Hello everyone and welcome back! I am very happy we watched this together.. and it's so eerily close to what we are going through now... minus people trying to eat other people, LOL. We actually prepared last month and doubled up on reactions in case we needed to separate for a while.. Mom is self quarantined since last week to be safe from the Coronavirus. All is well so far and I'm looking into ways we can all do webcam reactions.. otherwise, Kim and I will be reacting together still as much as we can while practicing social distancing, LOL.
Stay safe, help others where you can and please wash your hands and practice social distancing, even though you probably feel fine. Protect and respect each other. #AloneTogether

I'm sure everyone else is recommending _28 Days Later_ (which itself *_IS_* an amazing film), but I would actually recommend *_Train_*_ to _*_Busan_* - a South Korean zombie film and quite possibly one of the very best ones out there. Definitely one hell of an emotional rollercoaster of a film.

I had heard that the book was set 20 years after the zombie apocalypse and centered on mankind's attempts to rebuild...? If so, then I would love to see a more faithful adaptation of the book, it actually sounds a whole lot more interesting that what actually end up getting with this.

The interviewees are various people involved in the zombie war in varying capacities and they give their views on how the zombie war came to be how various countries failed to adequately prepare. What lead to some terrible times. Why the zombie war took so long to win. What life was like for people during the war and some military interviews on battle tactics various militaries across the globe developed to combat zombies.

George Bean you heard or you read the book? I read it and it’s nothing like this, specially with how the zombies act, at no point in the book are they fast and piling up like ants, the whole point of it is the slow never ending struggle for survival

@@Vuxzu The book wouldn't work as Cinema. It's a quite dull collection of stories that only the most fervent zombie lover would find appealing. They had to make it more appetizing towards people that don't read.

It's relatable only in the sense that the "logic" in that film is equivalent to the "logic" Americans are showing by wearing face masks and buying up toilet paper...LOL!

@@malcolmdrake6137 It's becoming increasingly accepted that wearing face masks actually helps. Anthony Fauci suggests that a move towards large scale use of masks may happen soon. Countries in Europe that adopted wide scale usage of masks demonstrated a drop off in infection rates soon after. Furthermore, studies from MIT demonstrate the projectile nature of breathing and coughing, and further demonstrated the effectiveness of N95/P2 masks in virtually stopping the projectile action of the droplets leaving the mouth or nose. Asian countries that have combated this disease early on have always relied on masks as a way to help stem the spread amongst social distancing measures. Masks probably work, you'd probably do yourself a lot of good by wearing it, which will help you in not getting infected, and not infecting others when you're outside. Can't say the same for the toilet paper panic buying tho lol.

The book is a "sequel" to The Zombie Survival Guide. The zombies are more like the original zombies from George Romero where they do not run and actually eat flesh not just infect. The book is really about the author traveling the world after the war against the undead where humans won. He interviews many survivors on what they went through during the zombie war. I actually like the book better.

TTB is overated. don't get me wrong i like the movie too it's a Okay movie for me. but there's also much more better Z's movie like 28d's/weeks, Shaun of the Dead, ZombieLand 1, Dawn of the dead,Land of the dead, The Horde,REC, Quarantine, etc.

The shopping mall scene has to be one of my favourite movie scenes ever. The police officer being selfish and the teenager who looks like he’s been on drugs ensuring everyone gets their fair share. A heart wrenching way to teach not to judge a book by its cover.

Not a bad movie, but you can really tell that they filmed the movie, wrote a different third act, and filmed it a year after the rest of production was done. It doesn't feel like the same movie.

@@YoureRightIThink There were script problems, with people brought in to rewrite calling the original ending "abrupt and incoherent." The original ending had Brad Pitt fighting through the streets of Moscow's Red Square "like a warrior hero," which wasn't at all like how the character was earlier in the film, and that the film ceased to be "character driven" by that point.

I have to say: World War Z the game is a real goddamn fun game. it's a shame it has no Vs mode like L4D because alot of it is so much like L4D (Bull = Charger, Prowler = Hunter, Screamer = original cut Screamer in L4D, gas bag = original Smoker's damage idea, Infector = Spitter)

The book is more like a collection of reports that were written down after "world war z" happened. Like for example there is one short story of a japanese student dealing with the disease, another one with a soldier for iraq and so on - it is a lot more diverse. Basically the book doesn´t show brad pitts story at all :D Btw. you should check out"Train to busan", great zombie movie but not from the US. Would be something a little different :)

Train to Busan, Seoul Station and Peninsula is a trilogy, SS is a prequel Peninsula is a sequel and TTB is the first film, #Alive is a good korean film too it follows a gamer who is trap in his apartment building and must stay #alive (get it) and the zombies retain some of their memories and Alone is the American remake but the zombies in Alone are more energetic with the zombies being able to repeat their last words to deceive people into coming to them

I loved this movie, but as is the case often, the book was definitely better. They did an okay job translating the source material for a film audience and of course had to take some liberties to make it work. Some similarities such as the wall in Israel and some other brief mentions, but the book zombies were a more traditional (they shamble instead of run) style. The book by Max Brooks (Mel Brooks’ son) takes place years after the war and is a collection of stories about individual experiences during the buildup, outbreak, war, and aftermath of the zombies. Also, the unabridged audiobook is a must listen piece of art. Each character from the books is voiced by celebrities such as Mark Hamill, Alan Alda, Simon Pegg, Martin Scorsese, Rob Reiner, John Turturro, and many more.

loved the movie but loved the book, they are different though, and sequel is supposed to be a soft reboot IF it ever comes out cuz it's production stopped a long time ago
