I have a slight feeling that he gets tired / saturated from listening to all these openings in one go, cause you can see that at the start he gives much higher grades to (subjectively) worse openings, It takes a different or even unusual opening later on to break the cycle for him to give a better grade to an opening, I might be reading too much into this or, he may just like certain openings but idk...
i watched it and I didn't get the feeling that he was getting too tired. When an opening he liked showed up, he brought back the energy so he probably just has different tastes cuz he's not an avid anime watcher like most of us.
That's not a good way to react. You can't have a good opinion of a music or an video if you don't even watch it entirely. If the majority of your comments section says they don't like your video, it's because there's a problem with your video. There wouldn't be hate if you take seriously their advice to upgrade your videos in a first place. Rating things is something serious to me, I can say that SAO is bad because I watch it entirely and re-watch it a second time, and you rate openings without even watch them entirely ? Bro let just be serious. The reaction side of RU-vid is not for you. And little reminder, the music you heard in those openings are not just random anime music. It's real music which is made by real and really famous artists that have a lot experience. You can't just say these musics are bad, you can dislike it, but not saying one of those are bad or good. Take seriously what people say in the comments section about the quality of your video, because that's is just not how reactions videos should look like. If you take exemple on famous anime reaction youtubers, you will see that they watch entirely, they put the videos or music on pause to talk, and they say things like "I PERSONALLY DON'T LIKE/ LIKE IT" or start their opinions by "IN MY OPINION,". Because that how it work. You'll never see a culinary professional say "I dOnt lIKe TomAtoes, So YOuR REStaUrAnt is BAD!" because rating things don't work like that. I understand your thoughts and view on it. But at the same time…..he’s not a RU-vidr or reaction RU-vidr or anime RU-vidr. He’s just a guest I had on my channel and I felt it most comfortable to have him do his own style of reacting and me just curating since I’d have a bias opinion if I intervene as a anime fan. If you check out my personal reactions/tier list vs me having him as a guest you’d see it’s completely different. So he wouldn’t necessarily know any of those things you’re saying since he doesn’t watch any of those type of videos since everyone doesn’t exist in the same RU-vid world as us.
But this is not me dismissing your criticism I do value it and understand what you mean in relation to the bigger reactors. But also wasn’t trying to make same style video or vibe as those more experienced reactors. This was really supposed to give off kicking it with my boy vibes which I rather it be fun for him to sit with me for 2+ hours listening to stuff he don’t have interest in than to be extremely gate keeping on how he’s not going about it the same style as the biggest RU-vidrs.

Im always down for being challenged in thought process since it’ll help me get better as a creator to learn new outlooks but I also don’t take seriously suggestions or thoughts with no rationale,logic or that’s constructive that’s just based on pure emotion, if it’s something related to a subject that is so low stakes like talking about anime and not high stakes like real life issues where I will always put how I make someone feel into consideration. Maybe wait until the end of the opening to rate it instead of cutting some short. Also judging the openings on visuals can be extremely harsh when they’re old
he enjoyed fist of the northstar opening so i dont think age matters much for him but i can see why you think that way. also openings are a minute and half. i personally as an anime fan about 80% know that if i dont like the half the opening song not much will probably change in the second half. (in my opinion)

A lot of anime songs end with a unique burst, if you dont watch them then thats bad and you cant really rate the song validly, if you do watch them and then decide to edit the vid like this then U IS LOOKING FOR HATE😂😂

HOLY SHIT- As soon as I saw one of my ultimate favorites right off the bat, I was thinking "Oh boy-" Another Berserk OST you can hit him with is Forces by Susumu Hirasawa. It's so damn powerful. You can just tell him Durarara!! is about an Irish deity on a motorcycle looking for her head and everything that gets in the way of that. No, Stand Alone Complex is not 3D. If you see the second opening or the series at all, you'd know that. They chose to do that, because 3D animation was revolutionary at the time. Wow. Giving Origa an F. What a shame. She is singing in English, Russian, and Latin in Inner Universe. That's why it "sounds jumbled". Actually giving Hell's Paradise an A? Well damn. I expected hate right off the bat. The ending for Oshi no Ko is far better.

Oh man, I just had to laugh at that Ghost in the Shell opening take. No hate, I just find it so funny and interesting to hear him say it sucked and gave it an F, and while I think the opening (song) is beautifully done and is easily an A and I haven't even seen a single episode of the series.
I used to follow a site that released anime openings for new shows. This was when GITSAC first began airing in Japan. The opening I saw was all animated so I was surprised when a CG version came out and I really did not like it compared to the animated one. Not at all.
I vaguely remember something about the studio having 0 confidence in Code Geass in the beggining, since it was an original anime, so they had next to no budget and had to scrape the first 2 OPs together, which is why they feel so stilted. Songs are fire, though
Sometimes i wish you'd react to the whole songs, missing some of the best parts that sometimes can make the song even better, some bridges, etc. But i don't know if you do since the reaction is a bit cut.
A lot of this is edited down if this was raw video would be 2 hours long. But I understand your opinion as so much other people stated but since he doesn’t watch anime at all and I do. I know which songs since I made the playlist besides 1 or 2. If the songs vibe changes at any point or more than halfway through. You are so damn based for putting Kiss Me (from Carol & Tuesday) at S tier. The anime is about music btw (Kiss Me is sung by the two main characters), so I definitely suggest listening to other Carol & Tuesday songs! :)

But also musicians come in all different styles/variations and outlooks not just one way to look at them. And people can sometimes gatekeep what makes you a musician which isn’t healthy and has very weird undertones.

First time viewer here and I just gotta say you clearly have a preference and that's fine but damn I got hard baited in to thinking that this was going to be a "non-biased" musician giving their take on the actual "music" side of the openings and not just a guy saying "the vocalist was distracting to me, I feel like he wasn't strong enough. It's hard to hate on his opinions because they are just that opinions and every one's is entitled to them but I have to real here.... giving Ghost in The Shell SAC op Inner Universe an F is insane yes the visuals are a bit weird but the song is legendary and a cult classic at this point and it alone is easily S rank but sadly the singer passed away so we'll never get to hear her do more songs RIP. So like i said no hate its just a difference of opinions but if someone's take is so Bad i can hardly take his opinions seriously anymore. But to be fair i do both agree and disagree with some of his op takes but one major bad take can easily ruin that. Anyway i liked the reaction for the most part other then that... so keep it up.
I guess at the end of the day he just started giving opinions without even knowing what an opening is, they don't always have to hype you up but suck you in is completely acceptable, for example this video popped out when looking for kiznaiver op reaction for some reason, and damn can you even rate a song without any idea of what the lyrics is.
