Fred .Flintstone finally someone puts him in his place. The interviewer is constantly instigating petty confrontations with everyone he interviews. Real tough for someone that wears more makeup than Rhonda Rousey.
He wasnt missing anything. Sonnen just said he loved gsp as a fighter but hated him called him grease saint pierre and said he love more real fight. So he said why do u like him as a fighter than? Sonnen decided to be dumb because he got outsmarted lol
@@paleo704 everybody does, Sonnen have been like that all is life. You guys are just sheep and brainless people. Go type Sonnen in the internet and browse. You'll see... he's a tool.
@Randi Fish Sonnen was playing a character which is Landsbergs job to know and even play along but instead Michael Landsberg kept going with the gotcha questions. It would be equivalent to taking something Steve Carrell said as Michael Scott and then saying well you contradicted yourself at the Oscars.
@@Wreckagemaster that doesn’t mean he got trolled you, noob. That means he got bored of roasting that Canadian clown into oblivion and left out of mercy for him
Anyone who knows Chael should never take him seriously or TRY to embarrass him, or TRY to out-smart him, or TRY to ask him "Gotcha" questions or any of that mess... just.... have.... fun with Chael. Play along. Chael is a character, a personality, and the fact that certain people still get offended by Chael is beyond me.
Chael should have responded to that with; perhaps you should stop doing plastic surgeries, since your face looks fucked up enough to scare the children away.
@@Jack-rj2dz omg is kinda like their 2 weight classes apart. It’s almost as if the ufc made weight classes so that wouldn’t happen, but im sure they accidentally did that.
A lot of dumb leftists here crying about a joke. And by the way, look at Canada’s president, are you sure NOW that your country is not socialist compared to USA? If you compare Trump to Trudeau... this president is a shame for the “New World”, cause that populist leftist governments are gaining power in Europe, and losing in Americas, but Maduro, Trudeau, etc... are a shame.
@@OvercomerKZit made for great TV though. A great showman can make a bad interviewer great television. Ive watched this at least 5 times cuz it's so amusing watching him run circles around him verbally.
You should do your research of what business is, because our country did "invent" it sweetie. Stay out of economic history talk if you don't have the wits for it.
Project0061 no, chael left because he was accused of something he didnt do, roids, and guess what dana white protects his boys , and chael went to bellator, much better place
cliff lynch Yeah he was on TRT which totally isn't suspect since he's a 38 year old fighter with shit loads of testosterone and those drugs are meant for 50 year olds with test deficiency. Yeah, so he got ran out the door for roids basically.
+Project0061 You don't know what you're talking about. Mens' testosterone generally begins to decline at the age of 35. Every guy is different, with differing levels of natural test production, and different times in their lives when their testosterone levels begin to decline. Past use of ped's and other drugs can also reduce a guy's natural levels causing them to need trt earlier than they might have otherwise needed it. I don't know the facts as to why exactly Sonnen needs trt, but there are myriad potential reasons why.

i remember the first time somebody made the, "what did you record this with, a potato?" back in 2008 and I had such a big, long, laugh! I'm guessing you did too, and you're trying to recreate that moment for someone else who's using youtube for the first time today?
Dude, you're so triggered, you can't even type correctly. Your little thin fingers are trembling with anger. Oh man, you need to drink some warm milk, calm down and maybe take a nap. Relax bro, it's okay to get upset. You know what... I'll help you out. I take it all back... that "filmed with a potato" line was completely original and you were the first one to ever use it! You need to do stand-up, and make sure you close with the killer potato line that YOU invented!
mvm199 the reason why weidman was able to so affectively fight silva was cause he didn't give into the mind games. the first fight silva didn't have an off night, he just simply didn't take weidman seriously at all. now the second fight, silva was extremely hesitant. dude hadn't lost a fight in almost 10 years. he'd never been knocked out, he came into that octagon overwhelmed by the fact that he wasn't the king of mma anymore. the fact of the matter is, anderson silva when physically and mentally in the game would dominate chris weidman in any aspect of a fight besides wrestling. but, at the same time, chris weidman, was indeed the better fighter both of those fights. he beat anderson silva and now whether or not it came off flukish or silva allowed him to gain that advantage on him its irrelevant cause silva did almost exactly what he did to weidman to forrest griffin, not in the same extent of course and he beat griffin in devastating fashion. he got caught, simple. does that mean weidman's better than him? hell no.
mvm199 weidman, what 11-0 anderson silva 33-6 20 knockouts and a 20 fight win streak. theres no fan boy involved when you pay respect to someone who was able to uphold a record like that. weidman beat him once. the second time was a freak accident. so now that we have that in account. dan henderson beat fedor does that make hendo better then fedor? JDS beat cain velasquez does that mean JDS is better than velasquez. Clay guida beat anthony pettis does that mean guida is better than pettis? dillashaw beat renan barao does that mean dillashaw is better than barao? chris leben beat wanderlei silva does that mean chris leben is better than wanderlei? keith jardine beat chuck liddell does that mean keith jardine is better then chuck? roy nelson beat noguiera does that mean roy nelson is better than nogueria? what people like you don't ever seem to take into account is a fighters career when they've fell victim to a loss. anderson silva was an old man fighting a young mans game like he was indestructible. of course he was gonna get caught eventually and lucky for weidman he was able to get him. matt serra also knocked GSP the fuck out but does that mean serra is a better fighter than gsp? no that means GSP got caught, just like that means silva got caught just like that means fedor got caught just like that means velasquez got caught just like that means wanderlei got caught, just like that means noguiera and liddell got caught. chris weidman doesnt even fall in the same category of an anderson silva. no one falls in the same category of an anderson silva besides the last emperor himself, and thats still highly debatable. weidman fans or should i say silva haters have grown watermelon sized heads since weidman defeated anderson, always failing to realize that a rookie (weidman) does amount to the GOAT by simply knocking him out once and beating him due to an injury. your boy weidman is about 15 fights, and 10-12 title defenses away from even being considered to be better than silva. and just to be clear, I'm a nogueira fan. i respect anderson, mainly cause he comes out of nogueria's camp but the only person i guess i "fan boy" to, is rodrigo nogueira.
@@yupera7325 7 years later and this comment still makes you look like a total idiot. Maybe you've actually started watching mma since this post. SMH. "He's not world class". He fought for multiple world title's. Being number one contender in the UFC is world class by definition you dummy.
This is actually just freaking hilarious haha, this isnt staged or anything imagine being in either side's shoes LMAAAOOO Chael reminds me of a mixture of Jack black and Will Farell Comedy xD
The internet is such a funny place. If Chael was at a beach no one would think "wow he needs to lose weight and do sit ups" but because he is on a youtube video and you can compare him to what ever other athlete you want...
+Izaak Gray exactly he made weight and did fought well. he didn't dehydrate himself to look extra toned for a damn interview who cares, he's among the top athletes on earth.
Huge props to Chael for showing such incredible generosity by staying as long as he did. Had he walked off after the 2nd question, I wouldn't have blamed him one bit. What a complete and utter train wreck of an interview -- I find it hard to believe that this guy has 3,000 shows under his belt yet he still can't properly do his job. I *almost* ended this comment by making a jab at Canadian TV & how their standards must be lower over there...but then the words "Honey Boo Boo" and "Real Housewives of (insert name of random city)" popped into my head and I realized I didn't really have a leg to stand on... XD
You have totally misread this interview my friend... this was genius Landsberg did to Chael Sonnen what Chael does to every fighter and interviewer he comes across.. Landsberg brilliantly annoys the crap out of Chael and gives him a taste of his own medicine... I think its hilarious... he asks him questions with negative answers and chael is left on the total defensive hilarious!!!
Khaos969 I wouldn't call that a "brilliant" move in my opinion. Chael does that to fighters he's competing against. I don't think an interviewer should try to 'annoy the crap' out of his guests if he's trying to get an interview. If Chael makes his opponent walk away from a fight, that's a win. If an interviewer makes a guest walk away from his show, that's a loss. Just my opinion.
It was all a show. I am no fan of Michael Landsburg, but he did a good job here. Chael's shtick is to act like a cocky, wise cracking, irreverent, loud mouth. For once, an interviewer (Landsburg) played along, egged him on, and gave Chael the opportunity to be the smart ass jerk he likes to portray in true WWE fashion. That's what makes this a great interview. Had Landsburg just done a normal straight interview, it would be boring, and Chael wouldn't have the opportunity to play it up like a WWE promo, which is what her loves to do. Cheers.
landsberg looks like wat u'd expect if u fell asleep for 20 years and woke up midway through a zombie apocalypse - and the zombies had begun to take normal everyday jobs like cashiers, milk men and interviewers...
"You might wanna take the bass outta your tone, Im not sure you know who youre talking to here but Ive never backed down from anything so check your facts".. One of the most gangster things I ever heard someone say lol
@BPJ it was just a dickhead question. Obviously it's true but it's a low blow that makes the interviewer look like a dick and he is from the looks of the entire video.
Honestly, watch a few Sonnen interviews and you'll understand why and where this all went wrong. He is not upset at all with Landsburger at the beginning of the interview. The "did you back down" questions are not phasing him, despite his defensive attitude towards them. He's just doing his (very entertaining), Charles Grodin on Letterman, I'm-an-asshole schtick. He starts to get legitimately pissed when Landsburger actually agrees to start the interview over. Sonnen is trying to make things entertaining, but Landsburger just keeps asking odd, contradictory, irrelevant and confusing questions that couldn't possibly have interesting answers. Landsburger isn't aware of how to roll with the punches and get an interesting segment out of Sonnen, who likes to cut WWF-style promos. Imagine you were watching Macho Man Randy Savage say some derogatory to Mean Gene Okerlund during a crazy, heated heel promo and Mean Gene suddenly says, "hold on now… why are you getting so upset?? Calm down. Let's start this interview over." It ruins the flow and entertainment value. He left at the perfect moment: "Would you beat him, if you fought him?" "I would do my best." This is as honest an answer as anyone can give. How the fuck can he know, in advance, if he would beat him?? "I would make the assumption you would do your best any time in the octagon, would you not?" No shit. That's one of the dumbest responses I've ever heard in my life. How do you even answer such a shit-fuck of a stupid question??
6:55 That was one of the best deliveries of the disgusted "What?" comment in modern times.. I still giggle out loud in public like a mental patient when I play this back in my head, in a line at the bank or the grocery store
One of these guys went on to be one of the most watched influential and appreciated mma content creators of all time. The other I haven’t seen in a long time.
I'm pretty sure that went exactly how Chael wanted it to go.He didn't look mad at all.The dude asked some stupid questions so Chael ruined the interview for him.
Trea Coffill That went the way Chael wanted it to? LOL are you simple.... the guy asked him constant negative gotcha questions , Chael tried all he could to come back then eventually cracked and had to leave... him leaving was a victory for the interviewer
Apparently you're simple because no ESPN interviewer ever wants the person they're interviewing to leave and ruin the segment. How do you think that's what he wanted? You just saw the situation how you wanted to see it.Chael made him look stupid.
this guy has some good questions, but chooses to ask the dumb ones... chael is obviously down to answer the realistic questions, but why the hell bring up shit from years ago
Yes he is a Martial artist. Boxing and wrestling are Martial arts. Just because they don't come from Asia doesn't mean that they aren't systems of combat. When we think of the term "Martial arts" we always think Karate, Tae kwon do, Judo, Kung fu, but "Martial" means "war" and so Martial arts, is the art of combat. It doesn't matter where it came from or how fluid or sloppy it make look.
It's fascinating to rewatch it after many years it happened. I wasn't aware of how passive agressiveness forgot that well and now I can see that that's a main cannon st Mr Landsberg's arsenal
Doesn’t surprise me with that joker? After they booted him off air, he went on a “poor me I have depression” grift for awhile, since nobody can stand the guy and his tabloid trash.
