I was surprised you did not like this one it has a nice spinach heavy flavor. I bet adding some meat would help it a lot. I think it has a nice component set up at least. Nice Review.
Nice review, my friend! I like spinach, so I might like this one. Adding the hot sauce just made it sound more appetizing! I can’t wait until I get coffee and a chocolate drink mix in the same MRE so I can make my own MRE frappachino.
I don't exactly hate spinach but it's certainly not my favorite ingredient. I just found this one to be bland and boring but that just goes to show how different people's tastes are. I'm glad someone likes it.
I have eaten this menu a few times and I each time I really liked it. I like spinach. I like mushrooms. There is definitely cheese in the sauce and the sauce is nice and creamy. The noodle are a bit soft, but that's pretty much with any MRE pasta. The honey mustard pretzel bites were a delicious treat and I added them to the main. It gave some extra crunch and texture variation and they went great together. The ones I had always came with crushed red pepper, which added some nice extra flavor and heat. Overall, although not one of my top favorites, I would eat one of these happily. I think this is a unique meal that is completely different than any other menu and it is a shame nobody else seems to like it and it has been discontinued. I guess the votes are heavily against me. That's kinda good though because these are always the cheapest to buy. Also, whenever you buy a random lot, they *always* include one of these. Guaranteed.
Creamy Spinach Fettucine with Noodles joins the pantheon of failed U.S. Army MREs in history. The list of losers includes: Chicken Loaf; Dehydrated Pork Patty; Dehydrated Beef Patty; Corned Beef Hash; Hot Dogs, Scrambled Eggs with Ham; Ham and Chicken Loaf....of those I remember for the moment.
I actually had the opportunity to try this one, unfortunately. YUCK! It is truly BAD. And I like spinach. I'd have to be literally starving for awhile before I'd eat it again. 😩 If they'd add some pork to it, it might be edible.
Love spinach, but this has a consistently weird off-flavor and smell. My approach is to eat it first and then the other components to get the taste out of my mouth. This entree needs to be replaced with some other veg option.
