things concerning wot,so have you heard about the new wot game mode called the Col War,and if so do you or are you I should say gonna do any game play for that game mode or are you gonna forego that game mode? Thank you for your time and patience .Sincerely strider7311
Oh jingles....vampire has 5km hydro range(not the 3km of Brit DDs), the daring also has HE(your e thinking of the Brit light cruisers and/or the druid), and the vampire gets half the amount of torps the daring gets, but they have +2km range. Never change!☺
13:37 actually Jingles, next time you give shit to a battleship for firing HE at something that actually knows how to turn, for not using the "correct" ammo type, remember the reload speed of said battleship. For all you know the Hizen had HE loaded because the Azuma had it's bow pointed at hime when he chose that ammo, and after he shot the HE he switched to AP. Better to wait 5 seconds and shoot the HE you have loaded, than wait an additional 30 seconds or so and fire AP at something that might have turned again, or disappeared.
Down to the wire with a bit of pucker factor involved. Vampire II looks like a fun ship but the Daring is cursed for me. I can do good in any other destroyer but that ship just gets uncarriable teams. It's the only ship in my port that whenever I take it out my team is half wiped in the first 5 minutes of the match. It's an amazing ship though, just a lot of bad luck or something.
retreating at the end may have worked, but if the cv hunted him down he wasnt going to last long. 3 capping would have ended the game inside a minute. I dont think he predicted the enemy 3 cap forcing the game's full duration. also, firing at the smolensk was pretty ballsy, but if he'd killed him the game would be seconds from victory. Either choice had similar success chance, the one he went with was much more fun.
Jingles, i have lovely news for you today, soviet CVs where announced, and are coming to the game, your favorite class, and what this game needed the most right? God have mercy on our souls.
19:50 Actually Jingles.... that was the Georgia. If Smolensk captain had any basic understanding of the game, he should've had showered the smoke screen with his shells the whole time.
(Spoilers if you've not watched the whole video) This is one of the things I find strange and annoying about WoWs. In this situation Chaos was bang to rights. All caps lost, The enemy were all over him, he was a 1 hit kill, he was going to loose. But due to the way the game works, the timer ran down and he won. Despite the enemy being in a superior position in every way at the end. That would drive me absolutely nuts if I was on the enemy team.
If it's stupid and it works... It's still stupid. Bad play at the end, but better than the rest of his team. Hizen has kinda screwed anyway so I don't blame him for trying to fight it out. Thunderer should have run so in the least it takes the carrier's aircraft a little longer to get to him.
Lucky bastard! He almost licked the corals and the sea floor with his antics. Jolly good show chaps the salt mine overlord is entertained with that brown alert inducing video!
Jingles, to help you get a little farther along with your Japanese pronunciation: You have a tendency to use the short a sound used in cat, bat, rat, and fat. That sound is not a normal part of Japanese. The letter A is always the sound used for father, tar, and large. But you get a tip of the hat because you're trying, and you're miles ahead of how badly you pronounced Japanese words a year or two ago.
Love the videos as new player watching these are very informative on tactics ect but I look at damage in these videos and how the hell do ppl do so much damage iv only manged 75k in my wee cruiser and can't seem to kill anything in battleship I've got doing uk ships at first battleship any advice
okay im lost, this has noithing to do with the video, but when the heckle are dutch cruisers coming to the live server, as in what patch or is that yet to be known
What happend to chaosbug45? he is no longer at wows-numbers. Did he get so famous after this video, that he have to rename to get rid of all that nasty gossip press reportes?
+1 to this guy but for real, the fact that he is not using his hydro when the Midway and Smokensk could both be torping him has me so triggered right now.
4:17 he have no smoke avible and he smoke himself...3:22 smoke use ( 1 min smoke cooldown it look like cheating).... nvm he is stilll on this first smoke i thing and Jungels explain this spec smoke...TY good game
got a question for chat, does any of you know at what email adress i sent jingles a WoW replay ? i noticed 1 in the description but is that only for Wot or also for WoW?
