Star Wars is pretty much my favorite "thing" in general. Grew up with it. It had a part in some big life stuff throughout the years. I collect SOME merch(whatever I think is cool). This whole vid hits the nail on the head really well.
I think I remember shawn saying something about his acting being bad recently on the last podcast. I have no idea what he was talking about because his facial expressions alone were spot on. especially during the battlefront burn.

I took it as analogous to the new films being catered towards the casual Star Wars fan while alienating the die hard fans, what with flushing the canon and bastardizing everything from now until the end of the cosmos.
Die hard fan = spends more money on EU than merchandise such as shirts, toys, etc. Either not going to see TFA or going to but really sad about it rewriting canon. Casual fan = spends money on merch only. Hates on EU and is over obsessing over TFA.
