i pranked a couple of people with this. i brought it to school one day and hid it somewhere in my classroom. i put the volume on max, and because it was so tiny and because the sound was not like massive, it annoyed everyone a five foot area, including my teacher. i then just paused it and they couldnt find it at all after they tried to locate the source of the sound. yes i am a jackass, but it was april fools so...

Best thing I found at Walmart on clearance for $7 was a Popdrop bluetooth speaker. It has stereo speakers, good look, and not much bigger than this speaker. Sound is actually pretty good depending on what you are listening to.

one use I can find is when you are riding a motorcycle you can put this in the helmet and listen to music answer calls and if the battery doesn't last long than you could get a little external battery.

well.. the mic was at the bottom of the speaker, so it was muffled by the table..

Of course the mic sounded muffled, you had the mic side facing the table! Although I'm sure it wouldn't have helped much if it was facing up anyways, but still.

I have this speaker, bought it a couple years ago. I like it, it's small and compact. I can carry it in my pocket all the time, and me and my friends can always have a Bluetooth speaker at hand to listen to music.

I have something that's similar to this speaker, but is much louder than expected. Same size and shape, just louder. Also the guy you where talking to on the speaker couldn't hear you because the microphone is blocked under the speaker rather than putting it sideways.

I don't really see the point in a speaker that small...

This is perfect as a wireless microphone for cameras with no mic input! Simply velcro the speaker over the built-in mic on said cameras for a quick-and-dirty scratch track.

i have 2 of these bought them for 6 dollars both

got an identical speaker called groovecube at walmart for $5 and came with cable...have a single cell emergency charger works great draped over the neck with small cable.. but still mostly novelty...or maybe for open shop use for people regularly breaking smart phones....

Maybe you can buy a few, position them around you and play music through all of then at the same time. Or even place one in every room of your home so you can hear you music wherever you are in your house.

They made it for jerks like me who hide it in my teachers classroom and play annoying noises. Tiny so easy to hide.

If you can stream to multiple units at the same time (say 10 or 20) you may have a pretty decent sound.

smallest speaker in the world is as much a selling point as smallest ladder in the world.... sure a small ladder has it's uses, but not when it's TOO small :P

Only thing I can think of is if you have a machine with no speakers or broken ones, and you need to hear the sound on a RU-vid video all of a sudden. Suppose you also don't have room for full sized speakers, or stringing cables would be an issue. And you want more than one person to hear it. In that case, you could use this in an emergency situation where a pair of headphones wouldn't cut it.

The microphone was on the bottom in the call. You must have it horizontal so that the mic is on one side and the speaker on the over.

I have the groove cube which is identical to this one. I wear ear plugs and a hard hat at work so I just tape the speaker inside the hat and can use my phone as the remote for my "Bluetooth hard hat" Works pretty good for about 2 hours.

The Skullcandy Keyringer is smaller,but has the biggest sound. It can handle a bass app with no problem. I bought it out of curiosity and was expecting the worst. But I was proven wrong. So i went to go buy more of these beauties,and now I can't find them anywhere.
