I was going to create a 3.18 Joystick config for the Turtle Beach Velocity One joystick. Noobifier had some nice things to say and mentioned it wasn't that percise...but that doesn't matter that much for throttle compared to combat so I thought, what the heck, lets make a HoSaM config.
OMG TRASH!!!! Worse then trash, for $170 launch and $130 now, it is the worst buy. Turtle Beach should do a FULL RECALL!
I'll post my really hot take next...this one had less rage but also talked about all the better options.

Unfortunately for those of us who have Xbox there aren't many options. TM Hotas One I don't like the design

HOTAS has some horrible issues with stick drift after a while of owning it, plus the throttle has major issues (no resistance and a neutral notch that makes getting the +/- 25% thrust hard to achieve without going up/down to 50% first. due to the force to come out the notch - I actually opened up my whole throttle to file down the notch which admittedly was a massive improvement).

Yeh I don't like the design either. What game on XBOX would you recommend I try alternate stick options with?

There is a mod that you can do to make the stick less stiff. It's uploaded by a user named natEice

Thanks, great to know, so annoying that people have to spend that much money and then mod it and void the warranty to make it usable. I thankfully returned mine right away. The VKB has way better features and use case. For XBOX and Starfield, maybe but having more buttons and dialed in controls for the same money.

This is a shame. I was considering this because the hotas has a throttle that has the same issue as this does with it's joystick, that black hole neutral you fight out of and jump. It doesn't look bad at first but it grates on you. I ended up modifying my hotas to make it better but you couldn't do that with this.

I had high hopes for the TBVO in IL-2 and DCS World, but had to return it. Agree with your view on the 0 to 100 on the X/Y part, but the super stiff rotation made it unusable for precise rudder use. I went back to my trusty Logitech Extreme 3D. I just started playing SC, even though I signed up during the Kickstarter, and have been using mouse and keyboard so far. Thanks for your videos, I will try the Extreme 3D and keyboard setup....that's if I can ever get into 3.18. :)

Good news, I finally got into 318 last night. There are some major server lag issues and some big bugs but it was really fun! Thanks for your comment and thoughts of that stick, especially in games other than SC. One of my Officers loves her Logi-X3D and One of our new org members expressed a mind blown experience adding a stick instead of his mouse to fly. For me even in a turret the immersion is really exciting too message. @@SurvivorToHero Was thinking of replacing my Thrustmaster 16000M for the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro since the Z-axis spazzes out from time to time which apparently is a common issue with it. It sucks when your craft just decides to roll on it's own through space in Elite Dangerous and Star Wars Squadrons. Does the Extreme 3D Pro have a similar issue after using it for some time?

@@AirAssault7 wow that’s the first I’ve heard about that, but in some ways I’m not surprised. My friend using Logitech full time has never reported that problem. To fix it did recalibration help or is it a flaky sensor / short?
