"Worldly People" I Insulting the Very People You're Here to Save

Jehovah's Witnesses consider anyone outside their organization as a "worldly person" that is alienated from God and controlled by Satan the Devil. The end result is a life without normal relationships... and a morbid belief that their neighbors, schoolmates, and co-workers are doomed to destruction... creating an awkward dynamic where they insult the very people they claim committed to saving.

I so sincerely regret that It put my two sons through their torture. I insisted on dragging them to this woeful place, the "Kingdom Hall" .Then , door to door etc. My boys now are about your age Stacey. This Organization is built on making people afraid, it is a dooms day religion ( Armageddon, Armageddon, It is just around the corner". So many corners, I have lost count. Love Almighty God alone, he is Love. My boys and I are out now, we escaped This Organization is the equivalent of living wit a narcissistic partner. Always gaslight to make you doubt yourself, your never good enough. Their aim is for you to give to them your heart and your soul. Thank you Stacey

as for me, I pulled the emergency brake when my first son was 11, the age when I turned myself to become a publisher… I didn’t want him to face the same doubts and problems as I did…eventually all my kids escaped without damage, and I often think, that was my best achievement for them:) although I had to go through the lifelong post religious syndrome, I broke the generation chain for my children and grandchildren :)

I remember the Paradise Lost book being given to me as a young boy before I could even read. The pictures of men, women and children falling into the earthquake cracks during Armageddon was used as a warning to pay attention at the meetings and do as I was told. In reality it was my first exposure to F.O.G and the BITE model, as I began to understand it as an awakening adult.

8:00 am. OMG!! You mentioned the SAME picture in Paradise book that used to terrify me when I was a little girl! The little girl falling into a huge crevis in the earth with her family and her dog still hanging on to her doll! I asked my mom why God was killing a child and her dog? Answer: They were not JW's. I believe that was the turning point for me at 9 yrs old. Although,it took me many years to "escape". I was always told I "asked to many questions." My "worldly"friends were also also my BEST friends. I got stabbed in the back too many times by my JW "friends." The GOD SQUAD. I could write a small book on my bad experiences in this group. Very disheartening. There are many nice,well meaning people,being mislead because they want to "live forever."😢

In my fade I had a “worldly” friend who was universally beloved who tragically died unexpectedly in his early 20s. I expressed my sadness to my mother and the first and only question she had was “ How can he be your friend? He’s not a witness…” I was dumbfounded by the lack of empathy. I want to let you know, I feel for your feelings of caring about your friend. May you be able to find a peace with sharing about him with people who truly care about others, knowing them or not. YES ! I too find it creepy / scarey how even amongst themselves, if someone remarks any sadness , negative words. It gets shot down in what is refferd to as "" encouragement"" I'm not a JW nor are my family. My dad did allow them in the home since being a divorced Catholic, he nor us kids or our mom , his new wife, were allowed in the Catholic church. He wanted us kids to have something , he missed church too. Yet from my grandma's & grandpa's along w all my family we learned to caraboout others. Funny thing was , back then ,JWs SOLD the magazines, so they'd. Also take groceries in exchange. My dad would set them up w a bag of food out of our own stash, yet strange, even to this day the crew l9ks down their nose just because 2're. Not baptise. May you always be happy & blessed by more friends, sad to have heard of your friend who was called home far too soon.

👋Hi there, Stacey! I attended a Circ Assy recently where a 9-year old got baptized...😨 I cringed when that small skinny boy answered loudly the 2 baptism questions... They'll NEVER STOP baptizing infants😰 Among others being baptized was a Wife Abuser. She, a JW Herself, left Him a few months ago and took the children after so many years of abuse. She is so hurt that has expressed She's NEVER going back to Him, even if He becomes a CO. Of course, now She's the "bad one" for not wanting to return to the Abuser who, of course, is now a JW Brother... Now, at the KH HE is being viewed as the "victim"... The WTBTS protects Abusers of all types...🤬🤬🤬

When I was Jehovah witness the term "worldly" made me cringe. I remember a watchtower that said something to the effect of ' college is for the worldlings!' It's just that u also don't forget & these things have lasting effects on people. But I love my mother & she didn't know what she was doing at the time. I know she loves me too. My five year old son had been heartbroken because he was sent out of a classroom into a long dark hall while the class celebrated. When I heard from the teacher, I drove down to get him and told the teacher I was tired of the WT abuses. Son and baby and I went tiny tree shopping. We became silly and happy tying paper and ribbons on it til good ‘ol JW dad comes home, reports the worldly sin to the elders then I got thrown out too. I know the tragic fanaticism and sadness. My mum got baprized in 1980 when I was 6. My dad wasn't in the JWs. So I had the advantages of both worlds. My mum was allowed to take me to the meetings when and if I wanted to go etc. He was laid back and my mum wasn't all that strict. The congregation I was in had alot of those in divided households so they were fairly relaxed. I had lots of worldly friends.... But when we moved to another town this congregation was stricter and slowly I was more indoctrinated. Alot of the ones I use to know as strict JWs are now free. Including one elder whose wife studied with me through to baptism and he sat with me on the questions. Very strong in the truth. But now out.

Thank you, Stacey! Great one again.🇳🇱👍🏼 Just wondering... The 'new' way of preaching will be informal (according to the new brochure). This sounds somehow contradictory. So you're supposed to preach to people you know, take an interest in them, but not allowed to associade with? How many wordly people do JW really know, considering they (must) isolate themselves?
@christinesotelo7655
@christinesotelo7655 10 месяцев назад
And I guess they still can’t “re-preach”(?) to Apostates since we’re a “different kind of worldly”? So only to “worldly worldlies”. No matter who I was “in the world”, I just couldn’t abide them hanging around like biting flies waiting to manipulate what I thought might’ve been a kind friendship, by preaching that buzzing nonsense. I’d run away. Instead of flies, they’re really more like salivating doggies waiting for their opportunity to jump up and snatch your feast. It’s really disgusting.

I believe it. If babies are considered “enemies of God”, even if they’re born to JW parents, I can imagine “worldly” people are enemies. I’d rather be with the babies who are innocent. But in reality, the innocent children are real targets in that Governing Body. Think of the unwanted and unwarranted abuses the children have no choice but to go through: isolation. Having to die rather than receive needed blood transfusions. CSA. Domestic abuse. Bullying. Being no part of a competitive and normal school curriculum. On and on. It’s not the adults who get “persecuted”. It’s their children.

As a teenager I was “encouraged” to hang out with group of witness kids whom my parents thought were “good association” but these groups of girls were boy crazy. I was young and naive and when it was going to be an”study group” it was really a party no different from any of the kids in my high school. We were teenagers and one of the girls was having parties at her house inviting brothers who were in their 20s-30s with underage drinking and a lot of other stuff going on. Some of these couples got DF’d/married/divorced swapped spouses. Now these people who my parents know these people who are only JWs by name are the “popular” people in the 😅congregation and my parents rarely get invited to events or their parties because they are seen as “old fashioned and too serious JWs”

But his mother (the elders wife) would call me and tell me to keep my worldly daughter away from her son! Forward fast: my daughter never wanted to get baptized, she studied university, got a great job, married a “worldly” man for 10 years now and like any other couple they have their ups and downs. But they seek for help and continue together. The elders son got married to a pioneer, years later he is currently disfellowshipped and not going to meetings. The pioneer wife is asking for divorce since he is not a good spiritual Head!!🤦🏽‍♀️ I wish them happiness like any other person deserves. But it doesn’t stop me to go to the elders wife and ask her: how is your worldly son doing? But that’s not me! Thanks Stacey for your channel! Love your analysis! Regards from Puerto Rico! Repents out of fear. Whoops. Disagrees with the No Blood Doctrine or wants to have a Xmas tree. Gets disfellowshipped. Shunned. Loses his family and friends. Suffers. Tries to get reinstated by writing down pages and pages of how leaving WT hurt him in the “world” with “worldlies”. Needs to be shunned for maybe up to another year while standing stupid in a KH like he’s wearing a gag and is ignored to show submission. Realizes finally this is NOT kind. Leaves on his own. Thinks on his own. Builds a new life. Goes back to College. Merry Christmas. Doesn’t dwell on death and destruction. Makes his own Heaven.

Love that you're "Taking it to the streets" with this message. Love Michael McDonald 👍 I've never liked or believed in the negative way we label or treat non witnesses. As you mentioned especially family, neighbors and school mates. This organization has done as much, if not more, to push people away than to attract them. When I say we I mean currently in soon to be out.

Stacey I don’t think a woman would say she was feeling sorry for herself after being beaten by their husband. I think some idiot bethelite made up Selma. Sounds like something they would think a woman would say. Just a thought from your worldly friend 😂
@christinesotelo7655
@christinesotelo7655 10 месяцев назад
No. I remember domestic violence incidents among the KH females. But they were subordinate. Submissive. Always it was the woman’s fault. She’d work so hard to make things right. Never did it work but she was taught to “endure”. A few ended up having breakdowns without outside help allowed. Suicides too. Who wants to live like that? The man has all the power. And praise. She leaves, she is led to believe she has no one. She’s scared of the “world”, she has no University training, no job skills, men rule, untrained elders counsel...children may disrespect her for taking the abuse, little girls learn it’s normal, boys learn the “power” of the “head of the woman”, the only power she has is to remake herself into what he wants and needs. And that never works. So really...it falls to the woman to make what may be the toughest choice of her life: endure the persecution as she was molded by men to do, or plan her escape and know she risks everything if she makes it to freedom. WT life is truly like a Puritan Witch-hunt. There’s always a woman to blame. 😢

I was born in as a enemy of Jehovah thank goodness my parents kept me . But I soon learned as a 5 yr old that my next door neighbor Cindy was going to die soon according to my grandmother. I remember crying everyday from kindergarten to 3rd grade. As time went on I found out that there many people who wouldn’t speak to me ignored my family. It wasn’t the worldly people it was the people at the Kingdom Hall. My life was destroyed by being a JW. My self esteem is awful to this day. My parents were very good to us children they were never good enough either. One unbaptized wealthy sister married an unbaptized unbeliever and all the elders were at that reception. JW’s do judge everyone. But CSA is ok. They are a sick cult.

They should’ve named it: “Make Future Disfellowshipped Apostates”! The average length of time a “newbie” lasts is one to three years. Having worldly experiences, most people unless they are absolutely desperate for companionship, do not brainwash easily and end up disfellowshipped, faded out, or downright tell them off and walk away. The WT is a faded, jaded, and mentally unbalanced cult built on sand as sure as Jonestown or Branch Dravidian or Charles Manson was. The targets: children; the elderly with Estates; the lonely. How many mentally challenged behaviorally challenged young people do you see in WT? How many terribly deformed or crippled? How many very aged and senile? None hardly? I wonder if WT is so “elite” they only want the free laborers that look and act as they’re told. How many homeless enter and are welcomed in KHs? How many construction workers or mechanics or farmers who’ve just come dirty from the job are heartily welcomed into any KH meeting or “Bible Study”? The JWs are quite discriminatory maybe?

When I was six, I drew a first grade picture of Jesus coming on the clouds with my crayons. He had a halo. My twelve year old brother came along and drew a soldier on the ground shooting Jesus-with-a-halo off the cloud. Talk about prophecy! HA! If being an Art illustrator for the WT magazine was a PAID position, heck, we’d be pros! Imagine the cartoons we’d’ve drawn!!! LOL. So from Catholicism to WT to ahhh, finally, the beautiful WORLD (for me. He’s still a JW)...I became an Apostate, a “worldly Apostate”! I love it! I have so many friends, an education, and no church. Ahhhh. I exhale. 22:03 the ground shooting Jesus down from the clouds. Talk about prophecies! Not my bro and I became JWs! Why? Because if we did anything wrong, we’d just get “destroyed” real-quick instead of roasting in Catholic hell forever. Gee. If being a cartoon illustrator for the WT magazine was a paid position, my bro and I would’ve been real pros! (except for that halo)!

It shows the level of control the organization has over people. The questions from readers show that people can't make the littlest decisions on their own. They have to ask permission, is it ok, will I be in trouble. It's ridiculous and a bunch of nonsense.

i have a photo of sunday Hall speaker showing mom with my two brothers in one seat. In the Sunday WT the sketch took off moms hat, and only one child in seat. Then took podium and put flower box wall of ferns in front of speaker as our hall was remodeled just that way. My mom was studying a saturday nite in bed, and knew the picture so got up and spent an hour to dig it up out of the closet. I should look thru my scanned photos for it.

You were completely describing my family 😅 JW mom, always trying to convert everyone, non-believing dad who loved her so much and would placate her with a few bible studies over the years (he couldn't give up smoking 😅). At least our congregation accepted my dad at gatherings. Thankfully we lived at a time when we still 'associated' with our worldly families. Remember all the "Wordly" talk, but ignored it. Looks like I got out just in time when the GB started cracking down.
