World Vision Operation Seasweep's first rescue of Vietnamese refugees on the South China Sea in June of 1978.
My family was rescued by World Vision in 1978 during our escape from Communist Vietnam. In 1979 we immigrated to the United States. Our journey from being refugees to immigrants to becoming Americans shows the positive impact of when America opens its doors to the oppressed and less fortunate of the world.
