@@Papitron fun fact about the lemon biom and the lemon people, they will run to a golden brain when its placed on the map and stay there praising it or something like that
@@corvinpeschke8898i actually tested it out they go around it a little bit so I guess what your saying is true Maybe they love Brians but they can’t attack it so they just go around it Pretty cool
@@victorpayumo5840 It's so bothersome especially if you're gonna simulate a War. If an army from a village in the corruption attacks other Islands, it would spread the curse...
Ive actually used the corrupted biome. It was known as ghost island and a civlization actually worked there(i spawned humans there as a joke). Tbey even made colonies in the dwarf region of my map. Though the dwarves took over their land and then another human nation conquered ghost island.
Hi! Im a map maker and create some vids and here's my take: I always try to put all biomes into my maps so I don't find them that ugly, probably because I have to make these biomes work in a world. For example, I usually just put the candy biome on an Island for the "Candy Island Lore" but also as you stated, it really just doesn't blend well with other biomes because of how drastic it is. Now for the crystal biome, I enclosed them within mountains and call it Crystal Caverns, so it's for Cave Kingdoms for dwarves. And some biomes are what I used for nice transition from normal biomes to fantasy ones. Like Mushroom Biomes, I usually put it between the Wasteland/Corrupted and Grasslands/Jungles, cuz you know mushrooms eat decaying stuff. But I do miss the old swamps tho, now its all just mud (Which i think is what the biome looks like now). Anyway still hoping for more biomes, like hopefully they added ocean biomes like Coral Reefs where they can built houses on top of them with platforms. Maybe make a video about future biomes you want to be included hahaha
I agree with everything exept the crystal biome i would add a bit up as i use it to add a bit variety in my maps as they are a bit cool but bland and with no life and i use it just to add monsters to protect my dwarves
What is your thing against crystal is incredibly good The monsters are cool and unique and you hate everything that isn’t realistic the corrupted biome is pretty damn good the ghosts too The candy biome has flesh eaters and the frost biome is just boring. There’s nothing really cool about it it doesn’t have anything and after a while you just don’t care about the biome
I love all the biomes, and I can't believe you could disrespect them.lile that. The crystal biome for example is great for a fantasy world with magic involved, Same thing with the corrupted biome. Like are you REALLY a map maker, or just an amateur who's dunking on fantastic/silly stuff to look cool. Also, while you claim for it to be merely your opinion, you sure like to generalise it to tohers as well, that sounds hypocritical. So while you may like to use basic green biomes...let pepole who do amazing stuff woth the silly biomes alone.
I dont know why but i feel VERY STRONGLY against your swamp commentary, sure the old swamp looked better, BUT IT WAS LITERALLY UNUSABLE civilizations couldn't evevn stand on it let alone make a civilization. I prefer the new one WAY WAY more, but I will admit that the water did look better so here's an alternative I haven't heard ayone else suggest, forest tiles are the current swam and field tiles are the old swamp, best of both worlds. Anyway point is, I respectfully disagree with your swamp opinions, good day.
Yeh thats their mistake, but I love the old swamp! And I agree to make the Plain soils for it to be the old texture with water, while the forest have the muddy ground. Or just be able to built platforms to built houses on top of the swamp... But tbh I actually like it to be harder to create kingdoms in swamp, cuz even in real life swamps is very hard to travel to. Would also be nice to use this biome to act like a barrier same as the purpose of mountains
I like all the biomes. Jungle and swamp are my least favorite because I live in FL which is like swamp ... ugh. I thought you were going to rank them based on bonuses not just appearance
Where is Desert biome where is luck biome and new biomes coming in new update where are they!? How did you miss desert biome create GIANT island made of sand you'll see cactus growing
I agreed with some of your opinions, I do agree that the candy biome is incredibly niche and for most worlds it feels pretty heavily out of place. However I don't agree with your placement of the enchanted, infernal, evil, and crystal biome. I think something to consider is the mechanical depth of the biomes, as these biomes all have very unique gameplay mechanics that heavily affect civilization. Number one the enchanted biome has the ability to bless all who are born on it or walk it, which is major for any civilization and creates a very strategic location on a map. it also has the least amount of bad events in any of the ages. Number two the infernal biome has the major effect of random fires across it, making civilization have a very spicy time trying to colonize it. The other aspect to consider is the ages, which the age of the sun being most prominent. The age of sun turns this place into a raging inferno and spawns in so many flame elementals, it'll turn it and the surrounding biomes into a hell invasion. The chance for demon spawns is also substantially higher here. Corrupted is the most basic with its mechanic also being brutal. Anything that steps through here gets a massive debuff, upon their death they spawn a skeleton and ghost. Pretty rough honestly and it can very easily wipe a world. I do agree about the color scheme and think a dark grey with white would be far better grass coloration, also dips more into it's undead element. The thing I'm going to say for the crystal biome is that it gets really cool if dwarves live there, if your not a fan of dwarves then this biome loses a lot of interest. The first thing is that it has some of the most dangerous natural spawns, the golems are tanky and surprisingly fast while the sword can one shot about half the game, but more importantly these spawns aren't hostile to dwarves and it gives them some natural allies. The biome has a very high ore spawn chance, making ultra mines here very prominent, which naturally lends to the controller having better gear which pairs well with dwarves quality over quantity approach. Then lastly crystal salt the natural food is just fun, it'll either make you real smart or a crackhead no inbetween. Also the trees glow during the dark ages. Overall I agree with most of your opinions excluding the ignoring of some biomes just being more mechanically complex, also I personally enjoy the crystal biome but I'm also a major dwarf fan. I just felt you ignored this attribute of the tier list.
Yah i feel like the tier list is about aesthetics not included the effects and items you can find there. But tbh aesthetics is important to make your world better so if they can update some of these biomes more (bring back old swamp!!)
I understand everything you're trying to say here. I've certainly based the ranking of most biomes mainly on their appearance and aesthetics. Delving into the mechanics of these biomes would have been a far better idea. Perhaps, in the future I'll make another biome tier list where I will base the ratings from both the looks, mechanics and features exclusive to biomes. I highly appreciate your comment, it was very thoughtful and coherent.
My only real problem with the rankings. Is those of us who build worlds TO BE ""unpleasant"" towards humanoids. Evil biome is great, candy biome is pretty good, heck is great. I despise the magic biome "It spawned fairies back when I last used it, and died. All the biomes have their own foods, which at least back a few updates ago, had special traits. Lemons give regen, mushrooms could drive them insane along with crystal stuff drove them insane. Hot pepper set them on fire, or gave them fireproof, ETC. Id check the wiki for more, but with the latest update. idk if this is true anymore. This gave all the biomes a use.
here’s something I found out : the infernal biome is a destroyed swamp biome the corrupted biome is a destroyed enchanted biome and the wasteland biome is a destroyed savannah biome
You did not mention the mechanics of some of the biomes Corruption biome’s grass gives any creature that stands of it for too long the cursed trait so sorry for making you hate this biome more I guess Enchanted biome spawns way more silver and mythril and gives and the enchanted grass gives the enchanted effect it’s basically the perfect biome for elves and really overpowered And the inferno biome I find it overpowered because it can spawn adamantite naturally
I think I also prefer realistic biomes, however that is why out of all unusual biomes I use mushroom one the most because it looks most realistic. Grass is green but it is just giant mushrooms, tho I wish it had more variation of mushrooms, like more colours. But all in all the biome is easly the most able to fit with realistic ones Crystal it took some time for me to get used to as I did not like how trees are actually tree shaped, I think that crystal monoliths would be better like giant clusters... However that wouldn't be tree then. I at first really disliked lemon biome but I think it is actually ok biome, trees are nice I use these biomes rarely and only on small scale like between mountains or on a peninsula or island
I'll consider it, I just need to make sure I include all of them . There are many biome exclusive which can't be spawned that easily, perhaps mods can even forget about them
All races tend to focus on the tiny 15% of the population that commits an overwhelming 50% of the violent crime, but only the white ppl get called out for saying something. These video games need to fix their communities and stop blaming the white man.
