Tribal tattoos are cultural tattoos, they're not meant to look cool to other people. Every tribal tattoo is different for each person. Barbed wire tattoos are meant to symbolize suffering, oppression, or that you've been locked up before because of barbed wire's use in war and prison. Not all tattoos are to look cool, I guarantee if you ask someone what their tattoo means it's gonna have a back story.

She is a woman, she does not understand tribal markings like tattoos and never will because she has never been a hunter. Men understand tribal markings, but we also understand that most tribal markings these days are simply bullshit and means nothing. Real tribal tattoos have history, some times you can read the actual past of the person in the tattoo and so on, it's amazing. The Sami people in Norway have the same story type "marking", in their clothes, you can read which family they belong to, where they're from, when they're born and so on. Human history and tribal culture is amazing, you see it in Masai in Africa, Sami in Norway (and 4 other countries), natives in America, Maori and so on and so on. Most of the tribal markings today is just vanity, nothing real behind them.
@OriginalPuro different cultures are different, tribal women in your culture may not be able to get tattoos because their not "Hunters" but in my culture of Samoa, women are able to get certain tattoos (like a female version of the Pe'a) those designs are passed on through generations.

All n all, it seems to me that she was being satirical, which is my only concern as to why people are upset about these kinds of videos when they dont realize it's a joke. I live in the UK and I met a pale white guy who had tribal tattoos. I asked him if he was in a tribe and he said no he just thought they were cool at the time. So weird to me, why not tattoo your own culture instead of someone else’s that you have no idea about
I've been called all kinds of names and unsavory words for having a woman tattooed on my leg. Well that woman was the love of my life and has saved my ass long after her passing and deserves to be commemorated. So maybe get to know why they have these tattoos first before you immediately label them as cringy or tacky.

I never got tattoos, and it was because of something my dad said to me when I was a 14 year old dipsh1t. "The direction you're headed in, boy, you'd best do yourself a favour and don't get tattoos and also watch out for noticeable injury scars. The last thing you're going to need is to be easily identified". Even though what he said put me on the narrow beam, I still saw merit in his words.
Your father's a smart guy. Tattoos are also a form of self-mutilation. The person doesn't respect his/her own body. Women with tattoos especially have a lot of issues and are good for only one thing..

The Rock is Samoan. It's apart of his heritage, culture and birthright. Polynesian tattoos, especially maori ones, symbolize family and tribal lines. No real reason for caucasians or non-polynesians to get them
@@RTza91 Actually the Maori tattoo artists designed a whole style of tattoos that are "maori inspired" but do not carry any of the cultural significance. specifically so foreigners can get them. Instead of Ta Moko, these tattoos are called "Kirituhi" which means "Skin Writing" and they are just decorative tattoos with maori designs.
