This is IMO one of the best home made bins you can get. In the vid I show the refinements to the original plan I would advise, and describe how its made (easier than typing lol)
Wish I would have remembered to watch this BEFORE I drilled and installed my tubing.... :-( I guess I could always add a 1/2 inch piece between the 1st and 2nd tubes. Think that is really needed?
only time will tell, Steven - but it is probably going to be allright - the VC at 24 inches is harder to move with the rake than you would at first believe
+Devoy Williams I think I misread your question mate - it depends what youre trying to accomplish - I think a compost pile, if done the thermophyllic way and turned 3 times etc will give you COMPOST quicker than a worm bin could produce VERMICOMPOST (and youd need a large worm farm to equal the ability of a simple pile of compost to finish) - but the quality of the VC is FAR beyond whats in simple compost. Composting and vermicomposting are similar, but 2 different animals entirely. Im not an expert on composting - theres some guys in the worm fb groups that could answer you better. Thanks for watching :)
