We were recently paid a visit by Ryan, and his INSANE K20C1 swap Mini, the first of its kind in the world! Over the dreaded lockdown of 2020, we took on the task of the wiring for this car, taking the harness straight from an FK2 and retrofitting it to work with the setup of the Mini. Join us today as we take a walk around the car, and take it out for a drive. Spoiler alert, it's crazy.

My dad bought me a mini back in Venezuela as my first car and we swapped the power unit for a 1.3 Fiat Fuel Injection engine. It didn’t impress but the making it was too much fun. Let’s hope we can do something like this in the future. Sick work!!

Unfortunately it was sold to someone in France shortly after this video released! We're not sure where the car is anymore 💔

Whilst I love this and it's an absolute unit the purist in me wants to see a modded mini that retains a front engine and front wheel drive and for the wheels not to extend out as far. I'd like to see one that had pretty much the same footprint as a standard mini. But this is awesome though

Christ how hot must it get in there!?!?!? I'd be worried that if the engine did blow up then there would be bits of red hot engine block flying around in there with me. Yikes!

Is this a Zcars Mini with a K20C1? Does the K20C1 use the same mountings as a K20A2, if so guys how much to sort the ECU and wiring out for a swap

It is a Z-Cars chassis although the mounting positions of the engine are different. The customer carried out the fabrication work himself. We'd happily wire up another if you decide to do the same! Feel free to get in contact: sales@dream-automotive.com
