That "manager's" attitude was "McGarbage".

I feel like they hire the biggest asses, other joints have more humble workers.

Passive aggressive queen behavior at its finest! She’s mad at the lazy employees, she probably hired who neglected to help you, making her have to help you! So she had to passively aggressively repeat that she HAD TO COME OFF HER BREAK so they would hear, then ran to her car and hid leaving them to deal with you. 😂 She was already mad. Seems $16-$22 an hour no longer buys customer service. We should be honored to have queen McDee serve us! And believe me, if you were a woman they would have labeled you a “Karen”.

Got those quiet quitters (the ones in the back) then got the unhinged ones like this manager. Be careful some are way worse...total whack jobs. Like the one employee in Prescott who punch that senior customer and killed him. Stay safe.

I wouldn't even have spent my money there. This is one of the reasons why I'm very selective with where I spend my money. If the staff there treats customers that badly, then you can imagine how much worse they treat food delivery drivers.

Steve - The solution is simple, stop, going to McDonald’s, or any other place with bad service. New McDonald’s or not don’t give them your money.

That's the kind of service I typically get at a McDonalds in my area. Used to be good service. I don't know what happened. The kiosk in "my" McDonalds really stinks. I report to corporate once in a while also. Like when one day a manager was being nasty to a new employee. Poor girl had just started there, there was something she didn't know how to do. I have to bite my tongue a lot, because these day I can really let it rip when I see injustice. I worked for McDonald's when I was a kid (thousands of years ago). Customer service was everything! I loved being nice to people. My co-workers were similar. I wonder if this is a systemic thing? Your experience of no one greeting you, workers ignoring you, managers with bad attitudes, is so similar to mine, that I have to wonder if there isn't something bigger than the individual McDonalds going on. Could this be that "quiet quitting" crap that is allegedly going around? If I was their mama, I'd slap the attitude out of them. I'd love to hear your update on this. I couldn't do your job. I really couldn't. With all that rudeness going on. Jerk service, and some jerk customers. Then add traffic to the whole thing. Nope. Bless you, my friend, you provide a valuable service. I agree. McDonald’s service and attitude is usually pretty bad. I get the best service at Freddys and at chick Fila. But Freddys screwed up, I ordered a Patty Melt and they gave it to me on dry white untoasted bread. That sucked. Our world is changing.

Thought I'd share my experience from my local McDonald's... the repeating theme is the lack of anyone at the front, and the attitude from the workers at having to come help you. I just came back and, I went with my family and, I placed a large order including a happy meal for a little one. They brought out everything EXCEPT the happy meal. When I go back to ask for it, the person at the counter audibly said "Oh god..." In my head I was like "Oh god? I paid for this meal." They grudgingly bring it out. I go sit and realize we have no ketchup, so I went back and asked for some ketchup, AGAIN there was an "Oh god..." Like do you hate having to do your job? Lastly, the toy that came with the meal was a girl toy. I went and ask to see if I could trade it in for a boy one. Luckily it was a different, more polite person this time, but when he went back to ask, THE SAME RUDE PERSON told him to tell me they only had this toy. I smiled, took the toy and left. But over all, the vibe I got was that the were NOT happy to help me. I spent over $70.00, and this is how I'm treated? I don't want to go back to that again. Anyway, thanks for hearing me out.

As you said this is now the norm for fast food places. Not enough workers. So the one that do work are over worked and don't get any appreciation from their owners. Owners don't care either. Just all the way down the chain of I dont care.

Yesterday I went inside at mickey Dee's. 1 person at the register. 6 people in line. I finally just left. Everyone was pissed. They have lost me as a customer forever. To many options.

Had the same type of service paying a ticket at a Dayton Ohio traffic offense place.Fat black woman upset that I interrupted her talking on her phone and stuffing her face. She got nasty and I got nasty back and when I called to complain ,her boss, Who was very nice, Said she said I called her the n word.Typical lie when she had no excuse for mouthing off and not wanting to do her job.

That's incredible, Steve. If she's on break, she's not allowed to work. This store has some MAJOR issues to handle. Does she think she can talk to you like that because she's on break?

i also today had a manager treat me terrible in kendall florida. She said i was taking up two tables with me and my boyfrieind. She said i have you on camera. What that does mean? doing what ? Sitting on chairs? I want her fired!!!!

As a McDonald's employee myself, I can tell you that my GM would not be happy with how they treated you. The "manager" that took your order possibly would be demoted or fired for that. Sorry that this happened to you.

I swear I thought this was the store I went to! Similar situation but at the drive through. I could literally feel the nasty attitude through the speaker. I told my kid we’re never eating McDonald’s again,she agreed.

I work in customer service and i died inside wathcing this. Im sorry. These people have a job to do, whether they like it or not being pleasant is part of the job.

McDonald's is one of the worst. They slop the food together. The one we go to they are nice. But, the food barly acceptable. They want $15.00 a hour. But Don't want to give $15.00 a hour worth of effort.

What if a costumer doesn’t want to order but has a question? For example, I entered a McDonalds and realized that my order (that I ordered online 15 min ago) was not ready. No one was on the counter and the employees in the back just looked at me awkwardly as I stood there waiting to be helped. There was an old lady also waiting to order and they redirected her to the kiosk that she didn’t know how to use. I had to yell out to an employee to ask about my order and they told a manager who said that he’ll take care of it. Minutes go by and I have to ask an employee again about my order. The employee has to remind the manager about me and apparently it turns out that the order that I placed online was not in the system so they had to reorder everything for me. People who ordered later than me had their meals ready while I had to wait more time just so that they can give me my plain cheeseburger. In total, I had to wait 30 minutes for my meal, and I was also on lunch break during that time.

I work at McDonalds and a lot of the time customers are so rude to the employees! They are just fed up with being constantly cursed at and you gotta see the employee's perspective as well! Y'all need to we only get a 10-minute break to eat and use the restroom! This job is very stressful plus demanding. A lot of the workers are very much stressed out.

For several years almost daily I take my bulldog for a ride to town. I get a ice coffee and #1 gets a hamburger. Post covid prices and customer service has completely eliminated mcdonalds from our budget. Last fall in North Terre Haute I learned how things are evolving at mcdonalds. This particular day I learned if a customer asks a employee to please stir the vanilla puddle out of the bottom of my ice coffee, its acceptable to only once tell a customer to stir their own damn coffee. The manager kindly explained that she will speak with the gentleman and make sure he understands he will be placed back in the kitchen if he does it again. And then just recently at Charleston IL I upset another employee when she brought my curb side out and walked away before I could sit the drink down and open the bag. Well no straw or napkins so I politely asked her back. She took offense and got pissed at me. When she returned she thrust her arm in my window with a stern HERE. My well going day just took a nose dive. I got out my phone to call and decided to take a breath and go on and eat a nice lunch on the way home. About half way home I finish lunch and check the bag for lose fries and now discover I only had 1 burger left. I ordered 2 for my dog. I called them and explained i didn't want anything period. That I am just informing them I will no longer purchase any McDonalds again and thanked him for providing me a path to a healthier lifestyle. 😮

Sky high restaurant wages , everybody getting so called rights ,new generation sense of entitlement, tik tok,social media period , government checks,put all that in one pot and now we are here ... we let this happen and it's all over not just Mc D's

I agree customer service is horrible nowadays it's because everyone makes excuses for employees bad behavior a lot of Millennials have the attitude of the customer is always wrong and unfortunately McDonald's just doesn't usually take customer complaints seriously I know cuz I worked there people generally have the attitude of they don't have to provide good customer service because they don't get paid a lot it's a horrible entitled attitude if I were you I would have sent that video to corporate.

She might have been having a medical issue or having a bad day. As a manager, I’ve had these happen to me. We’re just human.

I assume that there are kiosks that you could’ve used. The lady was on her break, which you could see because you mentioned she was eating in the dining room. And yet she helped you, not getting paid and then you snatched the receipt out of her hand. It’s not her fault the other employees didn’t acknowledge you. She probably was annoyed that you refused to use the kiosk for no reason. They obviously are short handed. She is probably still on her break and doesn’t want to deal with you unpaid.

It's not shocking anymore yes it's unbelievable that it's happening but it doesn't matter anywhere you go including the doctor's office I hope you get your complaint resolved

It's sad how a lot of people never take pride in their job anymore. It's clear that she hates her job with a passion. I understand fast food can be quite stressful, but it's not the customers' fault, and she shouldn't take her life problems out on her customers.

I can understand where the rudeness from the manager come from. When I was in my teens I used to work at mcdonalds plenty of the customers I get were always rude and came to you with an attitude. Just being there for a few weeks you begin to feel miserable and distasteful for every customer that asked to order. I understand people want great customer service but it's mcdonalds and they get paid like crap to deal with rude customers. One thing I want to say is never be rude to fast food employees they may have signs to tell to their coworkers to mess up your food. Another thing about ice cream machines I can guarantee you this, if you see a fly inside mcdonalds then expect there to be flies around or inside the ice cream machine. Well after leaving mcdonalds to a local coffee shop the customers I had were friendly and it made me feel better about customer service jobs.

I am to the point where I refuse to go to McDonald’s anymore. I have one right my house and I stop going there cuz service was aweful. I would drive 10 min away just go to another McDonalds that was better service. Couple years later.. now they the same way. The next one in a different city is like 15 min away.. I refuse to go that far for quick food… so I just stop going to McDonalds period.

I'm as dumb as a stump and even I know to use the kiosk.And I think his name is Darren,I'm in New Jersey and people here are instinctively nasty but my McDonald's is a exception.They are very friendly, efficient and Clean.Theyre all Hispanic and the restaurant is run wonderfully. 🍔 🍟.

Most of the Mc Donald 's operate in the same nasty manner. They should take a customer service training. At 161st Street Riverside Yankee Stadium they have only attitude . They mess up on your order and instead of sppologizing they give you an attitude. They mess up your good energy and you don't even feel like eating your food. They should be boycotted so they could learn to appreciate the customers. If no customer how would they get their paycheck? Yankee Stadium Mc Donald manager needs to be on top of their employees. Nasty customer service. If you don't like your job quit and get one you really like but don't be rude to the customers

Well first off in Illinois you can not video taping and she is on her maybe unbreak .You could been refused service and told leave or face jail time and trespassed.

Lately it does seem that way. I was in Mcds today in Geneva ny upstate ny & the guy who waited on me was great. He's waited on me a few times & fairly new. Although he's always been really good. Forgot his name 😮 Although Wendy's in Geneva a few months back terrible. Mgr yelling at employee for something & like screaming at him the F word like 8 times, supposedly waiting for cops. Still bad for a mgr even if he stole $ I've noticed difft people there now & nicer.

It’s McDonald’s. I don’t know what you would expect. They would always or almost always give bad service. Guess it’s time to go to a different restaurant(something non-McDonald’s). I’m sorry to hear about your worst experience though, but if I was you, I would go to a completely different fast food restaurant within your vicinity area. Or at least somewhere where they treat their customers with respect give great service. Sorry if I sounded a bit rude during the first part, I know what it’s like to have bad service, but sometimes it doesn’t hurt to tell them that you’re going to take business elsewhere

Unfortunately This is going to be everywhere you go in the near future we should all shut these places down .The California Gov. signed into law for the minimum wage is to be raised to $22 an hour and with that you will see less humans and more Kiosk so like I said we better get used to it.McDonalds is a real shat hole here but it's actually better than the Jack's Hamburgers Both Suck .Steve were gonna have to start taking a cooler with our drinks and lunch in it like our parents did and I hope things get better but for the next couple years things are gonna get worse. Most fast food workers are permanently traumatised due to dealing with constant abuse, threats, physical violence, etc etc. They get paid pretty much nothing, and if they respond to anything up to and including being unalived with anything other than obsequiousness, they get fired.
